Jumping in to say hello. Our family will be staying in a WL deluxe room this coming September. We are big AKL fans...so this is a venture outside of our known comfort zone, but I have heard really good things about WL and want to give it a try.

If anyone has any personal feedback on what the club level is like at WL I would love to hear it!

Thank you all for putting together this very informative thread. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

...don't worry - you'll be FINE.....:thumbsup2

If you look at the Villas room lay-out you can see where each STUDIO is located. I usually just request near elevator as there are a few studios at the far end of the Lodge with not so great views. I would also requested a dedicated studio this type unit wouldn't connect to a 1-Bedroom, so no connecting door.

okay... I know this has been asked but I am too lazy to find it. Hee hee...

When I stayed at the WL 2 years ago, they shared their busses with Fort Wilderness. Do they still do that? Do they share the busses coming back at night from epcot or DHS (hate that big rush of people after Fantasmic/Illusions).

Also, on the MK boat coming back from the MK after Wishes is it a problem to get a seat on the boat?

I am so undecided about what resort I want to stay at and have it narrowed down between the WL woods view and CBR preferred location.

For the bus schedules and routes please see page 1 of this thread.

While the Lodge does share buses (The Magic Kingdom bus is a direct route and doesn't share) the Lodge is the first stop when returning to the resort from the Parks.

Any time you are at any of the Parks at closing no matter which resort you stay at there is always a good possibility that you will have to wait for several buses or boats. The possibilities of standing is also a good probability unless you see that you will be standing and you let other guest go ahead of you when you reach the front of the line so you will be first for the next boat/bus.

When returning from the Magic Kingdom after WISHES remember that you may also catch the direct bus back to the Lodge, from Bus Stop # 1 at the MK.

Hey everyone
Wanted to make sure I was subscribed to this thread. We are going back to WL this October. Our last 2 trips were at the Poly, but before that we stayed twice at WL and loved it! I'm sure some stuff has changed since 2003 though. We always took the boat to MK back then, but how is the bus service?

There have been changes like the Red Flag Boat now is for the Lodge only to the Magic Kingdom they no longer share with Ft. Wilderness Campground. The direct bus is faster but remember you still have to wait for it to come just like the boats.

Please read Page 1 on this new thread for the most updated changes and new activities available at the Lodge.

Wow sounds as fast as the monorail. Thanks for the info, I'm going back to read through the thread.

We are staying in a 2BR villa this summer. We requested a dedicated 2BR and a niice view. Any suggestions to specifics? How are the weird zig zag rooms ending in "19". You know the corner ones near the artium.

I haven't actually stayed in the 2-Bedroom Villas "19" but I have stayed in the Villa ending "28" right across the Atrium. I also asked one of the Mousekeepers if I could look in while they were cleaning "19" it was very simular to "28."

Both as these Villas are wonderful with more square footage then the other 2-Bedrooms, these Villas have a seperate dining room area with a large table for 6 instead of the smaller table for 4 in the other Villas. My request was dedicated 2-Bedroom near the elevators.

Hope you have a great trip.

Are there many connecting rooms at the WL? I really dislike being in a room connected with strangers and would like to avoid this if possible. Should I add this to our room request or is this not an issue at WL?

Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried to do a search but it didn't work.

Yes, there are connecting rooms and I would definitely have it noted on your ressie since the door makes you feel uncomfortable.

Subscribing, and just wondering what would be the quickest way to get to either the Poly or GF resorts from the WL?

It's probably quickest to take the bus to the MK, then hop on the monorail.

You could also take the boat to the MK or Contemporary and get on the monorail, but that would probably take a bit longer.

OH, I just had a flash back to my first trip to DL, I know WDW like the back of my hand but standing in Disneyland was like being in a foreign country.

The one thing you will love about the Magic Kingdom and the other WDW Parks is how wide the walkways are.

Beckie

Having subscribed and posted on many of the earlier WL FAQs I was glad to find this one this morning. I am trying to read all 34 pages of it but had to chuckle when I read this. I told my DH the last time we were in DL that every time I am there I feel as if someone has "moved the furniture around" and not told me they were going to do it. :rotfl2:
