~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

The puppy is adorable..too bad you cant bring all of them home with you. We have a boxer that we rescued, she is a big ole baby..but we love her.

Just a quick hey. I'm in the hospital with stomach issues. Puppy pictures are just what the Dr ordered. Adam is such a cutie!

What a beautiful machine and you are lucky to have the cabinet.
Thanks Chiara! You look fabulous in your profile pic. You've lost some serious weight.
This is a beautiful machine... I cannot remember the difference between the 201-2 and the 15-91... I think the 201 is belt driven? Mine is gear driven, I know that for sure...

Both of my machines came in a cabinet... Neither of them are in the cabinets now. V uses her cabinet as a dressing table in her room and the othe one we have in our kitchen to charge our phones on. :thumbsup2
I think that sounds about right. Is there a belt I should be checking on? :rolleyes1I am terrible at maintenance. I am lucky this machine has been in such great shape. I just dabble a bit of oil where the instruction manual tells me to regularly.

I just wish the cabinet was a bit more fitting for my home decor. Everything in my home is traditional/provincial and then there's this modern deco cabinet. It's a struggle. :charac2:

Puppies are ADORABLE~~~~ Almost makes me want another, but we have such our hands full with Mr. Rogue. Sigh We really need to get him help for behaviour. He has fear aggression, darn dog is scared of EVERYTHING. We can't really even have people over (well except V, and the dog walker, he loves them)Sadly fixing behaviour doesn't help his allergies. Why did we get such a lemon :(

Good morning everyone... Sorry for no replies this morning... Having computer issues again. V was playing a game on it last night and now nothing is working, so I am running a scan. Sigh. If last time is any indication, this may take hours.

Michele... I hope you are OK! Please keep us updated as you can.

Everyone else, have a great day. :grouphug:

Computer issues suck! I just got a new lap top and I'm still trying to figure the darn thing out.

Hope you get it figured out and have a wonderful day!

Just saying Hi.

You lied. I can't keep up. Tell everyone to slow down.

Nothing much to contribute, just lurking a lot lately. Love all the puppy shots! So adorable!

Miss you and the girls! I still think you should come hang out with us in October (school schedule shmool shmedule).

Hi LIddy! Thanks for stopping by! How are you feeling? I hope you are doing oK.

I know - I think we are overdue for more puppy pictures... I am trying to be "not annoying" about them though - The Puppy's current momma is a CPA, so I am trying to let her get through tax season before I bombard her with puppy photo requests. :thumbsup2 But on April 16th... ::yes::

Miss you too! I wish we could. We will be there in October the following year though. :scratchin

Again - I hope you are doing OK...

The puppies are ADORABLE . I would have such a hard time picking one. I'd take them all.

Glad you had a nice trip and visit. We had a nice weekend. Took my dad to Jacob Javits Car Show in Manhattan this weekend. We had a great time and many laughs.

Hope you have a great day at Target, and enjoy the day!

I know - I seriously want little Daisy too... She is so adorable... Her and Cooper cuddle all of the time, it's going to be hard for me to seperate them.

Sounds like you had a really nice weekend too. :lovestruc It's always so nice to spend that time with family.

Thanks - it wasn't awful... It went really slow. But it's over until next week. ::yes::

Thanks

I hope you have a good day at Target

Thank you. How is your kitty doing today?

The puppy is adorable..too bad you cant bring all of them home with you. We have a boxer that we rescued, she is a big ole baby..but we love her.

I know - I would love to bring them all home with me... They are all so cute! Our Rufus was a rescue dog - and he was the best dog ever... So, I know how you feel. We miss him every single day.

Thanks for the explanation on the puppy names.

Any time - always happy to help. :thumbsup2 I know I was a bit confused at first too and I never caught on to the A, B, C, D part of it. LOL :scratchin

Just a quick hey. I'm in the hospital with stomach issues. Puppy pictures are just what the Dr ordered. Adam is such a cutie!

Michele, I hope you are doing OK... Are you home now? Sending out hugs and prayers!

Thanks Chiara! You look fabulous in your profile pic. You've lost some serious weight.

Chiara has been such a huge inspiration to me... We've kind of been on this journey together and it's so awesome to have such a great pal to cheer me on! ::yes::

Hmmmm... I am not certain if there is a belt on that one? I cannot remember. It's been so long since I've done any machine research on other machines. If there is a belt - it should be right there attached to the wheel. :thumbsup2 Yup - oil is a good thing. :) I can always tell when my machines need it, as they sound a bit different when they run.

I understand. :) I wish mine did too, but they serve their purpose and at least they are made out of real wood - that's such a hard thing to find these days. Sigh.

Puppies are ADORABLE~~~~ Almost makes me want another, but we have such our hands full with Mr. Rogue. Sigh We really need to get him help for behaviour. I know - I am so excited to get our puppy! I know - you've had such a hard time with Rogue, which baffles me... Our neighbor's Rodesians are pretty well behaved. Although - they've been known to find quite a bit of mischief. :scratchin

Computer issues suck! I just got a new lap top and I'm still trying to figure the darn thing out.

Hope you get it figured out and have a wonderful day!

I Know - Josh needs to rebuild ours... So, I need to spend some time saving files today. Sigh. I am so lucky that this is what he does for a living... but it still makes me nervous - my entire business is on here.

Thanks Ariana - you too!

***********************************************************************

I stayed busy yesterday, despite having computer issues.

I worked out right away in the morning... I added a few different lifts to my routine - there are a few spots on me that I'd like to work on before spring. :scratchin

Then I was in my sewing room all day appliqueing... I am really happy with how this applique is turning out. :thumbsup2

I picked up the girls from school - we went to Target... Must stop doing that. Darn Starbucks! It lures me in every time.

We had dinner and hung out all night. Josh took MM down to the wetland preserve again - he loves doing that. And it's good that they get out to get some excercise. ::yes::

Today... It's a heavy lifting day for me... Squats... I hate squats - but they are one of the best compound movements out there - so I continue to do them. I really dread them though - they are hard. The rest of my lifts today are fairly easy - so once I get through the squats, I am fine.

I'll be finishing up this applique and starting on bag assembly. This is a different bag than what I normally do - so I project it will take me a bit longer to put together. I am really hoping to be done today, but it's doubtful. We'll see.

Disney stuff...

I am starting to get really excited for the November trip... I should know with in the next few weeks if it's a for sure thing or not... I am really leaning towards yes though. ::yes::

I've also started planning some new/modified customs... Seeing as I need to have warmer clothes this time around... I need to plan out a sweatshirt or two, and some capris/jeans/leggings... So, I was stalking PInterest yesterday trying to come up with some ideas.

I have a skirt I made last year - it's a little big on me, but it was tight when I made it... And I think I could easily pull off a Goofy theme with it... V has the ears and I have the necklace from Erin... So, I think that would be one way to incorporate a "new to me" theme? I would just need to make myself a matching bag... You know how I am about that. :scratchin

I do plan on reusing my other themes, but like I said - I need to make all new outfits, because shorts and tank tops just won't do for this trip (and Alli's grad trip) - and since there isn't much time between the two trips, I won't have time to make anything new in between.

So, the themes I have that I can use are these...

Donald (of course)
Minnie
Tweedle Dee/Dum
Goofy
Toy story

Which I think leaves me with just enough customs for our park days...

Now, to winterize these...

Sweatshirts... I would love to only have 1 or 2 that I can easily adapt to each outfit... I do have an idea or two about this.

Capris... I am hoping to find some CHEAP denim ones that I can destruct and bling up. ::yes::

Then I will have my tank tops to wear under - but maybe I"ll need tees? November and January... What do you all think? Tees? Tanks?

I will likely be wearing my flip-flops... And I'll bring some coordinating Converse... And my Donald shoes (of course)

And for the first time in years, it's possible that I will be able to wear my Donald Duck Butt Hat. ::yes::

I would love to have something new for AK... I always struggle with what to wear in this park... Something leopard would be awesome!

And then, we have the whole Christmas thing too... I hate to do a whole outfit for Christmas, since I am certain it will be decades before we go back at that time of year again... So, any ideas there?

Anyways... Enough rambling for today...

Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

Hi D,

We were there last November and I wore Capris and T-shirts with a light jacket in the evening. My husband wore shorts. The last time we were there in November, I remember it being in the 50's but on our last day (of course) it hit 70. Hope that helps!! Have a great day!!

I think we will still be in shorts and tees. Well maybe capris and tees or tanks. During the day it will still be warm. But we will need a sweatshirt for evenings. Especially with the cool boat rides back to WL.
I love the Pixie Twist bling I got from Erin. But my outfits are generally plain colors. For the past three trips I have been in the summer and I can only do moisture wicking in that heat. Moisture wicking is hard to customize. So I'm excited to be able to wear "real clothes" this trip!

I have Mickey, Donald and Goofy for Pixie bling. I bought a bunch of new skirts from QVC a few weeks ago. Black, white, blue (Donald) and green (Goofy). And jeans or Jean capris for the rest of the time. So I just need to find a few tshirts and would love to get a good hoodie for cool nights. I love my Chicago hoodie, so I might just do that.

Would love to find some fun ears like yours. I've been looking on etsy and can't really find anything I like. Might make some.....but I know they generally hurt my head after an hour or so, so I might just stick with the Pixie bling and standing next to you :)

As far as a Christmas outfit.....I honestly just want a Mickey Santa hat!

I have a leopard Mickey shirt I made my first trip. My Mom and I had matching ones. She is tiny....so maybe you could borrow hers :)

This morning's brainstorming session... ::yes::

<------ Someone is a little excited to plan her outfits...

I'm crossing my fingers that you get to go on your November trip. :)

I've never been to Orlando in November but we have been there in January many times. In fact, the majority of our trips have been in the winter. It is the best time to get away from the cold weather, but it can be pretty cold in Orlando in January, too. The one thing that is a guarantee about January weather is that the nights will be cool or cold. We've been there when there was frost warnings (many times) and worn a warm jacket all day. Other times we have had a high in the 70's. You should count on it being too cold for tank tops in January unless you get a freak hot spell, which could happen. ;) So concentrate on tee shirts and sweatshirts and you'll be fine. You really need to watch the weather religiously for a January trip, then subtract five degrees from whatever the weatherman says is the high for the day because they always lie. :upsidedow

Love your outfits and I love that our minds think alike. I was picturing just about the same thing. Although, I really don't think we will need leggings during the day. Highs are around 80 and lows around 60. I'm thinking I will be wearing my Dory backpack a lot because I will start the day with a sweatshirt, but need to take it off soon.
I love that backpack and haven't been able to use it because summer is too hot for BPs :)

Love love love the idea of a hoodie with interchangeable bows!!! Me want one too :hyper:

One thing I always do during those iffy times is layers. I bring some neutral color long sleeve shirts that I can put under my t-shirts if needed and several zip up hoodies that I can take off and on as necessary. I just tie the hoodie around my waist when I'm not using it. When I was there the week after Thanksgiving last year, there were some pretty cool mornings and evenings were I was glad I had a sweatshirt. Granted, I am from GA so cold to me is probably boiling hot to you. :rotfl: As for spring time, I've been to Orlando twice in Jan, twice in Feb and once in March. Temperatures on all those trips varied from 20 degrees up to 80 degrees. That probably doesn't help much does it? :confused3

I can't wait to see what you come up with for your outfits. Everything you do is so cute! Especially toy story! We have a trip planned for 2017 with my very best friend since kindergarten and her family. We already know we're doing something on a shirt with "you've got a friend in me".

We haven't been in November for several years but when we went we took t shirts and shorts and a light jacket for when the sun went down. The weather was so perfect that time of year

I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm trying to remember if I have ever visited WDW in november- but i don't remember. We once went end of March had record lows followed by record highs. DH and I went for our anniversary 3 years ago. It was freezing. I was in a sundress with flip flops and my winter coat. The next 2 december trips, i made sure to pack extra sweatshirts and thin workout long sleeve tops. I'm probably alone in saying I love going to WDW in the summer, since it is so mucher easier to pack and plan what to wear each day. No layers in the morning that you have to carry around in the afternoon.

Then I was in my sewing room all day appliqueing... I am really happy with how this applique is turning out. :thumbsup2

D~

Can't wait to see it!:rolleyes1

so I might just stick with the Pixie bling and standing next to you :)

This made me laugh Suzi!

Your outfit plans are awesome! I can't wait to see what the seamstress comes up with for my tank tops. She said that she is almost finished cutting out and designing, and then will be sewing. She will show me one when she finishes it and then I will be surprised with the rest (part of me want to see each of them as she finishes, but I also want to be surprised! :confused3 )She may also bling out some head bands I had with each tank top...

The puppies are all so cute. It must be hard to take just one.
I've only been to Disney once in November and I remember having to wear a winter coat one of the days I was there. The other days I worn shorts and capris and took a sweatshirt in case I needed it. You never know what the weather will be like.
I'm sure you'll come up with some cute outfits. You're so creative.my daughter and I went to Target to but
Sorry you are having computer issue. Hopefully Josh can fix it.
I've been busy at work. We're getting ready for inventory. For some reason our store manager waits until less than a month out to start prepping thing. It makes it very stressful. Yesterday was my day off and my daughter and I went to Target to buy my nephew a birthday present. He was 3 on monday.
Have a great day.
Liz
