We just got back from our first stay at the wonderful Wilderness Lodge!! Wow, everyone was SO right, the pictures just dont prepare you for the amazing lobby when you walk through those doors! We all were just in awe! It was so beautiful! We loved the pool and the kids loved the slide so much. Mousekeeping was fantastic with towel animals three different times. It was quiet and homey. We just loved it there, I cant imagine staying anywhere else!!
When we arrived, I was a bit stressed. My 4 year old had fallen in the airport prior to getting on the flight and my husband had to take him to the ER for stitches. They could only get two of us on a later flight so I went ahead with the baby and rest of the family. I was so worried about him and explained to the CM at the front desk that they wouldnt be coming until early in the morning and what had happened. She was so kind. She looked at our room assignments, made a little face and then upgraded us to courtyard view and connecting rooms!!! It was so wonderful! It was quiet and we saw little animals outside our patio every morning. We were close to the bus transport, pool and eating area. Anyway, we were so touched the CM had done that!
Transportation was ok. We loved having the boat to the MK. The buses in the morning was especially wonderful! It seemed to take a long time to get to Epcot, about a half hour, but the others were quick. Buses back to the parks after afternoon breaks seemed to be the longest waits. I felt like the buses we had last time at POFQ were more effecient overall. But overall things were pretty good.
I cant imagine staying anywhere else, it was great!!!
Love the beach area at this resort....last time it was during TS Fay, so we really couldnt enjoy the pool/beach too much
But love the boat transportation to MK, magical
