Things you wish you'd never seen at Disney

Thank you! As a mother of 5 who breastfed all of my children I appreciate this. If someone has an issue with a mother feeding a child with her breasts as they are designed to do than that is the person with the issue. Please google historical breastfeeding photos so you can comprehend how puritanical we have become. And if you have an issue with a mother feeding her child I suggest you not look or cover your own darn head. In fact all those saying babies should be covered while eating I suggest eating all your meals under a blanket, perhaps that will teach you some compassion. And finally in all my years of breastfeeding I was never "showing off my boobs". My baby's head covered my nipple, the most you might have seen in you were being all pervy and staring at me would have been a little skin. So please folks stop with the shaming, if you are so offended about babies eating then don't leave the damn house and seriously google historical breastfeeding photos, a little education goes a long way.

I agree , breast feed both my children in many locations at Disney and could care less that people thought. I always told my husband "A woman wearing a low cut top exposes her breast the same way a nursing mother does if the baby is latched on."

Mine was about 2.5-3 years ago depending on what point of it haha. I heard it happens a ton so I would totally believe it happened again. At least once or twice a year (if not more) some idiot parent thinks they can sneak their baby on rides in their backpacks or under their shirts.

I heard that they changed the ponchos from yellow to clear because of incidents like these including someone trying to slip a baby onto ToT under one :sad2:

We've seen a few doozies.

One that kind of hits a nerve is seeing a child in an uncomfortable costume, where the child is begging to remove the part that is hurts, but the parents won't allow it. I've sadly seen it many times.

The worst was a very young girl was in a miserable, dangerous homemade Minnie outfit. The stupid thing had black bows everywhere! Including BIG floppy bows on her SHOES! It was August, and VERY hot. The many skirt layers of crinoline were clearly itchy and HOT, like a hair shirt. The poor girl kept scratching her legs. She politely asked to remove the headband bow that hurt and was rebuked.

Funny part was, dad and uncle(?) also had coordinating outfits. They guy version looked even more absurd! Mom's version wasn't really park appropriate or flattering.

The poor girl endured horrible begging, mom pouting, guilt trips. ("You're ruining all the hard work mommy did to make us look nice.")
I finally reached my boiling point, and politely found a way to help the child.

At least, she was 1 bow lighter.

Poor girl.

I wish I hadn't seen a woman drag her hysterically crying & screaming daughter who was clawing & grabbing anything she could to stop going down the ramp & around the corner to the train at BTMRR, & lastly she was shoved in the back car & was told by her mother that she (the little girl) was making everyone stare:mad:. No CM did anything. I wish they would have.

We were at the Dumbo play area and this probably 8 year old boy stops right in front of where we sitting. He puts his hand down the back of his pants, pulls it out and sniffs it. He then proceeds to do it again with the other hand. Needless to say, we immediately moved on and used lots of sanitizer of my son.

ewww, ewww, ewww...kids can be so gross.

Our last trip in May. We are leaving the MK mid afternoon, with 1 other person on our tram car. The guy decides this is a great time to clip his toenails - trimmings left for the next people on the tram. I just could not believe this was needed at this exact time.

Someone changed their baby's diaper on the little ledge in front of my ticket window the other day. Could have done without that.

Ooh ooh...almost forgot: EMH in Epcot. It's late. A bit after 11pm. DH and I are walking near Figment when along comes a family, bunch of adults and one very tired, miserable looking 3/4 year old. The little girl is just quietly weeping. Tears rolling down her cheeks. Mom is literally dragging her (whole group is loud and obnoxious and have clearly had more than a few). Little girl pleads with parents to go home "But Mommy PLEASE...I'm so tired." She says in the most pitiful little voice. Mom just snorts and says "Now Suzy, part of learning how to be an adult is learning how to stay up late." And off they drag her more.

Yeah...i've always thought 3/4 is the time to learn to man up and be an adult.

I can't imagine Disney allows this! Even if their country is ok with it, when people come to our country don't they need to follow the rules of the United States? As the mother of two 13 year old boys, I'm sure this would be the talk of their whole vacation if this happened LOL I, however, would be horrified and without a doubt would be finding someone to complain to :(

There was a little girl around 6 at the Pop pool a couple years ago that only had a swim bottom on - no top. The CM did tell her family that they had to put a bathing suit top on her. It took a few tries until they finally got them to understand what they were talking about - they were from a different country and spoke relatively no English.

We've seen a few things over the years. A couple of trips ago (2013, I think), we were staying at BLT on the 'inside the C' part of the resort. One night my dh & I were sitting outside on the balcony after the kids had gone to bed. A lady in another room comes out of the shower (I guess), drops her towel and stands there completely naked. Brushing her hair, drying off...Um, it is dark outside, light in your room, and you have the curtains open...We can ALL see you!!

Lots of barely there swimsuit attire...thongs, tween girls with no tops...we tend to travel when US kids are in school so I think there are more international guests at that time. As mentioned already, their culture is way different.

And yes, as already mentioned, the PDA in the parks has gotten bad. We were there a couple of weeks ago, and the couple in front of us at Space could not keep their hands off each other. He kept groping her in a way that should never be done in public. We were there without kids, thank goodness, but I don't want to see that either.

And we are never going to the Dumbo play area again. Gag!

I really try hard not to judge other parents, but omg. That is so terrible and selfish. So I'm judging. Just wow.

We were at Disneyland last fall in the middle of when Ebola was getting a lot of press, etc., and while my daughter and I were watching the Dapper Dans sing a guy full-on puked his guts out on the sidewalk right in front of us. That was not good. I knew logically that it was not Ebola, but my anxiety brain spent about 10 minutes screaming WE ARE ALL GOING TO GET EBOLA before I could get a handle on it!

No. But thank you for your suggestion. Women have breasts deal with it.

Another woman with breasts who would like other females with breasts to wear bras...thank you very much. And no I dont put BFeding moms in this category.

All my weird things were seen in the same trip...
A poopy diaper changed in the FP line for Jungle Cruise, mom knew before she entered.

A dad emptying a little kid potty during the Frozen dance party at DHS near the food carts.

A rather large woman in an ECV (now I dont care that she was very heavy, she probably has a medical condition but it is important to the story) rode over a man's foot during the castle show before Wishes, the poor man was screaming, I felt so bad for him, and this lady was clueless at first, she eventually got off but could not figure it out her EVC. I would be very surprised she didnt break his foot.

A mom too busy filming the castle show with her phone, to notice that her stroller age kid could not see. It was umbrella stroller and he rocked it hard enough for it to tip over and the poor little guy hit his head right on the pavement.
