Fourthly, that is all the more reason for him not to know. Fifthly, civilians never need to know who any of us are. That is dangerous. Even if they have no evil intent, one word in public where they could be heard, to another person, or in writing or online or in a text message and everything can be blown, and there are people out there who want all of us dead. You told him our address on the phone, am I correct? More likely than not, Hydra was listening to that phone call, and now they know exactly where we are right now. They could be on their way for all we know. You revealed your name but that's all even a four year old needs to figure it out, let alone this Jeff guy or a Hydra agent. New group of students knows each other, gets into a battle, leaves abruptly and then you tell him that we're at Stark Tower and when he gets here and some idiot lets him in, you tell him your identity. Suddenly everything falls into place, he knows exactly who everyone is now, and he can use that information to get us all killed, and will more likely than not. I don't like lying either, but you can never trust anyone in this day and age, it's not like in my time. In my time, people were good. But here, everyone's out to make money, you can't trust anybody, they're a bunch of turncoats, I've seen people betray friends, family, even lovers for glory, fame and most of all money. You trust him? You met him, what two months ago, at best? Do you even know his full name? His family? His birthday? His friends? Where he was born? Other people he's dated? People or groups he's had affiliations with? His past? His reputation? His criminal record? He could be a mass murderer, he could be a Hydra agent sent to get in on the inside. This is exactly the kind of thing that happened with Jack, except it happened to you and not June, and Raven's not almost dead - oh wait, she is, she threw herself off the tower while you and whastshisagenda played tag with your tongues.
