~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Great ideas for outfits. We have been in Oct, Dec & Jan & have wore just about every combination possible! Our last Oct trip was crazy hot - 90's almost all week. Dec had moments that were chilly & then warm (low to mid 80's in the afternoon). January was the craziest of all! We expected it to be fall weather to us (50's in the early morning & evenings) & then 70's during the day. I think we wore everything I packed, long sleeves & pants, sweatshirts, capris, tees, tanks shorts. My husband & oldest daughter even went swimming!!! As someone else mentioned I would go with layers. In any case, I can't wait to see the finished outfits!

Your outfits for your November trips sounds great.

I took my cat to the vet today as planned to see if it was is teeth or something else bothering him. He hasn't eaten on his own for several days now. When I left him at the vet I told them that if there were nothing wrong with his teeth then I would have to let him go over the rainbow bridge. I got a phone call one hour later with the message that it was nothing wrong with his teeth. I decided to go to the vet so I could be with my cat when he went over the rainbow bridge. It's really empty in the house without him now. What was wrong we'll never know. The vet said it could be cancer in the bowel or somewhere else. The vet couldn't feel anything out of the ordinary when she had a look at him. There is no way to find out without opening him up and I didn't want them to do that.

Disney stuff...

:cheer2: :cheer2:

I've also started planning some new/modified customs... Seeing as I need to have warmer clothes this time around... I need to plan out a sweatshirt or two, and some capris/jeans/leggings...

I am reading another report who went the same time we are going this year.. They were wearing WINTER JACKETS during the day.

I would just need to make myself a matching bag... You know how I am about that.

shocker... :scared1:

Capris... I am hoping to find some CHEAP denim ones that I can destruct and bling up

what about a marshalls?

Then I will have my tank tops to wear under - but maybe I"ll need tees? November and January... What do you all think? Tees? Tanks?

I will post that trip report soon where they were wearing COATS

I will likely be wearing my flip-flops...

another shocker :scared1:

And for the first time in years, it's possible that I will be able to wear my Donald Duck Butt Hat.

need a picture.

And then, we have the whole Christmas thing too...

can't wait to find out!!!

I think we will still be in shorts and tees. Well maybe capris and tees or tanks. During the day it will still be warm.

I do hope so... I have concerns..

I love my Chicago hoodie, so I might just do that.

YAY!!! GOOD SUZI!!!

Someone is a little excited to plan her outfits...

HA HA HA HA HA HA

let him go over the rainbow bridge.

Ohh I am so sorry!!!

So here is the link of the November 2014 where they wear COATS!!! Plus she is really a sweet person..

Hi D,

We were there last November and I wore Capris and T-shirts with a light jacket in the evening. My husband wore shorts. The last time we were there in November, I remember it being in the 50's but on our last day (of course) it hit 70. Hope that helps!! Have a great day!!

This is good to know... So, basically - I need to be prepared for everything? LOL

I think we will still be in shorts and tees. Well maybe capris and tees or tanks. During the day it will still be warm. But we will need a sweatshirt for evenings. Especially with the cool boat rides back to WL.
I love the Pixie Twist bling I got from Erin. But my outfits are generally plain colors. For the past three trips I have been in the summer and I can only do moisture wicking in that heat. Moisture wicking is hard to customize. So I'm excited to be able to wear "real clothes" this trip!

I have Mickey, Donald and Goofy for Pixie bling. I bought a bunch of new skirts from QVC a few weeks ago. Black, white, blue (Donald) and green (Goofy). And jeans or Jean capris for the rest of the time. So I just need to find a few tshirts and would love to get a good hoodie for cool nights. I love my Chicago hoodie, so I might just do that.

Would love to find some fun ears like yours. I've been looking on etsy and can't really find anything I like. Might make some.....but I know they generally hurt my head after an hour or so, so I might just stick with the Pixie bling and standing next to you

As far as a Christmas outfit.....I honestly just want a Mickey Santa hat!

I have a leopard Mickey shirt I made my first trip. My Mom and I had matching ones. She is tiny....so maybe you could borrow hers

I know - it's so weird trying to find clothes for a trip when it's colder out... LOL I don't know how I am going to pack? I usually have this teeny tiny space in my luggage for clothes and the rest is taken up by bags and accessories. ::yes:: This is going to be interesting. D~ will land wearing 3 layers of tops and bottoms and several jackets because they all won't fit in her luggage? :scratchin

I think we will compliment eachother nicely.

I know - I've had no luck replacing Jennifer... So sad! I'll PM you - I have some ideas.

Oooh - yes... I will also need a Santa Mickey hat! ::yes:: Eeeep!

I'll think about it... If I decide to do something leopard - I just don't know yet what my last outfit will be? Or if I will just reuse one of my other ones... I designed my Minnie outfit/bling to be interchangeable to Mickey - so I might do that too? NOt sure yet? Thanks for the offer though - I will keep it in mind. :)

I'm crossing my fingers that you get to go on your November trip.

I've never been to Orlando in November but we have been there in January many times. In fact, the majority of our trips have been in the winter. It is the best time to get away from the cold weather, but it can be pretty cold in Orlando in January, too. The one thing that is a guarantee about January weather is that the nights will be cool or cold. We've been there when there was frost warnings (many times) and worn a warm jacket all day. Other times we have had a high in the 70's. You should count on it being too cold for tank tops in January unless you get a freak hot spell, which could happen. So concentrate on tee shirts and sweatshirts and you'll be fine. You really need to watch the weather religiously for a January trip, then subtract five degrees from whatever the weatherman says is the high for the day because they always lie.

Me too! I am trying hard though!

This is really good to know... So I really need to have layers with me? This is going to be hard! I look forward to it being "chilly" in FL for once, but I am a little nervous about packing. I guess that's why I was thinking of doing a lot of leggings under skirts - that way, I can ditch the leggings if I need to? And I'll carry my bike shorts in my bag, so if it's too hot for the leggings, I can still wear shorts under my skirts (I am not the most lady-like skirt wearer... LOL). Then I can do tees/tanks (ever obsessive about the tan lines... :scratchin) with sweatshirts over the top? I think that will work well. Hopefully I won't need a hat or mittens?

Love your outfits and I love that our minds think alike. I was picturing just about the same thing. Although, I really don't think we will need leggings during the day. Highs are around 80 and lows around 60. I'm thinking I will be wearing my Dory backpack a lot because I will start the day with a sweatshirt, but need to take it off soon.
I love that backpack and haven't been able to use it because summer is too hot for BPs

Love love love the idea of a hoodie with interchangeable bows!!! Me want one too

Yay!!! :woohoo: I am sooo excited! We are going to be so CUTE!!! Do you think Bradey will coordinate with us? :scratchin I can just picture how adorable we are going to be!

Well, I was thinking I could wear the leggings (they'd be capri ones) out of the hotel with a sweatshirt in the morning... Then I would have bike shorts in my bag, so if I get too hot, I can just swap them... Neither of them will take up much room in my bag, but they'd keep me comfortable...

I am so excited that you finally get to use your Dory backpack... I totally understand that it's been too hot to wear it on other trips... I might just bring my Donald backpack too? ::yes:: Does this mean I need to incorporate a Dory day too??? I was thinking we needed Whale shirts?

I'd be happy to make a bunch of bows for you... I am not exactly the best bow maker in the world, but I know a few people - I might be able to commission someone for this project. :scratchin

One thing I always do during those iffy times is layers. I bring some neutral color long sleeve shirts that I can put under my t-shirts if needed and several zip up hoodies that I can take off and on as necessary. I just tie the hoodie around my waist when I'm not using it. When I was there the week after Thanksgiving last year, there were some pretty cool mornings and evenings were I was glad I had a sweatshirt. Granted, I am from GA so cold to me is probably boiling hot to you. : As for spring time, I've been to Orlando twice in Jan, twice in Feb and once in March. Temperatures on all those trips varied from 20 degrees up to 80 degrees. That probably doesn't help much does it?

This is a really great idea... I always forget that I could put a long sleeve shirt under a short sleeved one... I like that look, but I never do it. :confused3

I also plan to do the sweatshirt thing... Hopefully it won't be too necessary though, because I hate walking around with stuff tied to my waist... I'd rather sweat to death... LOL

True... I'll probably be running around in tanks and short... and everyone will just think "she's from MN" LOL

I"ll just go prepared... With lots of clothes... ::yes::

I can't wait to see what you come up with for your outfits. Everything you do is so cute! Especially toy story! We have a trip planned for 2017 with my very best friend since kindergarten and her family. We already know we're doing something on a shirt with "you've got a friend in me".

We haven't been in November for several years but when we went we took t shirts and shorts and a light jacket for when the sun went down. The weather was so perfect that time of year

I am excited about my TS outfit - I love working with that theme! I just hope I can some up with something that's mature enough for me to pull off. Sometimes, I feel like the outfits I want to wear are just too childish for me. But I just love the colors and fabrics in Toy Story, and I cannot wait to experiment!

Awww... Those shirts will be so cute!

I"ve been at the tail end of October - it's it's the same... Shorts and tees during the day, and sweashirts at night... Even capris were comfortable. I just need to pack a variety of stuff.

I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm trying to remember if I have ever visited WDW in november- but i don't remember. We once went end of March had record lows followed by record highs. DH and I went for our anniversary 3 years ago. It was freezing. I was in a sundress with flip flops and my winter coat. The next 2 december trips, i made sure to pack extra sweatshirts and thin workout long sleeve tops. I'm probably alone in saying I love going to WDW in the summer, since it is so mucher easier to pack and plan what to wear each day. No layers in the morning that you have to carry around in the afternoon.

Oh no! LOL That would be awful!

I agree - it is so much easier to pack for summer, and you really don't need that much. I am not too excited to have to carry around my stuff all day...

Can't wait to see it!

This made me laugh Suzi!

Your outfit plans are awesome! I can't wait to see what the seamstress comes up with for my tank tops. She said that she is almost finished cutting out and designing, and then will be sewing. She will show me one when she finishes it and then I will be surprised with the rest (part of me want to see each of them as she finishes, but I also want to be surprised! )She may also bling out some head bands I had with each tank top...

I am really excited about all of them... And whatever I make for our November trip will also have to be used for our January trip - because there really won't be enough time in between to add anything new.

I am excited to see what you are all getting... Especially the headbands - you know how I feel about my head gear. :lovestruc

The puppies are all so cute. It must be hard to take just one.
I've only been to Disney once in November and I remember having to wear a winter coat one of the days I was there. The other days I worn shorts and capris and took a sweatshirt in case I needed it. You never know what the weather will be like.
I'm sure you'll come up with some cute outfits. You're so creative.my daughter and I went to Target to but
Sorry you are having computer issue. Hopefully Josh can fix it.
I've been busy at work. We're getting ready for inventory. For some reason our store manager waits until less than a month out to start prepping thing. It makes it very stressful. Yesterday was my day off and my daughter and I went to Target to buy my nephew a birthday present. He was 3 on monday.
Have a great day.
Liz

Thanks - it is so hard to only pick one... I do want all of them. Trust me. LOL

Eeek... I think I will have to suffer with no winter coat... I refuse to bring one. Hehehe...

Josh is planning to work on our computer... It needs to be completely rebuilt. Thankfully all of our photos and such are on a seperate hard drive, so it will be relatively "easy" for him to do this... It will just take several days... So, I need to work ahead on my business stuff that I can't do from my tablet and stuff like that, because I could be out of commission here for several days/a week or more.

Awww.. Happy birthday to your nephew. :lovestruc

I hope you had a great day too Liz!

Yes... I am planning to do lots of layers... This should be fun. I will be the one swimming for sure. LOL Although, I probably won't have to bring as many suits as I bring in August. :scratchin I am really excited to put these outfits together though... I am going to start looking for pieces immediately. :woohoo: Sometimes it's so hard to find the right color of tees that I need - and I am super picky about the cut and how they fit too... Usually Target is the only place I like to buy them, and I am stuck with their colors... ::yes::

I am really looking forward to putting these outfits together though.

Your outfits for your November trips sounds great.

Oh no... I am so very, very sorry. But I am sure you made the right decision. It's never easy to do what's right for our pets, but they depend on us to do that. I wish I could do or say something to help. Many hugs to you my friend! :grouphug:

What!!! No way!!! OK - I will go read sometime today, thanks for posting.

I refuse to bring a winter coat though... I'll just wear Suzi if necessary. :scratchin

You are on call this weekend, my dear... I'll send you a PM. :lovestruc

Well seriously....if I just consider D my accessories....less to pack! Get up in the morning, throw on a pair of jeans and a tee, grab my D and out the door. Easy peasy.

Ha!

Hahahahaha!

Oh my gosh... You. crack. me. up. Seriously! I love you so much! Always happy to be your accessories! ::yes:: I hope I can live up to your expectations. :scratchin

*****************************************************************************************

Well, I lifted yesterday morning, like a good girl.

Then I worked all day in my sewing room... I had a little snafoo - nothing with my current custom order - but I had to work on another project for a little while. Sigh.

Went to town... Picked up V from school.

Came home.. Alli and Gus were here.

We all ate dinner. And had a nice relaxing night.

Allison and Gus took a few pictures - in the rain. LOL They are too funny.

He left and we all went to bed.

Today... I have to bring the girls to school this morning...

Allison is going out of town with a friend today... I am a little nervous about it - she has never been so far away from home with out me. Super nervous actually. Sigh. I am kind of a wreck. Breathe D~....

V is babysitting tonight...

So, Josh and I have the night off - I think we are going out for dinner? Something anyways...

I will be working in my sewing room most of today... I'd like to finish up my custom order, and then I have a side project I'd like to finish up - and maybe start on another. I am on a roll. ::yes::

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

I also plan to do the sweatshirt thing... Hopefully it won't be too necessary though, because I hate walking around with stuff tied to my waist... I'd rather sweat to death... LOL ...
Hopefully I won't need a hat or mittens?...
I think I will have to suffer with no winter coat... I refuse to bring one. Hehehe...

I think you'll be fine in November with sweatshirts and a light jacket. Just keeping watching the weather. But January is going to be colder. You'll have a great time, though, even if it is a little cold in Florida, because it will probably be at least 50 - 60 degrees warmer than Minnesota. :upsidedow We arrived one January day to gorgeous sunshine after leaving Chicago and six below temperatures. It felt great. :)

Allison is going out of town with a friend today... I am a little nervous about it - she has never been so far away from home with out me. Super nervous actually. Sigh. I am kind of a wreck. Breathe D~...
At least the weather should be good since the storms seem to be over. :flower:

Again, LOVE this...D~ as an accessory...does make packing simpler!

Love the idea of Whale shirts! And you two crack me up! Too funny!

I suspect you will find it to be mostly flip flop weather by your standards lol!

D~

It will be okay mom! But, you will probably not totally relax until she walks through the door when she gets home. Take it from me, it does get a little easier with time.

I am excited to see what you are all getting... Especially the headbands - you know how I feel about my head gear. :lovestruc
D~

I am excited to see what she comes up with too. I don't know that the headbands will be quite as fancy as yours! The funny thing is, I put the shirt with what I thought would be good fabric choices, and the coordinating headband in a gallon Ziploc bag which is what I brought to her. I had not expected her to make some (nor did I know she could even do that...but her comment was I am a dance mom...I can do headbands lol!) It will be a fun surprise!!

Oh no... I am so very, very sorry. But I am sure you made the right decision. It's never easy to do what's right for our pets, but they depend on us to do that. I wish I could do or say something to help. Many hugs to you my friend! :grouphug:
Thanks

Alli will do just fine on her own with her friend.
I hope you and Josh have ha nice evening.

I love how you plan your outfits for each day.

Alison will be fine. I know it is hard not to worry, but we do have to let them "go" on occasion.

I couldn't believe the snow picture you pasted on FB.

Have a great weekend.

I am sooo excited! We are going to be so CUTE!!! Do you think Bradey will coordinate with us? :scratchin I can just picture how adorable we are going to be!

Bradey will wear whatever. But he has tons of clothes....I'm not buying anything special! He loves his moisture wicking shirts. Wears them all the time at home :)

Dory day would be fun for Epcot! Hahaha.....whale speak....fun fun

We just got back from four days in MN, and it snowed today! Now, I love Caribou Coffee enough to make up for it (we don't have it in my area anymore!) however I am not really liking the whole "snow in April" thing.

I may be a Wisconsinite but Minnesota is a whole new ballgame!

We have been many times in Jan. Our last Jan. trip was 2013 and our first 5 days were in the 80's, which was a little unusual. We always rent a house as we go with my daughter's family, 3 grandkids who love swimming and the private pools are usually pretty warm. We had one day that dropped to the 60's and then the rest were 70's, which was wonderful to us and it didn't stop anyone from swimming. We also went for the first time in Nov. 2013 for our 40th anniversary. Most days were in the 80's and some were very humid too. We had only one day in the 60's and it was windy or that wouldn't have bothered us. We usually left a jacket or sweatshirt in the car but I don't think we ever used it. I would wear a light jacket or sweatshirt on the plane so you have it. We left MK one night around 7 as there was a MVMCP that night and it was 72° and we laughed when we saw so many people in sweatshirts and coats, but they were staying late. I don't have any pictures in the parks with even long sleeves from Nov. and we were there 2 weeks. Even the night we stayed for the party I have a picture of my car saying 75° at midnight. I decided Nov. is my favorite time to go and the parks aren't that busy. You will love it!

At least the weather should be good since the storms seem to be over.

I will definitely be watching the weather... I'll probably even bring a light pair of gloves. ::yes::

LOL - It better be that much warmer than MN, I am depending on it. LOL

Again, LOVE this...D~ as an accessory...does make packing simpler!

Yup... I will be flip-flop weather for sure. I wear my flips year round in the house here, and once the sidewalks are clear and it's above 30°, I wear them outside too. ::yes:: So, I am sure I will be fine in FL. I"ll also have my various Converse with me, as well.

I know - I am super nervous that she is on her own this weekend. But she is with people I trust, and having fun - so I just need to breathe.

Yup - very excited to see what your friend comes up with. :)

Thanks

Alli will do just fine on her own with her friend.
I hope you and Josh have ha nice evening.

 How are you doing today? You've been on my mind. I hope you are doing OK.

Thank you - we did have a nice evening. I ate way too much, but it was good.

I love how you plan your outfits for each day.

Alison will be fine. I know it is hard not to worry, but we do have to let them "go" on occasion.

I couldn't believe the snow picture you pasted on FB.

Have a great weekend.

I think I enjoy planning my outfits more than anything. ::yes:: And I also like that I reuse my items as much as I can.

I know - it's so hard. At least she is going somewhere where I know people... So she has someone I trust to call if anythign happens. I know - I am still way too much of a mother hen...

I know... And then it was gone in an hour. It was so bizarre.

Thanks Kathy - you too!

Bradey will wear whatever. But he has tons of clothes....I'm not buying anything special! He loves his moisture wicking shirts. Wears them all the time at home

Dory day would be fun for Epcot! Hahaha.....whale speak....fun fun

No worries about buying anything special for Bradey... I was just curious if he was planning to coordinate with us?

I know... I posted a really cute something on my Pinterest page... It's not Dory - but it does go with a theme that you've mentioned to me before. ::yes::

We just got back from four days in MN, and it snowed today! Now, I love Caribou Coffee enough to make up for it (we don't have it in my area anymore!) however I am not really liking the whole "snow in April" thing.

I know - that snow was crazy wasn't it. And then it was gone in a matter of an hour. So bizarre. I'll never forget the year we had 12" on May 5th, V was so mad because she was afraid she'd have snow on her birthday (May 8th), but it was gone by then. LOL I can tolerate snow this late in the year, because I know it's gone rather quickly. ::yes::

I hope you had a great trip to MN. :)

***********************************************************************************

I had a nice day yesterday...

I worked out in the morning right away... I've been doing extra weight lifting to get my shoulders/upper arms looking better for summer. So, that's been fun.

Then I was in my sewing room for most of the day... I did finish my custom order. So, that's always nice to have that pressure off for the weekend. I'll still probably work this weekend - but it will be on side projects and not on custom orders.

The view from my sewing room yesterday... Yah - we were dumped on - huge snowflakes too... but it was gone in about an hour.

20150410_150012.jpg

I did a little grocery shopping yesterday... Man - it's so expensive... Seriously... Wal-mart... some fruits and veggies (frozen and fresh)... It ended up being 4 bags... $70!!!!!!!! That's like half our grocery budget. It's so hard sometimes to eat well, because it's so expensive and there are never coupons for the things we eat anymore. Our society baffles me... It's like "they" encourage people to eat crap food because it's cheap. So sad. Gonna have to up the grocery budget soon, I think. :/

Allison left school early for her trip.... Her friend texted me this picture yesterday afternoon... I love that girl... Typical Alli though - just a bundle of fun! ::yes::

IMG_0481.jpg

When Allison is tired - there is NO way to deny it... Especially when she is still fighting Mono.

Victoria had to babysit last night - so she slept over. I need to text her soon to come home, because I'd like to run to Target optical this morning to see if any of the frames we found last week are available there? I found out I can stack all of my discounts on top of our insurance. :thumbsup2 So, that would be nice.

Josh and I went down to the casino for dinner... WHOA! We never go there, it's not too far from us - but we just never go. MN passed a law several years ago, no smoking in public places... Well, the Reservations/casinos have their own laws... My body went into shock - walking in there... It was FULL of smoke... Like, so bad that I didn't even want to breathe. It's one thing to walk through it outside - I can handle that, really I can... But when it's trapped indoors... That's really harsh. Thanfully, they don't allow smoking in the restaurant portion of the casino... We had a nice dinner - we did a buffet... It was prime rib night... YUMMY! ::yes:: I ate way too much - but it was delicious. And I was able to eat Primally... It's not often I can go to a buffet and not taste chemicals - I couldn't taste any here... So, I think we may visit the casino buffet a little more often? However, I did have a dessert... It was delicious and worth every bite.

After - we came home and relaxed... I cuddled with MM... It's gonna be hard once Cooper joins us... Eventually - I will have 2 80lb lap dogs, and I can barely fit one on there. LOL

And little Cooper last night... He's getting big. I hope he stays small for a while longer!

So, that's all for yesterday...

Today... I am going to shower and get ready shortly...

Head out to Target optical... and then do some shopping at Target too.

Then, I plan to come home and work for a little bit.

Try to stalk Alli on FB - if she posts anything about her trip... LOL And if not, I'll be texting her for photo updates. ::yes::

It's supposed to be nice and sunny here today, and 60° - so maybe I'll spend some time outside too?

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

Wait.....how did I miss a whole week?! Well, I'm all caught up again now. Look!!! Chiara is back :) Hi Chiara!!
I can't wait until you get this puppy. Can't wait to see him with MM!
I like both glasses.....but I think the brown are a little softer on your face. But either one will be great.
Hope you have a wonderful Easter tomorrow!

Yep I am back :) Even debating a PTR for November.

Thanks Chiara! You look fabulous in your profile pic. You've lost some serious weight.

I think that sounds about right. Is there a belt I should be checking on? :rolleyes1I am terrible at maintenance. I am lucky this machine has been in such great shape. I just dabble a bit of oil where the instruction manual tells me to regularly.

I just wish the cabinet was a bit more fitting for my home decor. Everything in my home is traditional/provincial and then there's this modern deco cabinet. It's a struggle. :charac2:

Thanks so much I am at 70lbs since I had Sami.

This morning's brainstorming session... ::yes::

<------ Someone is a little excited to plan her outfits...

I totally love this.

D I do Target Frames and Lenses for C can't beat the $25 lenses until she is 18.

I am some-what caught up again. So much for being better at DISing.

The layering of clothing is the smart way to go. Maybe you could rent a locker and put your sweatshirt/jacket/whatever in that, so you don't have to keep up with them. When we went in November a few years ago, we had shorts on all the time. It was early November for my birthday…around the 6th for a week. It did rain every single day and was overcast until the day we left. But temp-wise, it was great! We've never been in January, but went early February last year and I wore capris most of the week and shorts a few times. It was too cold to swim, but pretty mild. We did need jackets in the morning and evening. But living in MN and Oh, we take the cold a lot better than some who aren't used to really cold temps. I think you'll be just fine.

It won't be long before your new little bundle joins the family. He is so cute!! I just love puppy breath. Wait. Did I say that out loud?? lol Yep, I love the spell of puppy breath. Dog breath, not so much. What fun you guys are going to have and what an adjustment MM is going to have. Did I miss anything about the hedgehog? Haven't seen anything posted in a while. But then, I haven't been around either.

I'm on reserve battery, so gotta scoot. Will come back later to read more. Have a great day!

P.S. Our trip with Miles is in 4 days!!!! Can't believe it!

ETA: Lillian, I'm so sorry about your kitty! I know they are family. I said a prayer for you.

Oh you got hit with the snow. So did we, it was mainly gone by the time we got up. Yesterday it hit 70 here so there is not a trace left. I love going up to Mystic and was thankful the year they put the partition in to actually keep the smokers and non smokers separated but I can literally see it as soon as we hit the lobby. DH hates it:( Your so lucky to have a Target optical, we don't have any close by. They seem to have a better selection and quality than WalMart. I hope Alli has a blast! We have a ton of students leaving for Toronto and I can't imagine when the time comes for the kiddos to head away (without) me. I keep telling them I'm going to chaperone lol! Have a great day!

I am so excited to have you back on The Dis! I've missed you here so much! :lovestruc

:woohoo: You are such an inspiration to me!

Hehehe... Glad you are enjoying my customs thought process. ::yes::

That's a really good deal... Sadly - V and I went in to Target yesterday and they do not take our insurance. I've never really understood our eye insurance, Josh handles all of our insurance stuff... So, he finally printed off our benefits for me yesterday, and as it turns out, we have VERY good insurance, so all of our glasses combined will cost us very little. Basically, all we have to pay for is a little of our frames and $20 for each set of lenses for the coating for electronics (can't remember what that's called?)... So, hopefully this week, I can get the girls in there and get our glasses ordered. :thumbsup2

*************************************************************************************

We had a very nice day yesterday...

Victoria and I went in to town - to the Super Target to see if they take our eye insurance, which they don't. Bummer... But - while we were there, we looked at frames, and we didn't find any we liked anyways.

We stopped at BFF's house to visit her and Olivia for a little while...

Then we went to our local town for lunch - Chipotle... Yummy!

Pearle Vision is right next door, so we went in there - they do take our insurance, but all of their frames are about 20% more expensive for the exact same frames, so we will definitely be going to Lenscrafters for our glasses this year. As I said above to Chiara, Josh handles all of our insurance stuff - and he printed out our eye benefits - as it turns out we have very nice insurance... I am kind of kicking myself now that I haven't gotten new glasses for the last 2 years, literally - even though I don't wear mine (mostly because they don't match anything I wear) - I could have gotten much nicer neutral ones for very little cost... So, I wish I would have. Lesson learned, use our insurance - that's why we have it.

Then we came home... Took a nap... Josh made steaks on the grill for dinner... We were lazy all night long.

We got a text from Allison last night, at about 5pm... She was on her way home. Seriously? They were planning to stay in The Dells last night and play a little today, but at the last minute - the friend and her mom that Allison went with, decided to just come home. Allison was super disappointed. I stayed up (well, I slept on the couch) until she got home at 2:30 this morning... I was a little of a wreck because if it were me driving - I know I wouldn't have been able to stay awake during those hours... So, I was very relieved when she made it home safely... Now that she is home - I can tell you that she was in Chicago... Poor girl was a little disappointed (OK - a lot disappointed) that her visit to Chicago only included a train ride, a visit to The Bean, sitting on a bench outside Navy Pier, and a train ride back to their car. I think they were actually IN Chicago for less than 2 hours. I told her last night, we will have to take a trip out to see Mo, and she will do it right for us. My trip to Chicago last year was a blast, thanks to Mo - and I am kind of sad for Allison that she didn't get to experience some of that. But - all in all - she had a good road trip and created a bunch of fun memories with her friend, even though she didn't get to do and see everything she wanted to...

Today... I have to run to Hancock fabrics... The fabric I ordered for an upcoming custom order isn't quite the right color for what I needed... So, I need to find a closer match. I also want to stop at Trader Joes... I need a few things there. ::yes::

Otherwise - it will be a lazy day. :thumbsup2

I did get new Cooper pictures last night... Gosh darn it - he is soooo cute!!!! I cannot wait to bring him home!

 How are you doing today? You've been on my mind. I hope you are doing OK.

I'm ok :) Thanks for asking

Sounds like you had a good time and a nice meal at the Casino. Even if you had to pass through a room with a lot of smoke.
What a bummer that Alli's trip to Chicago was so short. I hope she gets to visit Chicago another time.

Cooper is so cute.

Poor Alison. She must have spent most of the weekend in the car. What a disappointment. :(
