At least my Wednesday is about 3 hours closer to being over than yours. :goodvibes

I'm getting a little nervous about the weather. Rumor has it we could be seeing up to 3 feet of snow between Friday and Saturday!

We got a few inches last night. This was my view out of my front window this morning.

This time last week I was wearing shorts. I miss Disney.

Good luck with tomorrow's appointment! And by golly yes I am interested in a PA MAYer meet! Depending on which part of PA I may just be a hop skip and a jump away! :woohoo:

We went to the doctor this morning. He's not released to go back to work until the 22nd. 2 1/2 more weeks. :faint: That's a lot of together time! :rotfl:

So where would you be interested in having a PA MAYer meet??? :yay:

Hello Mayers ... it's Wednesday! (In case you didn't know) - Sea :cool1:

Happy Wednesday Sea!

I'm getting a little nervous about the weather. Rumor has it we could be seeing up to 3 feet of snow between Friday and Saturday!

:scared1: Yikes! 3 feet!

Hey MAYers. Just popping in to say hello really quick!

I am doing our taxes today! I am soooooo ready to start spending this money it's unreal! :rotfl2:

But, it seems like the returns for the 1st time buyers are taking up to 4 months!!!!!!! :scared1: I REALLY hope that they are exaggerating that. :sad2:

Happy Wednesday Sea!!!

Wiarton Willie ( yep the Canadian version of Phil) must have been right, because we got snow last night too. But most of it is alreday gone. My kids would love 3 feet.

Enjoy your together time Shelly. Glad DH is doing ok.

HI Heather... getting the jump on your taxes, good for you. I hope we'll get a good return this year as well.

Oh my! That is a lot of time together. That's like 3 more weeks!! I would be so ready for him to be back at work!

:rotfl:

Thank heavens you've started working. How is that going?

Hi to all the MAYers!!!

We had freezing fog here this morning. It was so bad, thick fog, icing the Arkansas River bridge, that the bridge was shut down. I don't ever remember that happening before.

Kim, 3 feet of snow. Stock up on the groceries. It might be awhile before you dig out.

RF - Good luck on your taxes.

Lake - Any news on the Olympic front today?

Sea - What'd you have for lunch?

NC - I got salad today at the grocery store for lunch. Nothing really exciting. I had a huge breakfast today at Marie Callenders (http://www.mcpies.com/. Two eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and tea - $4.99. I still feel full from breakfast!

Shelly - Wow, more time off. You should have planned a second honeymoon or something and gone somewhere with all this time off. LOL!

RF - I hope you get your refund soon.

Kim - 3 feet of snow - WOW! We are expecting rain starting tonight through Sunday.

Back to work...sort of...:cool1:

NC- Olympic fever is running.
8 days till the opening ceremonies... :cool1:

Our flag bearer has been announced, and I'm very happy about the choice.
Clara Hughes, who first competed in cycling, and won several olympic medals, then started speed skating in her off season for training, and took up that sport as well, and is now a winter olympian and earning medals in a second sport. She is amazing!

Lake - This is very exciting indeed. Programming my DVR so I don't miss anything good. - Sea

Keeping an eye on the weather today! One news station say 16-24 inches and another says up to 36 inches and the other one won't commit to any numbers just yet and they just keep repeating the word *significant*. Who knows! I'm heading out to the store tonight just in case and Jason is going to get some gas for the generator. We live in the woods and have a tendency to lose power. I don't mind the snow. It's the losing power that worries me.

RF- Hope you get a big fat refund from Uncle Sam and enjoy spending it up! We're going to work on ours this weekend. A good chunk will go to pay for the Disney trip we just took. :rolleyes1

Lake - How fun to be right there in the middle of the Olympics! :woohoo:

Shelly- 2 more weeks with DH at home! :scared1: Now I know why you went got yourself a little PT job.

I am thousands of miles from where the Olympics are happening, but all of Canada is excited and celebrating no matter where we are in the country. My sister and her husband and kids will bethere though. I'm living vicariously through her.

Lunch Report!!! (I know you all have been expecting this...especially Jo).

Today I decided to go to the Daily Grill! http://www.dailygrill.com This one is about 6 blocks from my office in the Yahoo! Center as in Yahoo.com.

Usually I go here with my wife and the family for dinner because they have really good steaks and excellent desserts, but I hadn't been here for lunch in about a year, so it was time to go back. It was pretty busy, all the yahoos from Yahoo! were here too, fiddling with their Blackberrys and iPhones. So I got out my Blackberry...and Nintendo DS! MARIO TIME!!!

Ok, so here I am playing my DS and sipping my iced tea wondering what I should get. I didn't want a salad or fish or a steak, so I settled on a sandwich. Ordered the beef dip sandwich it came with fries, but I ask my waitress Cambria if could get the garlic mashed potatoes. She said yes! WTG Cambria! It took kind of long to get my food, almost 20 minutes (glad I had my DS), but look at what I got:

(Insert hallelujah chorus here)

I am garlic mashed fiend - I was in heaven. They gave me so much potatoes I should have made a Matterhorn mountain out of it! Yum yum yum. The sourdough bread was delicious and the meat very tasty. Everything was steaming hot, the way I like it. I was so full after consuming all of this, I was starting to get sleepy.

Here's the breakdown. Sandwich, 10.95, Iced Tea, 2.95 with Tax it came to $15.26. Not bad at all for all that food! I had a great meal from the yahoos at Daily Grill today. LOLOL!!!

It's FRIDAY Mayers!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

And it is raining here in SoCal. We are expecting about 1-3 inches of rain and in the local mountains up to 3 feet of snow! WOW!

Wassup in Mayerland today?

Hi Sea--- wow-- lots of rain you guys are having. Please keeep it to yourself, 'kthx.:)

Not much happening here- I was going to go out shopping but cleaned instead. My checkbook is happy.

:rotfl2:

Whatcha doin for the weekend?

Jo

This weekend, hopefully selling Jeremy's old car or giving it charity. Every time I get someone interested, they never show up. This will be the last chance. Working on my MIL estate stuff too. So much to organize and settle still. On Sunday we are celebrating my sister's birthday - yea Super Bowl Sunday - what were they thinking? Don't know if we are going down to DL this weekend with the rain and all - not like that has stopped us before - just playing it by ear. I heard that they put up some Valentines decorations up.

Afternoon MAYers!

Hope all is well in MAYerland today! Not much going on here. Not sure what's up for the weekend yet. Probably not much. DH and I have gone out to lunch nearly every day this week. Him being home is really hurting my budget in more than one way! :rotfl: But hey, we had like 10 years of hardly any dates to make up for!! :lmao: So between the low budget and the fact that we are to get a bunch of snow tonight and tomorrow we will probably just be laying low this weekend. We will probably go to the neighbor's superbowl party for a little bit Sunday.

Anymore plans for a MAYer Meet this summer??? What do you think Sea? We will plan around you if you come, since you will be traveling clear across the country and all! :rotfl:

I'm in planning mode, but have nothing to plan. . . Three more months until I can make my ADR's. :sad2:

Kim -- are you getting a bunch of snow? I hope you didn't lose power. They are saying we may get some of your storm, but only 5-8 inches here. Not 3 feet!
