THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Those bats are so creepy!!! I don't think I could hang around there very long! :faint:

I love the picture of the prayer flags. It's really beautiful with the sunlight coming through!

DeVine!!! I really hope I get to see her in November. I missed her on my last trip. I'll definitely have my eyes peeled this time.

A couple of enjoyable updates!

Pop looks like a lot of fun. Really nice touches. I always thought I would enjoy it there.

:woohoo: on the return of the phone! Glad you were able to pick it up AND get a Lapu Lapu in the process. Nice planning ;)

We haven't eaten at Ragland Road. The chowder looks like a good choice. I am one of those New England snobs who *shudders* at the thought of red chowder.

FYI- if you ever make it over to the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club, they make a fresh (like not until you order it) clam chowder. My DH and son both ordered this. It was amazing!!!

Really cute Tree of Life picture of the two of you. I like the way your colors coordinate. :goodvibes

It's Tough to be a Bug- I swear, that has to be the scariest attraction in Disney! Poor innocent children brought in to see that cute Flik guy- I have never heard so much crying and screaming in a theatre! We took our boys when they were 9 and 6. Did not warn them of some of the 4-D experiences. They haven't gone back!
"Two chicks, but no boys, walk into Disney Quest"

I bet those words have not been written too many times before.

I am not a fan of this place. It is loud and dark and I find it to be very disorganized. There is no real limit to the people playing the arcade games, so if you want to try one and are waiting for the guy playing before you, there is nothing that prevents them from playing as long as they want instead of sharing the game with others who are in line. Once, my son was waiting about 10 mintues for someone to finish up, when the guy finally left, another family tried to cut in and jack the machine. Um. No!

Love your pictures from the Maharajah trail, even the bats!

The pictures with Dug are ADORABLE!!!

You got some nice photos of Devine- it can be tough for her not to look creepy in pictures, but yours are really good!

Enjoying all your recent updates. Too much to comment on. Sorry Raglan Rd was a bust. Denny didn't love it either and he literally complained about his salad (and he NEVER complains). But the atmosphere is fun.

Glad you both had such an awesome trip. Really enjoyed reading about it.

Have a wonderful time in DL! :thumbsup2

Okay, so I read the title update, and was all “AHH I WAS THERE ON THE 9TH!” Seriously…Then I scroll down and am all “WHAT?! I WAS AT ANIMAL KINGDOM!”

…small world…

Love Caitlin’s tank top…I think I’ve said that nearly every update, she’s got some good style! Haha. Awe. Too bad that Russell slept in, but at least you got Dug! Haven’t done the Bug show yet, and probably won’t, I would be like one of those small children, very very scared!

Amazing AK pics, they really sum up the detail and the feel of the park that most people miss! Good updates! I’m curious to see where you went later that day and the next to see if we maybe crossed paths somewhere in there! Who knows!?

It's such a small world. It would be awesome if you turned up in one of our pictures! :)

That would be so cool!!
-------

I love Dug! So is he there regularly then? I hope he stays for a while, I would love to meet him but we aren't going back until next year :sad1:

Nice pics of the tigers, I like watching them, they are so beautiful! I love the rest of Maharajah trek but those bats creep me out! :scared1:

Great pics of the animal carvings on the TOL, the It's Tough To Be a Bug show is fun, I hate bugs of all kinds but animated ones I can handle! LOL

Dug and Russell appear there daily now. There is also some sort of Wilderness Challenge that has been added this summer.
Those bats creep me out too!

Once they started moving and spreading their wings I was ready to move on!

In November hopefully you'll get to see her and the new character Bamboo.

A couple of enjoyable updates!

Thank you.

Pop is really cute and they have great customer service. If I'm not staying at a deluxe, Pop is my top choice.

:woohoo: on the return of the phone! Glad you were able to pick it up AND get a Lapu Lapu in the process. Nice planning ;)

I was very surprised that they found the phone and how easy it was to get it back.

We love Captain's Grille! We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there at various times and it never disappoints. We'll have to try their chowder.

Aww poor boys! That attraction terrifies kids!
Since Disney packages now include 2 admissions into DQ we figured it was worth stopping by. I would not pay to go there though.

We have had better experiences at Ragland Road than we did that night. I'm not sure if we hit an off night or if it's going downhill. It is a fun atmosphere.

Thank you. We did have a wonderful time and outside of losing the phone it was very free of drama.

Thank you! We will!

Hi! Love following your trip reports, and can't wait for the DL one, since my DH has decided when we visit my SIL in San Diego at the naval base, we can spend a few days there! Reading along makes me super excited to have my own adventures with my three kids someday! I have to ask, Dawn, where did you find your Monster's Inc bag you carried on your AK day? My youngest is a dead ringer for Boo, and she would love it! Thanks!

Thank you :)
I had that bag made by someone off of Facebook. They do personalized Disney lanyards, bags, tees etc. For Halloween last year we did Monsters Inc so I had that bag made for myself and Caitlin was Boo and had one with her. Boo is adorable your little one must be a doll :)

I agree with you, bats are GROSS! I'll take the tigers, thank you.

I also agree with your snack choice. My daughter and I love Disney popcorn.

I hope your Disneyland trip is great. I can't wait to hear about it and see all the pictures.

I'm glad I'm not the only bat hater :rotfl:
Disney popcorn is the best!
Thank you :)

All caught up! Phew! When you guys get serious about posting...
Too much to comment on, but loved all of it. I kept reading and looking and thinking "Oh, I should say this about that, or that about this."
But there's too much!

Lovin' all the pics.

Glad you got your phone back.

If I had HM toms, I just might wear 'em too! :lmao:

Sorry we posted too much!

Thank you! We were too!

I thought about you when I was having them made my fellow HM enthusiast!

I hope everyone is having a great week! I am trying to crank out the updates so we can start the DL one when we get home :thumbsup2 Only two more days!!!!!!!!!!

When Mom left off we were being mauled by ducks!!! It was very funny but after we ran out of popcorn they got bored with us and we needed to move along.

We walked this way but didn't ride this

Instead we were headed through here

Nope no digging through bones

Nope no dinosaur equivalent of Dumbo

It wouldn't be a trip to AK without a ride on this baby!

Seriously I love this ride!!!!! The whole will we won't we make it and the nuttiness that ensues is just amazing! I would ride this all day with Seeker yelling at me if I could!

Once we got back with our iguanodon we headed to this store.

I love all the knick knacks and the cheesiness of it!

We didn't find anything so we headed out.

You're welcome Dinoland we will be back in November!

Trying to kill time we ended up in Camp Mickey and found this guy

He will write a song for whoever you want so naturally I had him write one for Andrew

Andrew's Song

I love that song! I remember being so excited to show Andrew it! For those of you that aren't on my facebook, instagram or twitter, I am back home in MI. Things were really bad in LA so I had to move back home. I am doing okay but it has caused quite the drama this summer. I posted this video though because despite it making me want to cry, I remember how excited I felt and how ready for a new adventure I was at that moment and it makes me smile. Even though things didn't work out it's nice to remember the times when I was still excited.

So moving on it was lunch time!

But we had to stop for alcohol first!

I was so excited to try this! The Lost on Safari!! I believe the first time I heard about this was on one of MEK's TRs and I couldn't wait to try it! It was very good!

Our lunch was at Tusker House and it was an amazing gluten free experience! The chef came out and walked me around the buffet listing what I could have. She was very friendly and asked me if I wanted pita bread and hummus or mac and cheese and I said yes to both! The pita bread was so good for those of you familiar with Olga's it tasted like their snackers. She also brought me out two pre packaged cookies she told me at all of the restaurants they have to try all of the food whether it is gluten free or regular and she said this was the best dessert she has tasted. The cookie was huge so she said one was for now and one I could take with me. The cookie was butterscotch and it was sooo good! I really appreciated how friendly she was!

After lunch we headed out

Where to next?

Judging by the time of your last post, I think it must be Disney day for you lovely ladies!

Have the best time EVER!

That is a beautiful picture of the infamous Lost on Safari! :rotfl2: Next time you visit WDW you must go to OKW and try the Turtle Krawl. Amazing!

So glad they had so many gluten free choices at Tusker House.

I agree that the ceiling is so pretty!

Another fun update!

Tomorrow we leave!!!!!

Thank you!

I had set up an ADR for lunch at Olivia's we may just have to keep it!

It was awesome!

Glad you enjoyed it!

You can't say that unless you intend to ride RNR next.

Not my rules. Disney copywrite.

Instead we were headed through here

Oh, now you're just being silly. Everyone knows that apatosaurus' were herbivores. I'm sure you didn't go through his neck.

Nope no dinosaur equivalent of Dumbo

But wouldn't that make for an interesting ride. At the end of it (or during... I'm not fussy) one or more riders run the risk of being eaten.
Disney's. Most. Exciting. Ride.
Ever

It wouldn't be a trip to AK without a ride on this baby!

Seriously I love this ride!!!!! The whole will we won't we make it and the nuttiness that ensues is just amazing! I would ride this all day with Seeker yelling at me if I could!

Only been on it twice, but it's definitely a great ride! :thumbsup2

Once we got back with our iguanodon we headed to this store.

Huh. Never been in there. Guess I'll havta check it out next time.

He will write a song for whoever you want so naturally I had him write one for Andrew

Very nice. :thumbsup2

atta girl

Oh, I see.... The big cheese comes out and the glasses come off, right Dawn? Hmmmm???? Does Dale know?
First no song just for him and now this?

Where to next?

FotLK?
Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes
