Sea!!! Those ears look so cool!

A friend of ours wants to go see Alice in Wonderland on opening night at midnight.

I want to go... but IDK. I think I am too old for that crap. :rotfl:

We'll see! I think the movie looks awesome!

Hi Mayers! Sorry I haven't checked in much this week. I'm sure you all missed me dearly. :lmao: I'm on round 2 of antibiotics- this one is stronger and does not agree with my tummy AT ALL. I've had this darn sinus infection for 4 full weeks now. :headache: I've had sinus headaches daily so staring at a computer screen hurts. Today is the first day my head doesn't hurt too bad- thankfully.

RF- sorry to hear about your snow damage. This winter has been ridiculous. My DH had to climb up and shovel the roof because our gutters were clogged with ice and the melting snow was coming in our house from under the shingles. I refuse to watch the weather reports anymore because they use the dreaded four letter S word too much.

Shelly- Thanks for sharing pics! The boys look like they really enjoyed all those slides and the lazy pool. I like the bunk beds and theming in the hotel too!

Sea- Digging those threads in your DL pics- nice leisure suit.

:welcome: to new MAYers! Hope we aren't boring you to death.

Hope everyone is well! :goodvibes

Hey Kim

I have missed you! So glad yo hear that you are feeling better today. Hopefully you will continue to feel better every day. I was pretty sick yesterday, I've had something hanging on since last weekend, but I am feeling a little better today. This is the first day I could take a break from blowing my nose continuously.

Looking forward to updates in your TR! :goodvibes

I'm still here too... Olympics preoccupies me I guess. SORRY
My sister and I have been having a fun time emailing each other, as she stands on teh side of teh downhill course and I sit in front of my tv and I tell her who is coming next, or what place they come in, or if they crashed ect...

I know it sounds weird...but its a sister thing.

Lake - no need to apologize at all. I really enjoy to hear about your family's Olympic experience. I would love to see some of your sister's pictures. That is funny about how you keep your sister informed about the status of the live races. LOL!

Thanks Sea.

We grew up on a ski hill practically, so to us these winter games are not only exciting, but very grounding and reminiscent. I am a proud Canadian as well ( as you all very well know), so keeping in touch with her while she is there experiencing it all makes me feel closer to it, and a bit more a part of it. If I had had the money I would have wanted to be there to. Lets just say its BIG $$$$$$$ to be there. people who live in Whistler and Vancouver are very lucky.

I will definitely forward some of the pics to you soon. Once she is home, she'll upload all the good ones for me.

She has been keeping a little blog through the usage of her blackberry wheile there if you want to check it out.

Hi! I've been reading this thread for a while but not the previous threads because we don't usually go at this time! I'm very excited that the trip is coming up soon! We're not doing the table service meal plan this time- only the counter service, so I had no ADR's to plan! It seems like I should be doing something more...I've planned out which park which day, but that's it. We'll be adding in the water parks for the first time. The kids are very happy about that!:thumbsup2

Morning!!!

Some snow over night, and the school buses are not running.
Just trying to decided whether driving the kids into school is worth it or not...last time E 1 only had 6 kids in his class and E 2 had 5 in hers.. I had hopedto clean the house today...so off to school they will probably go. They will have more fun there anyways.

Hey. :surfweb:

How was everyone's weekend? popcorn::

Bob and I went on a date Saturday. :lovestruc We were supposed to go to dinner, then to Sing Sing (a dueling piano bar) and then to see 'Shutter Island'

But, we were feeling guilty about spending so much, so I made enchiladas at home. Then when we were driving thru 'The Waterfront' on our way to the bar, Bob spotted a HUGE sign that said "Disney Merchandise!!! 80% off!!!" and he turned in before I could say anything.

(He's finally a full blown convert! I love it!!!!)

So, we spent WAY too much time in this outlet and decided to skip Sing Sing, so we just went to Target to get some candy for the movie. (Shhhh, :cool2:)

Anyway - Shutter Island was awesome! It keeps you guessing the whole time. You never stop wondering what's going on. I loved it!

Lake - I really like your sister's blog. What a great way to keep up and experience what she is doing.

Thanks Sea.

Hi M2N - Are you going to both parks? That is something I wished we did. They look really awesome. We just had one ADR on our trip and we survived just fine. How many days are staying? What resort? - Sea

We had a bite of rain last night, but the sun was out and not a cloud in sky this morning. It was so bright out. LOL!

Hi RF - Glad you liked the movie and had a lot of fun. What did you get at the Disney Warehouse?

Hi RF - Glad you liked the movie and had a lot of fun. What did you get at the Disney Warehouse?

Hey Sea!

I got a throwback 50's looking Disneyland T-shirt. It's brown with the castle and an old school Mickey on it. It has pink and blue letters that say 'Disneyland ~ The Happiest Place on Earth' and a coin purse that was the same vintage-y colors. Bob got a coffee mug and a set of Huanted Mansion Mickey ears with the 3 Grim Grinning Ghosts.

We spent about $30. Not bad for all that Disney stuff! I'm sure it would have been more like $100 if we bought it all at the parks. :thumbsup2

We had a very busy weekend! I cannot believe all that we got done despite how tired and exhausted I am right now. Anyways, here is what our family did this weekend...

First off, my sons went to the Aero theater in Santa Monica and they were having a double feature of Bob Newhart's movies, Cold Turkey and Hot Millions. Bob spoke between the movies as did the producer, Norman Lear. Jeremy was fortunate enough to meet and get his picture taken with him and got to ask a question during the lecture.

He was so excited. LOL!

My wife and I went out for a late dinner at the Pasta Factory and had a celebrity/paparazzi free time. It was nice just to relax before our hectic weekend.

More to come...

So Saturday morning we woke up around 8 am and started in on moving the last boxes over from my MIL's house. Fortunately, we had put them into those big stackable plastic tubs so it was easy to move and store things. We spent about 2 hours going back from the house to our garage. Fortunately, we are only five blocks away so it wasn't horrible. We got most of it done and decided to do the rest on Sunday, since we had enough of this. We needed a break!

Got cleaned up and headed down to DLR! Chris met up with some friends from school at Denny's across the street from the park. And Lena, Jeremy and I went to The Gardenwalk, just two blocks away from the resort to have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Yum!!!

Jeremy had this chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce. He said it was the best he ever had.

My wife had a Santa Fe Chicken salad...she loves this!

I had the steak - this was their new lunch special. It was very tasty!

Of course, you don't ever pass up dessert here...Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake!
