I took this pic from the wdwinfo web site. Has anyone stayed in the rooms on the end that I marked in yellow? Are these courtyard view rooms? Any of them king beds?

Hi there,

The rooms at the very top one will be the Presidential Suite and next to it is one standard room. These are both on the club level 7th floor.

The rooms below will be a mix of deluxe suites and standard rooms.

Regarding king beds, not sure. There should be a mix of queen, king and bunk beds in all sections.

Hope this helps.

Anyone have a current list of "food" items. in CL. I've seen some much earlier in these posts but they're old and only list a few days.

Thanks, just trying to plan our noshing!

Hi there,

Actually, there is no set menu for offerings at this time. I thought they were working on creating one but we will have to see.

The offerings are up to the chef and what he feels like making.

It can range from pulled pork, sausage and peppers, chicken and rice, buffalo chili, etc.

The only thing was when we were there in January, the entire five night stay included all pork entrees. :confused3 Must have had a sale. ;)

They also include soups like minestrone, beef vegetable, etc.

Did I quench your hunger? :lmao:

thanks for all the responses about my pic with the yellow markings!! It helped!!!

Yeah!!! Went ahead and bit the bullet and booked 5 nights for WL CL!! This will be our third trip on the CL....sooo excited!

I really need your guys help were going on our 1st visit and staying on a standard woods view.I really would like to stay were we can walk out our room and see the lobby,or the one that looks out towards magic kingdom. What would you ask for a room request if you had the woods view?

Okay I have decided we want a lobby room is that possable with woods view?
also how do you make request?
Do all rooms have balconies?
Im thinking about requesting a lobby room otter pond.

Does anyone know if a gallon of milk will fit in the refrigerator in the WL rooms?

Thanks!

If you feel safe laying it down then you can squeeze a gallon in the fridge. We are big milk drinkers and when we went in December we were able to get three half gallons to fit on the door. A little more expensive but I have thing about laying open liquid on its side.

Just what I needed to know. Thanks! :wizard:

We will be staying in the VWL for the 1st time in Feb 2010 and I am already thinking about transportation. Has anyone rode the boat to Contemporary and took the monorail to Ticket & trans. center, then to EPCOT? If the wait for the bus in 45min, it would seem monorail could be faster. What do you think?????:dance3::yay:

If your timing is right and you get to the dock as the CR boat pulls up you may be about the same. However, if you see the tail end of the boat heading out, go grab the bus.

Even though it may seem quicker doing the boat/mono/mono transit, you are taking 3 modes of transportation. Waiting on each one, loading, unloading. There's a lot to that over hoping on the bus and going. It's way more fun than the bus ride, but not quicker.

Coming to you live from WL! I love this place!!!! We have a great room right off the lobby (have always wanted one of these!!) So I made a panorama quicktime VR I thought I would post. Im not sure if it will work :rotfl: but i made it on some downtime here in the room to get an idea of where the room is. When it loads just drag your mouse over the picture to move it.

What is the best way to get from the WL to the AKL, and how long can I plan on it taking? We will be doing dinner at Boma during our July trip, and then we are going over to the AK for EMH.

The quickest way using Disney Transportation is to take the bus from WL to MK. Then take the bus from MK to AKL. I would give myself at least and hour to do this...maybe a little more to be safe.

Taking a taxi is the quickest if you are pressed for time.

Actually the best way to get to AKL is to take the bus to the AK and then get on the bus to AKL, that would be your quickest way, if you take the bus from WL to MK the bus will stop at GF, and possibly another resort before it even heads to MK.(This is the route that the MK bus took this past December 08 when we stayed at WL)

I changed my ressie yet again--- figured out the extra $$ to try the poly was our food/spending money--- so I am back to the WL, which I love... best food options for ds too (who is a very picky eater)
the cheapest choices was WV bunk bed- It is ds and myself--- the bunk bed is no big deal.
I read that the bunk bed rooms are dark?er than regular rooms... due to a missing light fixture?
where are they placed- near the wall closest to the bathroom?

Courtyard views are available but then the chance of seeing the fireworks from the room doesn't exist (and I know it isn't guaranteed with a WV room)

Should I just stay put with the bunk bed room or change to the courtyard?
thanks Jill

I would go with inner courtyard view room, you can't see the fireworks but you can see the electrical water pageant.
