That's how my sister's kids are. BUT! They have summer school, just for fun! And it's FREE and she sends her kids. I think it's like three weeks. So, they're out of school for two weeks, and then in summer school for three. Then back to school the second week in Aug.

Trip planning going well right now. Yes it's still a surprise so that's awesome! I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks to start arranging for the time off. That will be hard to keep a secret because more people will know...hopefully they all keep quiet!
No both are at home. Corbin will start school in the fall and Carter has no hopes of getting into pre-k either....he's already far more advanced than the "other" kids. Many children in our community are ESL (English as a second language) because we have a lot of migrant (is that the "right" politically correct word?) people here so chances of my kids getting into anything like that are slim to none.

We have migrant farm workers here too. They usually start coming in in the spring. So, the migrants have priority in pre-k over those who speak English??? Hmmm... I think I'll just keep my comments to myself. Happy to hear that the secret is still on!!
The long weekend was just o.k. We were busy doing just the normal things. Laundry, dishes, toting the kids here and there. We did go to a church picnic yesterday for a couple of hours, that's about it. Did you guys do anything special?

Just kinda thinking about next year. DH and I attended a vacation club party and recieved a weeks free accomodations. One of the places that we can use our free week is in Orlando. We, for obvious reasons, wouldn't join because if we were to join a vacation club it would be Disney's vacation club!! It's just a thought. I still need to look up the places that are available and see if it's someplace I would even want to stay.

My sister, who is NOT a Disney freak, corrected me! SO embarassing! I knew it was french, but still did not pronounce it right. So, my faithful and wonderful friends on this thread, I have made the adult decision to cancel my Disney vacation this year.I have too many things that I need to pay for and it just doesn't make any logical sense to TRY and make things work. DH was still wanting to try and do it because of the kids. The economy is even hurting my DH business and times are not as plentiful as they were a couple of years ago. I'm going to remake my ticker for next year, though!!! My oldest DD will be graduating and that would make a great graduation trip. Maybe I'll plan on staying in a Deluxe Resort, I'll have plenty of time to start saving. I plan on doing a smaller vacation this summer. Gotta take the kids somewhere.
Thank you for following along, and you can bet that I'll start another PTR in the fall. I will DEFINATELY be following along on all of your adventures this summer. I've got to keep the dream alive!!!

DH has an o.k. time at DL. He said it's NO WDW. He said the castle was half the size of the one in MK. He did say he liked the smaller size of it all, but would've rather have been at WDW. It made him REALLY want to go back, so that's a plus for me!!!
Anyway, was thinking that maybe we could stay in that condo for a week and that would save us some serious money. HOWEVER! I don't really want to stay off property! But, it might make all the difference of whether we are able to go. Who knows???

So, I've been pronouncing LeCellier like LeCellar!
I had my sister call and make her own ADRs, but made the mistake of not giving her alternate dates. She got to her third or fourth day and then had to make some changes. She survived and I just rearranged the park days a little bit.

Personally I love staying off site just for the extra room with the boys. Your kids are older so I could see how a "regular" hotel room could be better on site for you guys. When you're looking into it, let me know if you need referrals to places. Angie and Sandy have timeshares and have stayed off site so I can ask them or help you research places if you need help! I say go - heck come with us on our trip!
