Who carries little potty chairs with them? Yuck!

Well when my kids were little and were scared to sit on the big potty and even though they were boys did not want go standing up, I carried a small seat that went over the big seat in the bathroom with me in a backpack everywhere. I also carried wipes to wash it down after each use. So hey if they want to lug a potty seat around, go right ahead, but its contents should be disposed of IN A BATHROOM, not in the middle of a dance party, where I am assuming they let the child go in it there as well....that is YUCK!

I've seen too many to mention, honestly.

And, just for the record, I'm another woman, (with breasts), who feels like women need to wear bras. Sorry, I do. In fact, I think all people in general just need to have a better grasp of what they actually look like in their clothes.

Those toddler potties gross me out. I played on a softball team with someone who used one with their kid and they just kept raving about how much easier life was since they didn't have to look for bathrooms and then proceeded to let their kid poop in the stands right next to the dug out. The rest of us were shocked as there eas literatly a bathroom on the other side of rhe field so really not that inconvient of a walk.

I was in the bathroom at Epcot when a foreign woman handed me her infant. She went to the bathroom, washed her hands, grabbed her kid, and left. I was in such shock, I just stood there with the baby.

I am CRYING laughing about this one. So shocked, you just stood there with the baby!!!!!

Why do women need to wear bras? that's so weird. The only reason a woman should wear a bra is that she finds it comfortable. Not for the comfort of others.
But really explain to me how do other people not wearing bras affects you?

The same way a woman sitting on a park bench feeding her child affects others....it doesn't really but sometimes people just need to find something to complain about.

I am one that cannot, in good conscience, go without a bra. I envy those that can, but I just feel uncomfortable bouncing all over the place.

I applaud all the breastfeeding moms out there who are comfortable enough to feed their kids in public. I only nursed my daughter for 3 weeks (at that point I landed back in the hospital for another week with postpartum complications and my supply went away) and we never got the hang of it enough to try to attempt latching on without a cover. However, I actually think nursing on some of the dark rides is genius. I mean really, Haunted Mansion is a relatively long ride, you could totally get a decent snack in there. Hall of Presidents could also be a good option. Bonus point to anyone who can do it on Space Mountain.

Our last trip in May. We are leaving the MK mid afternoon, with 1 other person on our tram car. The guy decides this is a great time to clip his toenails - trimmings left for the next people on the tram. I just could not believe this was needed at this exact time.

I get those little hangnail/cuticle issues all the time that if I don't clip them, will hurt and peel back leaving the skin red and exposed. So I keep clippers in my purse. And even just for that I feel so self conscious using them!

There was a little girl around 6 at the Pop pool a couple years ago that only had a swim bottom on - no top. The CM did tell her family that they had to put a bathing suit top on her. It took a few tries until they finally got them to understand what they were talking about - they were from a different country and spoke relatively no English.

I saw a pre-teen girl (at least 12) at BB with no top. My 17 year old cousin and I just couldn't figure out what was happening. We stared dead eyed for a few seconds before we finally realized what we were seeing actually was happening. Then we both checked to make sure our tops were still there lol. So confused.

I was in the bathroom at Epcot when a foreign woman handed me her infant. She went to the bathroom, washed her hands, grabbed her kid, and left. I was in such shock, I just stood there with the baby.

LOL. Hysterical. Maybe she thought you were a CM. haha.

Who carries little potty chairs with them? Yuck!

Also confused about this. But mostly with the whole need to empty it in the trash cans next to food booths. So clearly the kid was using it...in what we can call the public square of HS.

We were at the Dumbo play area and this probably 8 year old boy stops right in front of where we sitting. He puts his hand down the back of his pants, pulls it out and sniffs it. He then proceeds to do it again with the other hand. Needless to say, we immediately moved on and used lots of sanitizer of my son.

This happened to me one time when I was unloading a boat on the Jungle Cruise. A little kid put his hand right down his pants for a couple seconds, then pulled it out and sniffed it. typically we have our hands out to help guests, but I snatched mine back so I wouldn't have to touch him! Terrible!!

The worst I've seen was at Cosmic Ray's where this woman had a handful of her toddler's hair and she was force feeding him spoonfuls of food. The poor thing was sobbing hysterically and she kept yelling at him to shut up. Thankfully CMs stepped in as soon as they realized it was happening because I didn't want to have to say something, since I was about to.

I heard that they changed the ponchos from yellow to clear because of incidents like these including someone trying to slip a baby onto ToT under one :sad2:
Quite possible but a CM told me it was because everyone looked the same with the yellow ones so people were losing other members of their group.

I saw some things at F&W, but I thought they were fun. haha. I saw a couple breaking up in front of Mexico, she was very very drinky and her bf kept saying why do you always do this!! As she mumbled non-words and stomped her foot. Also, that same night I saw some men dressed in kilts dancing on the fountain at America. They were so entertaining that I didn't even see the CMs tell them to get down. Willful blindness, I think.

On a serious note, the scariest thing I have seen was walking near space mountain during PHM/Presidents week. A very tall, broad shouldered adult male (maybe 30-35 ish?) was walking with an older, petite woman who was holding his arm as he appeared to have special needs. I will not speculate as to what specifically. Suddenly the woman started screaming frantically. The male was larger and there was no way she could hold him up, and it looked like he was having a seizure. He fell straight back to the ground and this continued for what felt like forever. I was shocked and terrified and then started looking around for a CM as it just happened to be an open spot where there were not any around (almost near the stage area there). A guest FLEW over and started helping, she appeared to be a nurse or doctor. A few others came over to help as well. Finally after awhile a CM ran over and then ran away probably to call medical. We did not want to stay there and stare at what was clearly a scary situation. But I still wonder if he was ok.

I also saw a woman pass out and fall backwards like a board at packet pick up for princess weekend. Just froze and straight down. Medical was there ASAP. I mean seconds between the event and them arriving. Immediately almost a dozen CM's and volunteers came up and formed a circle around her for privacy. I mean, it was near air tight! I was so impressed with how they handled it.

I saw so many under buns this weekend!!!! Ugh. I'm sorry girls. I do not want to see your butts. I'm not talking just short shorts. I'm talking your whole butt cheek. It's not cute. It's not stylish. It's ridiculous!

The hilarious part is you see them constantly pulling them down and out.

Yeah....that's not making a difference. Your butt is still out. Geeze.

So... I might get flamed for this but... I noticed a lot of very young babies on this last trip, including one at the table next to us in 'Ohana that screamed throughout the entire meal. I don't really understand why people would bring babies this young to Disney in the first place? I saw what looked like a newborn in a bassinet (think that's what it's called - stroller the baby can lay down in) and just felt so bad for her - it was SO hot out and she had the sun beating on her. I don't have an issue with women breastfeeding in public but I just think I'd be paranoid about the germs all over the place, heat, etc. if I had a baby that young in that environment.

Other than screaming babies, the only other disconcerting thing I've seen is a little kid throw up all over the walkway in AK. I am the type that immediately feels sick if I witness this, so I was fighting off nausea after that!

Oh, and yes the way too short shorts - not a good style fad at all.

ETA: Forgot that I also had my foot ran over by a stroller leaving the MK one night on this trip. At least the guy pushing the stroller was quick to apologize. It almost seems that this is unavoidable when it is so crowded with people and some are on wheels.

My husband and I have been to WDW many times, sometimes with children, sometimes by ourselves. We always go well after the hot season so that may partially account for not having seen some of the things in this post - the scantily dressed, the braless, the public breastfeeders, etc. But there is no time to go that does not expose us to ECVs and strollers, and never a time when we haven't encountered one or the other, or both, generally when we are in a crowd and not moving fast enough for you. It sounds like it's getting worse, and I hereby warn everyone who will be there February 23-March 4, 2016 that we personally ascribe to the basic rules of the road: you're responsible if you hit anyone in front of you...PERIOD! If you're riding an ECV, wearing heelies, or pushing a stroller and you hit someone, for ANY of the excuses given here, YOU are responsible and you need to STOP, APOLOGIZE, and MAKE AMENDS. And that includes giving your ID to the injured party in case there are broken bones (she ran over his foot and then parked on it...really??) Next time I will not meekly go buy bandages and another pair of socks when you draw blood on my heels - I will kick up the fuss this deserves, and YOU will pay for the new socks! There is never a reason for using your EVC or stroller as a battering ram!

And as there is even less excuse for public diaper changing, should that occur near me, you can plan on me directing you to the nearest restroom to conduct your messy and unsanitary business, and to properly dispose of your soiled articles. I am a generally kind and friendly grandmother, but I spent a lot of time teaching my children manners and responsible behavior and I expect you all to have done the same. It seems that common courtesy and responsibility would be the solution to almost all of these issues, and if you don't have any I may just give you a lesson.

I forgot about all the braless that I noticed a couple of weeks ago. Some you could tell but you could not really see anything. Others were very visibly braless under very thin shirts. If you don't want to wear a bra, fine but at least wear a shirt that doesn't advertise you are braless....Like I mentioned earlier in this thread though, we tend to go when lots of international guests are there. I think no bra is more common in other cultures.

And along the lines of the super short shorts. We see that everywhere we go really. But like a pp mentioned, these girls are constantly 'digging' the shorts out. That cannot be comfortable. It just can't. So why?? Why wear something you feel the need to reach up and mess with every few mins? I have teen dd's btw, and they think those shorts are gross and show too much.

I have seen all of these things! I find the butt shorts funny since the girls wearing them all seem to be trying to readjust their shorts - why wear something so clearly uncomfy? I wear long maxi skirts, and I get inside leg rash all the time (I use glide gel to prevent it) and I can't imagine the type of rash or blisters they might get. Well, except for the skinny girl with Taylor Swift legs. I hate them.:crazy2:

What I don't like to see is the enforcement of rides with children. I once saw a kid (3-4yrs old) screaming bloody murder to his dad about how he didn't want to ride HM. And not just how my son (3) does it. DS acts all scared when he gets on the ride, calls it "spooky" in his little sweet voice, and once we are out of the ride, he calls it "awesome" and wants to ride again. We know what's crocodile and what's not. But this kid DID NOT want to ride HM at all! He was petrified. The dad had every chance in the world to take him out of the line, but chose not to, and even threatened the kid with a spank if he didn't stop crying and ride HM. Really dude? Was it worth hitting or traumatizing your kid like that just to ride a stupid (OK, I love HM, but still) theme park ride? Really? And it was a family group - they could have ride swapped.

2 other things, and I will be brief:

1. BF is awesome, and while the family centers are great, it's hard when kid just needs to eat. I tried to plan around it, but sometimes....well, it is the quickest way to shut up a crying babe. Think about that a bit.:) I fed at the Blue Bayou at DL. Dark place, back table, and when the waiter came over I was all, "eyes up here guy!" I hadn't pumped (I couldn't really get in to it, I felt like a cow, ironically.), and babe was hungry. Every table we got was in the back and far away as possible. And that's what I will say.

2. Bras man, bras. Do or not do, there is no try, I guess. Personally, I could never go without since I'm pretty gifted. It would hurt, and I always think it must really hurt not to wear one. Even shelf tops look like they hurt - no support. I guess folks who are tinier are more lucky since it must not hurt (?) to not wear one? But the worst in a bra issue that I have seen is women running in the marathons or 1/2 who aren't wearing sport bras and have a lot of boob shaking around! Man, get those things up! All I can think is, "doesn't that hurt?" Does it? IDK? Just large boobs flopping and swinging side to side.

I use to have tiny boobs (every flat chested nick name I've been called) and let me tell you as a grown adult in a 32A sometimes you go braless simply because you have no options. There were times I would go to buy bras and not a single store would have my size.

I've also had to go braless due to a skin irritation. Sorry but if my bra chaifs so bad that it phsyically hurts to wear I'll take it off and put bandaids in place to seem a little more decent. I've had the chaifing twice at Disney with bras I was fitted for. Needless to say they were thrown away as soon as they came off.

FYI, I don't totally hate you :cutie: Just INSANELY jealous. Darn people who can wear cute sundresses and not have to hike the boobs up with bras. Really, I'm pretty jealous. Mainly talking about the people who really ought to be wearing supportive garments at, maybe runs or something and aren't. Goes for guys too - can we say bloody nipples? Man, that's something that just can't be unseen. Gel glide works wonders.

I had a lady in the bathroom ask if she could help me and I let her hold my baby so I could wash my hands. But she offered, lol. She had two grown daughters with her so I figured she wouldn't steal my kid now that she was an empty nester!

I think it's really sad that this thread has degenerated to another opportunity to shame breastfeeding mothers.

I personally love seeing breastfeeding moms in public. Breastfeeding is natural, normal, and healthy for babies. One of the best ways to help normalize and promote breastfeeding is for moms to breastfeed in public. I want to personally thank the moms who are reading this who had/have the confidence to breastfeed in public despite the harsh and, quite frankly, sad criticism that is often displayed.

Thank you! As a mother of 5 who breastfed all of my children I appreciate this. If someone has an issue with a mother feeding a child with her breasts as they are designed to do than that is the person with the issue. Please google historical breastfeeding photos so you can comprehend how puritanical we have become. And if you have an issue with a mother feeding her child I suggest you not look or cover your own darn head. In fact all those saying babies should be covered while eating I suggest eating all your meals under a blanket, perhaps that will teach you some compassion. And finally in all my years of breastfeeding I was never "showing off my boobs". My baby's head covered my nipple, the most you might have seen in you were being all pervy and staring at me would have been a little skin. So please folks stop with the shaming, if you are so offended about babies eating then don't leave the damn house and seriously google historical breastfeeding photos, a little education goes a long way.

I don't think anyone is shaming women for breastfeeding. Its shaming women who feel the need to expose their entire breast in order to feed their baby. You don't need to flop it out to feed your baby. There is nothing wrong with being discreet. Some families don't want their children to see that. Some adults don't want to see that. Just because YOU (not saying the 2 I quoted but "you" in general) feel its ok or have the attitude of "they can bug off if they don't like it" doesn't mean its acceptable to everyone. The facebook woman who went viral for letting her toddler and a friends toddler nurse her and then posted the pic on social media is a prime example of what I think most people are talking about. Its the hey look at me mentality that is honestly, disgusting. If you have the right to say its ok, others have the right to say its not. There are many different cultures in the world who view things differently. Its not always about YOU. Its not always about ME. Its about respecting other people when it causes you or your baby no harm, at all, to do so. Why is that so hard?

And be careful what you wish for. Yes, breastfeeding is natural. So is conceiving the child that you're feeding :-) Do you want to see that? I mean, its natural. I've seen people complain about changing a babys diaper on a table at WDW. Why does that bother them but breastfeeding doesn't? Both contain bodily fluids which are considered biohazards. If a woman is carrying a disease (she may not even know it yet) I don't want to sit where her bodily fluids have accidentally dripped or splattered. People think the whole breastfeeding debate is just about "shaming". Its not. Its about health and safety too. Where ever there is an open exchange of bodily fluids, you run the risk of spreading disease. Thats just the harsh truth.

Its not hard to plan ahead and pump for a bottle.
