Things I would never have done without the DIS

We also asked for the Cowboy scene on The Great Movie Ride after reading about it on the DIS. Instead of the Gangster skit, it is a Cowboy skit. We sat in the front and really enjoyed it, I thought it was an urban legand until we asked!!:rotfl:.
Another thing I learned was how to get picked for the Indiana Jones Stunt show. Also we would never had tried Grey Goose Slushies or Dole Whips unless we had learned about them here.
:thumbsup2

Things I've learned:

  1. What a bounceback offer is and to book one should I be so lucky to get one in my room
  2. If there's no bounceback offer in my room, to ask housekeeping
  3. About the pure insanity of getting FastPasses for TSM as well as having to be there for rope drop if we want to ride more than twice
  4. The hard ticket parties (MVMP & MNSSHP)
  5. That you can use your fast passes after the time printed on the ticket but not before
  6. To constantly check on-line for ressies you couldn't originally get (most of the time you'll luck out and be able to get last minute ressies from others that cancel
  7. To let the little ones nap mid-day
  8. Questions to ask the characters to get them to be more interactive
  9. How to generate a pin code

Also the quarters and pennies stack wonderfully in a mini m&m tube-stack 2 quarters and a penny repeatedly and you are good to go.

That is a tremendous idea! I'm 30, but I LOVE pressed pennies- always have! I will be doing this for my upcoming trip!!!!!

The best thing that I have learned from the Dis... is that I'm not alone in my obsession!!

And, of course, there have been lots of other things, too.

:rotfl:

Disney resorts are part of RCI now (I think were Interval till this year). I could kick myself as one day I saw a 1 bdr at AK pop up and didn't book it right away....and of course was gone by the time I got home from work. That would have been one sweet trade.:)

Oh sooo much!!!

  • ADR's
  • Fastpass times
  • Being sooo busy at Easter, I really had no clue ;)
  • Grocery delivery service

/
Watched the Electric Light Pageant at the Poly

Viewed fireworks from O'Hana

Had a diver deliver a birthday message to my son while we ate at the Living Seas

Rented a DVC from a member

Bought a DVC!!!

Good Lord, what WOULD i have known??? That Disney was crowded, expensive and just another 'amusement park'.

Because of the Dis, every one of my trips has been magical and fresh and exciting. I can NEVER thank you all enough.

Many hugs.

1. didn't kknow you could decorate your own pretzels! want to do that next trip :)
2. I didn't know people decorated their rooms!!! collecting things in my WDW hope chest to decorate our room in thanksgiving!!!!!

I love DIS!! hehe I will also be adding lime green mickey heads to my park items this year!!!

Never would have known about and glad to have done:

2) Grey Goose Slushies

I want to know where, please do tell...????? :rotfl2: I will have to try this on our trip in June... see I learned "SOMETHING" new from my fellow Dis'ers
now I must continue to read to see what else I been missing all these years... !!!!:surfweb:

I think the Grey Goose Slushies are from the Canada Pavillion. Don't know for sure as I don't drink.

hmm...so many to choose from

dolewhips, gran marnier slush, fixing the ac, handy menus, great parade viewing, cs and ts reviews and recommendations, crocs, room decorating, custom cakes...and sooo many more-thanks dis!!

SOOOO many things, but I would have NEVER known I could RENT DVC points!! We now are able to stay at a Deluxe resort, on a Value price. This will be year 2 of renting, and we're SO thrilled! The resort sets the tone of your trip. :love:LOVE staying onsite! Now we're ruined. I can't imagine NOT staying at a deluxe!! :cloud9:

My 7 year old daughter still likes princess things but is really growing out of it. She was still interested in BBB, but the cost was too much. On DIS I found out that we can get her hair done with colored gel and sparkles for a fraction of the cost at the harmony Barber Shop in MK. I'm really glad I found out about that!

I agree on this one. My DD is 8 and when we arrive on April 30 this is the first thing we are going to do. Last time we went to DTD my DD was 6 and wanted BBB. I used the excuse that we had no time. When she brought it up again I told her about the Barber Shop and she thought that was a great idea. Thanks DIS! :yay:

1. I could ride Star Wars without the motion at night if there is no line.
2. Ride in the front of the monorail (you can't do this now)
3. Ride Cindrella's and Prince Charmings horse on the merry-go-round.
4. Get an Guest Assistance Card for my Autistic son.
