Lunch Report!!!

Had a meeting in Century City and decided to go next door to Beverly Hills for lunch.

Headed over to Rodeo Drive to one my favorite places...

Philly Cheese Steak, Fries and a Coke - $9.22. LA Times - free! (Do you see Buzz and Woody?)

Thanks, everyone! Come to think of it, I was a MAYer and didn't even realize it. 2 of our 3 Disney trips have been in late May, the most recent in May 2006, after my DD's college graduation and DS's high school graduation.

Shelly-I thought it was a Holiday Inn Express because of the outside pics. The room looked really fun with the bunk beds and separate kids' area!

See -- you really are a MAYer!

The Holiday Inn is connected to Splash Lagoon too, and maybe even one more hotel. The place is massive!

Shelly----- Oh my word what a fun time you had!
Okay spill it-- tell us what the boys said when you finally told them.
What she didn't tell you guys is that it was a surprise and her littlest one guessed they were going to Mexico or Texas.

We never told them. We just put them in the car and away we went!! We were nearly there and I told them to take their heads out of their Nintendo DS's and look for their surprise!

As soon as they saw the waterslides coming out of the building they were very excited! DS10 said - I remember this place (even though I am pretty sure he didn't). That was one of the clues we gave them - that DS10 had been there before, when he was 3. And that DS8 hadn't been there, we left him with my mom because he was only 1! And we told them that it was going to be warm and they would need shorts! They were sure stumped! They were guessing WDW and FL, and yes, even Texas & Mexico!

Ok...I will Tivo it and see if I can spot them.

My sister is attending the ladies luge finals this afternoon.
She says they have top row seats in the grand stand, somewhere in the middle.

She and her husband, my nephew who is 6, and has a red and black ski jacket and my niece 8, who has a pink and grey one... keep your eyes open.

We have spotted them once so far.

Awesome RF - I hope everything goes smoothly booking your ADRs.

Nope. Never been to Splash Lagoon. It's near Erie right? The only waterpark (besides Sandcastle) that I have been to nearby is the Kalahari in Sandusky. It's super fun there! We went almost exactly a year ago.

I need to post my trip plans for WDW soon! I need a vacation like you can't believe.

We have already decided where to make ADR's and for which days (unless TGM's LCPC's come out and I am WAY off base) I can call about a month from now for them, so I want to be ready! I don't know if I am going to call or go online yet. I seem to have a hard time accessing my ressie online - so I don't know if I trust making my ADR's on the site or not.

Yay! I remembered to get back on tonight to check out Shelly's pictures!! They were super cute! It looks like you guys had fun!

I'm sitting on hold with Disney. I came across some extra cash and the WDW gift cards were double fuel perks this week, so I stock piled. I am TRYING to make a payment.

So, while I am on hold - I'll go grab my list of ADR's and let you guys know what our tentative plans are.

We aren't sure yet if we are going to fly down Fri after work and then get a room offsite for the night and then head to MK for the 1st full day or if we are going to just fly down Sat morning and hit MK at night.... Still not sure.

OK. So, I know this sounds like a TON of food. But, we are going to have a lot of people with us and part of the reason that my uncle loves Disney is the food. So, we figure better safe than sorry with the ADR's. I doubt that Bob and I will go to all of them. And we don't even have enough credits to go to all of them. But, this is what we have so far!

Yes! I remember you too from the OctoNovemebeCember's thread. We last went at Thanksgiving in '08. We have either gone at Mardi Gras or Thanksgiving since we have had kids. I used to go in May with my parents as a kid. We leave on my 40th birthday- May 28. It's also the day my kids get out of school and is my last day of work too! (teacher) We are planning to stay at the Poly! Very excited to get a great pin code. I am a little nervous about the heat, but after this winter, I am looking forward to going when it won't be cold!
