We are staying at the WL next month!! I am sooo excited, I have only dined there & that was about 10 years ago. I have a question...Does anyone have a picture of the bedrails? ----Thanks

I'm really confused...when I click on the link to read about Alicenwondrn's dream...I get a thread about makeup...?? :confused3 What am I missing...I would love to read about her dream! :)

heelllpppp anyone.....lol

Esmerelda
You were at the right place just go down a few post, Kelly's report starts on Post 483 on that thread.

Meister
I know I saw a photo a few days ago with the Bed Rails but I have looked and can't find it Sorry :confused3 Hope someone else can help. The one I saw was the type that slide under the mattress and have the mesh in the center, with a padded frame.

Wow Magicinmyheart...thanks for clearing that up...! I would have never found that if not for your help! :)

Kelly...what a great dream you won! That is very very cool! I'm so happy for you.

:)

Ok WL vets....havent been around since last summer...lol...but love reading:)

Anyway, I finally have VWL booked in Sept:) Just one night (Sunday)...am trying to talk myself into staying at WL the Fri and Sat nights:)

(Abt $200 more than I would pay at POFQ)...I did get a good AAA rate for WL...I think...

So, after I usually silently chuckle at all those threads titled "Help me..choose for me...what should I do " threads...here I am...lol

IS $200 worth the convenience of changing resorts..within the same one? Among all the other WL amenities etc....esp the balcony :)

I have 2 questions for you WL experts here :worship:

1- I have been looking for a good location to request for our woods view. One that would allow us to see Wishes, and I have seen posts that refer to the "north tower". Is that the same as the north wing?

2- Can you see anything from the "beach" at night? (fireworks or such)

Thanks!

1.) On page 1 post # 2 I have information posted about the the room locations and views that are available. For a possible view of WISHES you may want to request one of the following locations.

Wood View rooms located off the Lobby: (Northside)
The woods view rooms located off the Lobby above the Whispering Canyon Café. (North side of the Lodge) Floors 4, 5 and 6 have landscaping outside below the balconies, you may also see sections on the employee parking lot. These rooms face toward the Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom giving you the possibility of seeing the fireworks from your balcony. Rooms would be # 4081-4090, 5081-5090 and 6081-6090.

Wood View rooms overlooking the Otter Pond: (Northside)
The last group of rooms that are Woods View rooms are located on the North side of the Lodge beyond the mid-way elevators. They are on floors 1-6 they face toward the Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom giving you the possibility of seeing the fireworks from your balcony on the higher floors. They also overlook the Otter Pond where the local wildlife visits through out the day. (Otters, ducks, rabbits armadillos and deer) Rooms would be even # from 1004-1034, 2004-2034, 3004-3034, 4004-4034, 5004-5034 and 6004-6034. The rooms located on the 6th floor # 6004-6034 have the enclosed dormer balconies so guest have to stand to enjoy the views.

If you use this information along with link to the map Wilderness Lodge Room #'s and Locations, you should be able to make a more informed request, remember request are just that, no room request are guarantied. I am only posting the room #’s as a guide to the room layout map. The map does have a few errors but for general locations it is good. (Thank you Ronald Duck)

Please DO NOT request specific room #’s this will handicap the room assigner by limiting your request to one room. If the room you requested is already occupied they wouldn’t know where you might want to be located or why you requested this room.

Just click on the link below:

Wilderness Lodge Room #'s and Locations

The only resort I have ever read or heard referred to as a TOWER room would be over at the Contemporary Resort not the Lodge so North Wing would be correct.

2.) Some guest have posted saying that they were able to see some of the tops of the higher fireworks from the beach and dock areas, but the Lodge would block most of the fireworks. From the beach at night the most eventful thing you can do is view The Electrical Water Pageant it is nightly at 9:35p.m. on Bay Lake.

DisneyBride

I just love easy questions.....YES.

Last December I booked Saturday night at the Lodge then moved over Sunday morning to the Villas.

I just went downstairs and check-in over at the Villas around 7:00am, after breakfast and getting our luggage ready I called and the Villa was ready so we just transfered our own luggage to the new location. If the Villa hadn't been ready we were going to leave the luggage with Bell Services.

TYVM for your help. I wasn't sure of a general area to request and the reference to a "north tower" confused me a bit. Now I have an idea of where I'd like to request.

I really hope there's a good AP rate for October again. Then I can phase out Pop and do our whole trip at WL!

Thanks Magicinmy heart:)

Well, the AAA rate was gone for standard view for my dates...so for just myself on this trip, not sure I want to pay much more, but will get to VWL first thing Sunday morning:)

Couldnt pass up the $119 rate at POFQ...but those who know me well...Sept is along time away...may change to WL after all if a code or other discount comes out! lol

Laura
I can't believe he drank the whole thing...I'll be sure to ask for a LARGE drink next time @ WCC.
