Its only a little corn snake, its really pretty though as its like leopard print but in reds, yellows and black. I must admit it freaks me out. She has had it for about 2 1/2 years and I have still yet to hold it. And I kind of get jumpy about sleeping in the house whilst its there, I'm scared it will escape .

O.K., not to freak you out anymore because I'm pretty sure that my sons snake is bigger than Sophie's corn snake, but one night in the middle of the night, we heard a noise. The noise was the lid of the snakes cage! He popped it off and ESCAPED!!!! He could've been anywhere. Thankfully we found him on the shelf directly above his cage. His cage is in Travis' room, so he literally could've been anywhere. Whew!! Didn't want that thing creeping around the house or getting stuck in one of my walls.

I couldn't sleep if I had a snake in the house!! I'm scared to death of them!! The most exotic pet we have is our miniature dachshunds.

Mum had to find the insurance documents from the kitchen, which is where the snakes tank is, and as she shone the torch on the side where the tank is the door was open and the snake gone. The door to the tank just slides open and shut so she must have brushed past it whilst getting the documents. So they now had no lights and a lost snake, in the kitchen with lots of pipes and things. They searched and searched for over an hour and thought they had no hope, then eventually pulled out the fridge and he was wrapped around one of the pipes behind. They then spent an hour coaxing him out with food. If they hadn't have found him I don't think I ever would have gone home again

I was scared too for a long time. I fought and fought to keep the snake out of my house, but my son REALLY wanted one and saved his money for a LONG time and bought it himself. I got used to it. I figured out the difference between his snake and other snakes. Buddy moves a lot slower than the snakes in the wild. Garter snakes move A LOT faster. I feed the snake live mice, that's probably the hardest thing for me. I just dump and leave.

Its actually a boy, thats why its so funny that my sister calls it Shakira Shakira. Sophie is not impressed by the name and always gets in a strop when Kate says it, sometimes its like having 2 infants in the house with my sisters

So, we had a lot of goings on here at my house this weekend. Friday morning, after work, I went to get my hairs colored. I usually get highlights but because my regrowth was so long I told my girl to just do an all over color. Blonde! So, o.k., sure no problem. We put the color on, process and rinse. Ummm... Strawberry Blonde? No, I don't want red. So, we try it again with a different color. Color on, process and rinse. More strawberry blonde. Like REALLY strawberry blonde. Like almost pink. O.K., don't panic she says let's dry it and see. It looks different when it's wet. K, so I dry and, yep still strawberry blonde. My DH very important Christmas party was Fri night, so it was very important for me to have non-trashy hair. Okay, so we try another color, process and rinse. Now, after we rinse I hear from my girl, "What the hell?" So, she calls another girl over and then I start to laugh, because what else can I do? I say "what's wrong?" "um... you have gray hair. Like blue hair"
"So, I'm a blue hair?" I'm giggling at this point and my girl says it's not funny. What else am I supposed to do. It's color and can be fixed. Just have to find the right color. Well, 3 hours later I come out looking butter blonde with light/plaitnum highlights. Whew!!

Okay, so we go to the party and have a good time. But, during my visit with the miracle worker, hairdresser, my DH calls to tell me that he blew a tire on the kids car. CRAP! So, Saturday morning we drive to the other side of town and take the front two tires off the car. We call around and find a used tire shop about a mile away from where the car is. Now we have good sides of town and bad sides. Just like any big city. We are not in the good side of town, but the tires are affordable and they are in good shape. My DH notices that "the place" has posted no credit cards accepted, therefore it's obvious that no checks are accepted either. Cash only! So, he leaves me there to get the cash. The tire guy asks if he's been back yet, I say not to worry he's not going to leave me there. (At least I think not ) We ask tire guy if he has a new rim for the tire that's still o.k. and we'll make that the spare. No, not right now, but "I buy stuff from people around here all the time, so I'll call you when I get one." Okay, good enough. So, DH and I get into the car and I say, "why do I feel like I just left a chopshop?" DH, "because you just did" DH says "I feel like I need a shower"
We got two tires, put on the rims, and balanced for $45! I'm not going to complain about that. They even still have the little pokey rubber things on the outside of the tire. Yay ME!!!!
Boy child had his third game of the high school season on Sat night and they won. The officiating was HORRIBLE and I hate that. Just be fair.

Disney news is that I'm able to make my dining ressies on Friday. So, I need to sit down with DH and look at some menus and decide which ones. I know CP for a breakfast. I'm getting worried that I won't be able to afford to go. The economy is just terrible and affecting everyone. I'm hoping to get a job and that will help! Here's hoping!!! I'm still going forward with the plans because I'm hopeful

My step-brothers, step-brother has lots of snakes and knows all about them. My step-brother was the one who got Sophie the snake and looked after it until it was trained enough, not that I know how you train a snake .

I am SO far behind in my emails. I've been working everyday from 6-2:30, and I'm tired!!
I can't make my ADR's until Friday. So, tomorrow I'm HOPING to get a look at the menu's and go from there.
