Things I would never have done without the DIS

Hey Barley. I thought I knew everything but what is the raining unbrella????

It is back on the street where the Power Rangers come out. It sits on the sidewalk and there is a button you push to get the shower to come out. :thumbsup2

Simply too many things to list.. my wife started our obsession with this board years ago.. I have since become a "Dis-addict" ever since..

From park tips, to resorts, to dining and show experiences.. the Dis has really helped us get the most out of our Disney experiences!!!

Cool... I learn something new every day!

I knever would have known of Disney Merchandising.

They can find anything you can purchase in the parks and mail it to you. I used them to purchase my Epcot and animal Kingdom Passports before our trip. That way we did not need to take our Kids to any Kiosks before entering the parks in the morning. You never know if being in a shop to buy one thing will lead to pleas to buy another

We almost had to use it when we could not get back to purchase an item that my youngest decided to save most of her money for. A friend was luckliy going two weeks after us but merchandisning was my backup plan.

Their number is 407-363-6200

Hoping this bump up will bring some more ideas..we got some new members who could use some help;)

Frogg Togg Chilly Pads :thumbsup2 Keeping COOL in september is always a plus and I had never heard of these clever towels till I read about it here.

Also thanks to DIS member dcanoli for emailing me the "Theme Park Secrets" mini book for all 4 parks in file card size to carry around the parks with me. I would have NEVER known all those cool little facts had I not found the thread on the DIS. ;)

Plus everything else people here have already mentioned so I wont repeat it all

Do you still have the mini book available? If so, I would love to have a copy! :goodvibes

I would never had know to get a spot for Wishes on the left side of Main street facing the Castle. This allowed us to pop into the shop directly behind us and walk alll the way through the back of the shops to the entrance (they are all connected in the back). No crazy Main street crowds for us!:thumbsup2 Of course we did have to get there quite early but with a four year old those crowds can be quite scary.

My 7 year old daughter still likes princess things but is really growing out of it. She was still interested in BBB, but the cost was too much. On DIS I found out that we can get her hair done with colored gel and sparkles for a fraction of the cost at the harmony Barber Shop in MK. I'm really glad I found out about that!

that is awesome! I just found this because I' was looking for info on the Family Quest at Magic Kingdom but this is great do know. Are reservations required?

I had completely forgot about the barber shop! If you have a girly girl and a boy or tomboy in your group Pirates league has an Empress pirate package with lots of pink and sparkles. My son and older tomboy DD had survived BBB followed by lunch in the castle so on the second trip we promised some more pirates less princesses. My girly girl was in when she found out that Empresses were rulers so she would be the boss of the pirates and still sparkle:rotfl:
my son looked so much like a pirate it was scary! We had bought pirates costumes after Halloween and tshirts that looked like pirate ware for us older folk so we were all ready for the Pirates and pals cruise that night!

One warning about the Pirates league. It is much cheaper than BBB but they get you on the pictures. BBB is on Photopass which we loved (thank you dis!). Pirates league is alacart photos. Once you see how great they look it will be hard not to buy something and they are expensive. Look to have pix taken with Pirate Goofy outside POC ride. That's free but you gotta have your cameras!

Pirates league.
Pirate voyage.

Both were well worth the money.

Upgraded from CBR to AKL. Thank you again to the ones who talked me into that. It was so relaxing, I got up before my family every morning and wandered the grounds.

So many other things. I have entire list of snacks to try that came from this site. This is a great place, it really helps pass the time between the magic.

Fabulous thread!!!! i would have never made matching shirts for my Disneyland Half Marathon. Everyone loved them. Thank you soooo much to the wonderful designers on this board!
