THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Even the pictures of those nachos looked gross!!! I did not realize the Magic Your Way now had two rounds of mini-golf! Our next trip is the first without military tickets in a while...so I am excited to hear this!! :goodvibes I have mini-golf on my itinerary!!

I am looking so forward to the DL TR! I loved the pictures and FB hinted at a great trip!!

Love the pictures of the Swan and Fantasia golf course. Looks beautiful!

Awesome pictures of Mulch, Sweat & Tears- looks like they are on stage. Is that new? I have only seen them on their truck.

Bummer about the nachos at Sci Fi. We always eat there (we actually request the tables instead of a car so we can talk to each other). I had the single nastiest thing I have ever eaten at Disney here- the shrimp pasta. My DH asked me why I ordered a shrimp pasta dish at a hamburger place. I don't know :confused3 but I won't be doing that again.

If you book a package you get 2 rounds of golf no matter how many people are in your party. So if have 4 people you just have to pay for 2. IMO its one of the better offerings in the package.

It honestly was an amazing trip :)

That area is my favorite in all of WDW :)

They were only on the stage because it was set up for May the 4th and Star Wars Weekends.

In the past we always liked their food but they are seriously lacking when it comes to gluten free options.

So back to May....

Grammar police says that should be, "May we go back".

Or something like that.

We were going to spend some time at the Boardwalk area

never been there,
never done that.

As we boarded, we heard a couple drivers talking and they were discussing how "all extra drivers were being sent over to the Magic Kingdom" and that it was "crazy" over there. This made us quite glad that wasn't going to be our next destination.

Just out of curiosity, would you still have gone if it had been your next stop?

After a brief ride our bus arrived at the Swan

never been.....

oh, you know the rest.

By now you have probably figured out that we were headed over to the Fantasia mini golf course.

Nope. Not a clue, actually! :rotfl:

Now that the "Magic Your Way" package includes 2 rounds of mini golf we always try and find time to play. Ya can't beat free!

Never...

<sigh>

When we got there is was a bit busy so while we waited for our tee time we went into the arcade and played some PacMan. Yep, we're old school :rotfl:

Good choice! :thumbsup2

and in the end I came out the victor! :cool1: (only by 2 strokes but who's counting?)

Well.... apparently... you! :lmao:

We got into the park just in time to catch my favorite WDW "live" performers! Mulch, Sweat and Shears! If any of you aren't familiar with them they are "landscapers who double as a rock cover band". And they are so fun!!

I seem to recall you mentioning them before. I honestly don't remember if I've heard them. I'm going to go with, "not".

There seems to be a trend developing, doesn't there?

When the concert finished we were a bit hungry so we headed over to the SciFi to see if we could get a table. Unfortunately, we did

Woot!

Oh... wait....

Hmmm ok can't go wrong with nachos can you?

Nope. Pretty much bullet proof.

Behold! The worst nachos in the history of nachos!! They were horrible!

Unless you're using blanks? That's too bad. How do you screw up nachos?
Chips.
Throw cheese on.
Melt.
Eat.

Doesn't feel like it oughta be that difficult?

I'll let Caitlin tell you where we ended up. Thanks for reading :)

Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

That sounds a bit Yoda-ish to me :rotfl:

never been there,
never done that.

Well what are you waiting for?!

Just out of curiosity, would you still have gone if it had been your next stop?

Oh no! I try and avoid crowds so we would have changed plans.

never been.....

oh, you know the rest.

Well you must give it a try!

Nope. Not a clue, actually! :rotfl:

Never...

<sigh>

Good choice! :thumbsup2

thank you

Well.... apparently... you! :lmao:

I may be a tad competitive ::yes::

I have no idea how they screwed up nachos but they did!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been slow moving since we got back! It has been crazy trying to get pictures from photopass and my iphone and the camera all sorted out! I am here to make up for it though!

When we last left off we had, had a horrible dining experience. I am glad that this was the only gluten free issue we had though! After we left we decided against food for the moment and decided to cross off one of our trip bucket list items.

We were headed here

To meet some very cool characters!

Not these guys but I was super excited about this movie and it did not disappoint!

Nope we were meeting these two!

Ralph and Vanellope! I loved Wreck it Ralph and was very excited to meet them! Plus their meet and greet are was too cute!

They had a screen playing a video of the video game we had played earlier.

I don't know if many of you are gamers out there but I am and I was laughing at all of the puns listed on this board.

When it says Legend of Zelda missing a Link. Link is the main character in the game.

Halo is one of my favorite games so I had to get a picture of it on the board!

Aww poor broken game!

On crazy taxi you want to get people to their destination ahead of schedule for more points.

After having more fun in line than I have had since Haunted Mansion it was my turn to meet them!

Then mom got in on the fun!

After that we decided to check out the Back Lot Tour. I am not sure how we were making decisions tonight but I guess trying to do whatever we didn't do :confused3

I have good memories of participating in this show!

If I remember correctly the group they had today was really funny!

Time for some fire

I don't think he quite understands what he is in for just yet

After watching someone get doused with water it was time to head to the tram

Oh Miley why did you ever have to leave Disney and become some weirdo? :sad2:

I am not sure if this counts as a hidden Mickey or not

A dragon. I am pretty sure we waited in this line for a while!

Now this is a hidden Mickey

Then we went through the usual spiel

On your left you will see a plane. I am pretty sure you are all only riding this ride because your feet hurt or your children are too small to do anything else and I hate to break it to you but this ride will make standing in line 90 for Toy Story Mania seem not quite as painful.

Oh and you can see the earful tower. Get it?! It's a pun on the Eiffel tower. Yep been using this same monologue since 1990.

Now we are going on to a live set. Hopefully nothing goes wrong! Although it will because we have to cram 10 seconds of excitement into this dreadful ride.

On your right one of the only cool and not obscure props you will see the Disney airplane.

And now you may get off and yell are your spouse, husband or child that forced you onto this. Enjoy the wardrobe area we have set up for you which is much more up to date and high tech than this ride has ever been!

I know this is from the Sound of Music but this is very creepy!

I have never liked puppets.

Not sure what this is from

I am pretty sure this is from The Shining

Afterwards we headed through the Pixar area and ran into this guy

I had to get a picture

He blew me a kiss as I left :lovestruc

I am pretty sure we were on the hunt for food at this point and bypassed this

Now if Captain Jack was meeting here I wouldn't pass it up. In fact it would probably be hard for me to leave here.

Walked past here

We headed to the Guest Services area to see if they had an recommendations but they only recommended ABC Commissary so naturally we ended up here

After talking to the very nice chef I got a gluten free vegetarian pizza

and mom got pepperoni

Both would have been better if they weren't quite as greasy.

After enjoying some time sitting and eating we decided it was time to head out. We had, had a very busy day!

Night Gertie!

Night Mickey statue

Good night singing mannequin

Had to say good night to Bo!

We headed back to the room and crashed!

Next up dad joins us!!!!!!

Nice update. I remember being in the show on the Backlot tour as well. It was a lot of fun.

I fell insanely behind with all the trip preparation going on here, but hey, I’m back now!!

Dino is a no go for me, I’ll go on it once, and if there’s a new person in our travel group, but that’s about it! I do not accept it! Lol.

Love TH, glad that the chef was so friendly and welcoming to the allergy! That’s awesome!!

Great updates! Love the relaxin boat ride in there, DHS to Epcot/BW area is always so nice! Love it! Aw, too bad the nachos were so horrible! I have to say, I’m not the biggest fan of any of the food in DHS, it’s just not great!

I love all the stuff in the Ralph queue, it’s so adorable and just awesome!!

Yay for gluten free pizza! Glad they could do that for ya! I have to agree, I love me some Disney pizza, but it’s usually too greasey for me, and I end up wiping the top off with a napkin before eating it to try and absorb some of that haha!

Great pics! :)

Thank you!

Thank you!

It is such a fun experience and so easy to volunteer for and get in to!

I hope your trip is amazing!

Aw I love Dinosaur!

It was a great dining experience!

The only place I like in DHS is 50s nowhere beats that at DHS!

The Ralph Q was awesome I hope they put just as much thought into the Frozen one!

I tried wiping off the top and it didn't help much! I was a little disappointed.:(

Great Update! Can't wait until you get to your DL trip report.

I have to agree with you about the backlot tour, but I do enjoy the costume displays afterwards. I hope the creepy puppets are still there when we go in October. I love the Sound of Music.

We have two more days to get through until we are there! I promise we will get a move on!

The costumes are fun to look at!

Wreck It Ralph is on my to be watched list. Looks like its a favorite with most people so I want to see it.
Totally agree about Backstage Tour. It really needs an upgrade. It was fun when it first opened but there are no surprises anymore. Nothing interesting to see backstage, especially since they cut the area short.
Love the green army man - one of my favorites!

It's a very good movie!

I am hoping they eventually close it to open up a new area in DHS.

It was a fun meet!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been slow moving since we got back!

That's okay....

I've...

been......

slow........

read......

.....ing.

After we left we decided against food for the moment and decided to cross off one of our trip bucket list items.

After the nasty nachos... hmmmm.... maybe they could call them that?

Nasty Nachos - You'll leave wanting less!

Anyway... After the nasty nachos, I'm not surprised that you lost your appetites!

Not these guys but I was super excited about this movie and it did not disappoint!

Still haven't seen it. :sad2:

Ralph and Vanellope! I loved Wreck it Ralph and was very excited to meet them!

<sigh> Nope. Haven't seen that one, either.

I don't know if many of you are gamers out there but I am and I was laughing at all of the puns listed on this board.

Yup! I got some of them, at least.

Aww poor broken game!

Was is supposed to be backwards? :confused3

I don't think he quite understands what he is in for just yet

Pretty sure he had it all figured out shortly afterwards.

Oh Miley why did you ever have to leave Disney and become some weirdo? :sad2:

That movie I did see. Both DDs were big Hanna Montana fans back then.

Oddly enough, not so much, now.

On your left you will see a plane. I am pretty sure you are all only riding this ride because your feet hurt or your children are too small to do anything else and I hate to break it to you but this ride will make standing in line 90 for Toy Story Mania seem not quite as painful.

:lmao: Actually, we didn't mind the tour.

Maybe 'cause we only ride it once every 20 years or so...

Oh and you can see the earful tower. Get it?! It's a pun on the Eiffel tower. Yep been using this same monologue since 1990.

What??? That's brilliant!! Earful tower!!! OMG!!! They should so keep using that line!!!!

:rolleyes1:

Although it will because we have to cram 10 seconds of excitement into this dreadful ride.

:rotfl:

I still remember when we saw the dress that Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman

Not sure what this is from

Dead Poets Society.

Good movie. Rent it.

Afterwards we headed through the Pixar area and ran into this guy

Was he hurt? Did you knock him down?

Now if Captain Jack was meeting here I wouldn't pass it up. In fact it would probably be hard for me to leave here.

Oh? Why not? Do you like the anarchistic lifestyle?

We headed to the Guest Services area to see if they had an recommendations but they only recommended ABC Commissary so naturally we ended up here

Only. recommended. ABC Commissary.... :faint:

Really?
I guess they figured that the food is so bad there, that there wouldn't be a wait?

We headed back to the room and crashed!

Next up dad joins us!!!!!!

I bet you crashed! Busy day!
Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

You really had bad look with food that day.
I have ridden the Backlot ride one time. It was on my first trip to Disney World in 1995. Obviously I was not impressed. I hope some of the rumors are true about using that space for something else, ANYTHING else.
