Beckie,

Thank you so much for the clarity. I think our morning will go more smoothly now.

No worries. I didn't take your post as criticism:duck: . I just wanted to make sure you knew that I wasn't being lazy :goodvibes . Maybe the clarification about EMH and boat/bus hours should be put on the first page, so that the intricate planners (such as myself  ) can be certain of this minute detail. If not, well at least I now know for our trip.

Thanks again.

I have never done a trip report before, but I think I may try with this one. Stay tuned!:hyper:

I did add the additional information on the first page right after I posted the information for you.

I'm working on some new information about the activities for the children and adults while staying at the Wilderness Lodge and The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge. It may take me several days to get all the information posted but I'll let everyone know when I have added it to the first page. This is thanks to Dizneykid/Jeanne and a resent visit she and DH took to the Lodge.

Thanks Jeanne

Two questions if anyone can help. We will be staying in a deluxe room, and I know the rooms at the end of both the two hallways both would have views of the Electrical water parade, but would those with inner courtyard views also have a view of the parade? I'm tempted to try to request the inner courtyard view because these seem to have easier access to club level. And 2nd, do you think it would take much longer to take a boat to the CR then the monorail to Epcot? The kids would love a ride on the monorail, but I don't want to waste too much time. Would we have to transfer at the TTC?

You could take a bus to the ttc then the monorail to Epcot, it would probably be faster than the boat because you have to take the little boat that goes around bay lake, not the bigger one that goes right to MK.
You could of course take the boat to MK, and get on the monorail there to the ttc to transfer to the Epcot monorail, but a bus to the TTC would probably be fastest, depends on how the timing works out right then.

Hey everyone! I think I might have asked this question here before but I'm unable to find it. Sorry in advance. I was just wondering what the cheapest room option would be for a family of 5, all children over age 2. Thanks! :)

The problem is that there is no bus direct to the TTC from WL during regular park hours. It is my understanding that the bus to the TTC only runs after the parks are closed. (Someone correct me if I am wrong. We never saw a bus that went to the TTC while we were there a few weeks ago)

I thought there was a bus to the resorts from the ttc, but it's been 3 years since I've been. Are there only buses to the parks, water parks, and downtown disney then?

I have never seen buses go to the TTC, where do you go to get on one? I don't know that we will need to, but since a similar question was asked, I'd like some more info.

Years ago all the resort buses went to TTC but it has been many, many years, before the bus stops were built at the current location at the Magic Kingdom.

Until about 3 years ago the Wilderness Lodge/Ft Wilderness Campground where the only Resorts that still had a bus that went to TTC.

This changed when they started the direct bus to the Magic Kingdom from Wilderness Lodge, guest staying at Ft. Wilderness Campground can catch the bus from Settlement Depot then transfer to the MK bus at Wilderness Lodge giving both resorts access to the Magic Kingdom without using the boats.

The reason the Lodge has the boat and the direct bus when other resorts only have one route for transportation, is due to the water levels on Bay Lake and the possibility that a guest with special needs may not be able to board the boat due while in their wheelchair or ECV's. The bus gives all guest a means of transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom.

After Magic Kingdom closes the direct bus then travels to the TTC as it did for many years. Giving guest access to the monorail resorts.

As far as the deluxe rooms half way down the South Wing having a clear view of the EWP :confused3 I don't think you would be able to see all the boats at one time, because the wing itself would block the first sections of the boats. I do agree that these rooms would have the easiest access to the 7th floor.

As far as traveling to the Contemporary via Blue Flag Resort Boat to catch the resort monorail around to TTC then transferring to the EPCOT Monorail yes I think that it would take too much time in the morning if you are trying to get to the parks with children. If you want to do this I would do it on the way back to Wilderness Lodge after your visit to EPCOT when you won't feel that need to rush.

This may sound wierd. Are the deluxe rooms regular rooms with conscierge access or what? What makes a room Deluxe? Thanks.

But where at the TTC do the buses go? I have never seen a bus stop at the TTC.

I agree that taking the Monorail when leaving Epcot is the better thing to do.

The TTC is where all the buses from off property, Schools, Buses to the other parks and water parks even City buses all travel to this one area. The TTC this was the original HUB for all transportation at WDW. The bus area is gigantic and buses are arriving and departing all day and most of the night.

Are you just thinking the Monorail Stations...The bus area would be to the right of the Monorail Station if you were facing the station.

The Ticket and Transportation Center is where you could purchase ticket, catch the monorail, bus or boat to the Magic kingdom and all other areas of WDW. It was and still is much more then the Monorail Stations.

Lou-Ann
No the Deluxe Rooms aren't regular rooms with concierge access.

They do have Club Level access but they are larger rooms that sleep 6 guest with 2 Queen Size Beds in the bedroom and a pull out sofa couch in the living room area. I have posted loads of information about these rooms on page 1 in my 1st and 2nd post, the information there and a room-layout will aid you in the different rooms.

I know what the TTC is, I have been there. We have driven to the TTC and used the monorail and ferry. I just didn't know where the buses went.
