There are no sharks at WDW, so let's go!!!

That's great that you're able to work so much! That Disney money's just piling up! :thumbsup2

Good luck with the ADRs...they way they've been changing menus it might be different by the time you actually get there! Pick places that look fun just in case the menus change on you and you can't get anything else. (I'm full of useless information today!) :rolleyes1

Go get some rest!!!

Yeah, right. Unfortunately DH didn't get that extra check from Santa this year so my work money has been going toward Christmas. I'm sure ready for the economy to figure itself out. I'm HOPEFULLY getting a job with a school system. Not sure when though. If not, I have a connection with someone in HR at a hospital. I'm definately thinking I'm gonna need to work. :sad1: I REALLY want to go to Disney next year.
I hope you had a good day!

YIKES! What a crazy time with your hair!! I'm glad it worked out in the end! It looks great!!

I hopw all goes well with getting a job and your still able to go on your trip!!

OH my gosh!!! I'm so excited you're here! I feel like you are one of the popluar DIS people, so I'm honored that you're going to read my PTR. Well, at least try anyway. I have so many questions about how to post and answer questions. I'll get to that tomorrow, but tonight I'll answer your question.
DH and I went to Hawaii last summer with my parents and my DGrm. We left the kids with DSIL and were very excited to spend almost two weeks in paradise. On the third day we were there, DH went out snorkeling by himself, while I went with the rest of the crew to swim down the beach. We were on a military installation and a couple of MP's came riding down the beach on 4 wheelers telling everyone to get out of the water because of a shark sighting. (I've been to that beach many times between 1984-1987 because my DF was stationed over there. NEVER a shark) So, we get out and I tell my dad that we better go find Harvey because he's out in the water and won't hear the yelling. Then, the ambulance drives by and I just start crying. I didn't know ANYTHING, just had a feeling. So, we get down to where he had gone out and there was a crowd gathered round and looking down on the beach. I start to go over to the crowd when an MP stops me and said that I need to stay back. I tell him that my husband was out snorkeling and that I need to make sure he's o.k. "what's your husbands name?" "Harvey Miller", "Mam, your husband was bitten by a shark." OH MY GOSH!!! "he's o.k. and cracking jokes, but it's pretty bad."
SO, by the time I got to him he was all bandaged up and getting put on the stretcher. He was taken by ambulance to the other side of the island, while I followed behind in the MP's vehicle. I had my swimsuit on, my DH t-shirt and someone else's flip flops.
Well, DH had seen some fish scatter and thought that he had spooked them. NOPE!! It was an 8-10 ft Tiger Shark. It grabbed Harvey by the left calf and pushed him up out of the water enough so that Harv could punch him a couple of times and then the shark let go and swam away. Harvey started screaming and a man on shore heard him and swam out and pulled Harv into safety. That man saved my DH life.
It was the vacation from HELL to say the least. He spent the next 5 days in the hospital and I had to push him in a wheelchair all around Waikiki and give him shots in his stomach so he wouldn't get a blood clot, and fill prescriptions, and take him to the doctor before we left the island.
You can read all about him if you just google his name. Harvey Miller shark. He was on the Early Show and we were on Good Morning America. It was all so surreal and we still can't believe it EVER happened. I'm very blessed to still have him here.

omg:faint:

:scared1: :scared1: OMG im so sorry to hear your husband got bitten by a shark, and it wasn't exactly the holida you hoped for but so glad to hear he is ok.
I'd love to go to Hawaii one day *when my lotto numbers come up* but if my DBF see's this he will never go as he is so scared (but obsessed) with sharks

Oh my word with the snakes!!! Chad is terrified of them! If Hollie ever wanted one......:rotfl2:

I know, right??? Welcome to my so called PTR!!! I'm glad you're here. I'm really trying to keep it going. I was able to start my countdown calendar yesterday, so that's exciting. I'm "planning" on making my ADR's tomorrow. Six months until we leave and I don't have a single ticket.

Thank you for your nice compliments. I like the hair too. I'm just glad I'm not a blue hair! :rotfl:

I'm sure that everything will work out in the end. It always does. I'm just going to keep planning like we're going. I have to, right? :confused3
Hopefully ADR's tomorrow or Monday.

Thank You. We are glad he's o.k. too. You have to go to Hawaii. Tell your DBF that you can't live in fear. Just think of it this way. He has a 1 in 11 million chance in getting bit/attacked by a shark. You "know" me so you guys are pretty much o.k. Right???? ;)

Hey, you tell Ray to buck up sissy boy! :rotfl: :rotfl: JK. I still don't "like" snakes, but I tolerate my son's snake because he's domesticated. Well as domestic as a snake can get. Abby took it to show and tell in 1st grade and it pee'd. One little boy was puking in the trash because it smelled bad? I said, "oh it's not that bad". I'm SOOO mean! :rotfl2:

Oh my gosh!! I busted out laughing so hard just picturing that kid throwing up over pee!!!!!:rotfl2:

Heya:wave2:. That is so funny about the snake. I was pretty shocked when Sophie's snake pee'd on Mum for the first time, I really didn't expect that at all. I mean I didn't think they pee'd like that, I don't really know what I thought they did but not that :rotfl:

Did you have any luck make ADR's today?

Hi! Just catching up! The hair drama sounds crazy. Pink and blue are not quite the colors you were going for, huh? I think I would have had a meltdown especially with an important party to go to. Good for you for laughing through it and glad it all worked out!

I saw some talk of a snake incident but I'm so afraid of snakes I can't even read it! :scared1:

:rotfl: Okay, don't read the snake part. It's o.k. I TOTALLY understand.
Yeah, pink and blue, not a good combo for the firm Christmas party!!! I think I would've shocked some of the hoities and toities quite a bit!!!:rotfl:

It was funny!!:rotfl: :rotfl: I'm glad you laughed.

I was amazed at the snake pee myself! Gross!!!
I plan on making them VERY soon. I keep saying that and then other things get in the way. I did flip some days on my countdown calendar today, so that was exciting. My youngest couldn't believe how many days we still have left. What she doesn't realize is that it will go quickly!

Ah bless her. Its tough when your a kid, time seems to stand still for things like this. But she will look back in a few months and the time will have just whipped by. I should really make a countdown calender, I love yours and it would be nice to keep a check on how many days we have left :thumbsup2

As far as I know they are still not taking ADR's past March yet. The word is it will be mid January and this is apparently when they will release the May hours too (the ones that should have come out the beginning of November :guilty:).

What kind of snake does your son have?

Okay, please don't laugh when I say this! I was having a moment....but I did not even think about snakes pee'ing!!:rotfl2:

Okay, so I won't be in any hurry to make my ADR's then. We aren't going until June.
You should make a countdown calendar. I would love to see it!
DS snake is a Ball Python. He just shed his skin. He sheds all the time. What about Sophie's snake?

Wow I'm sorry I've missed "How the Snake Sheads" :rotfl2:

Sorry....not a snake fan - as you may already know. Today Corbin and his friend from across the street let a lizard into the house. Of course the darned thing ran right into the spare room where I was. All I heard Dan say is "why is there a..." and Corbin screamed "quick catch it" and before I knew it Dan was in there with Corbin's jacket trying to catch it! :rotfl: I stood up on the bed screaming (trying not to wake Carter up from his nap of course!) until Dan took it back outside. Corbin came in and apologized and hugged me and said "it'll never find it's way back since Daddy walked it to the woods". :grouphug: He's a good kid but we don't have woods in our yard so I know he's crazy! :lmao:

Oh well, thankfully that was about my only excitement for the day!! I spent about 2 and a half hours tonight at the station with the firefighter boys wrapping gifts for the families our auxiliary adopted. We're delivering them tomorrow night so it had to be done tonight. They were very creative in their wrapping techniques! :lmao:

Alright...time for bed. Carrie brought Starbucks to the "wrapping party" tonight so I'm just not ready for bed yet...guess I'll have to force myself!
