The deluxe rooms are 500 sq ft. It would be smaller than 2 rooms. That sq ft would be 680 sq ft as each room is 340 sq ft.
I don't have any pictures. There's a layout on the first page of this thread.

There is self parking with no charge and valet parking available.

We were at the lodge the week of Aug. 23rd. The movies were on the beach with lounge chairs lined up. Sorry, no campfire or snacks! Actually, we were the snacks! Eaten alive by mosquitos! I still have welts. Even with bug spray and towels we will never do the movie again!

Yikes! We did BC movie on the beach in April 2008 for many of the nights we were there and loved it! There weren't too many mosquitos at that time but we really liked the campfire - it sort of completed the atmosphere. I can't believe they don't have a campfire at WILDERNESS LODGE

I think that's because they DO have one over at Ft Wilderness....they have a campfire singalong, complete with Chip, Dale & Smores!

I think that's because they DO have one over at Ft Wilderness....they have a campfire singalong, complete with Chip, Dale & Smores!

That sounds like a lot of fun! How long does it take to get over to Ft. Wilderness? Do they have a movie with that campfire singalong too?

We went over on our way back from a park, and friends who were staying over there gave us a lift back to the lodge, but It doesn't take long to use Disney transport to get over there...you can take the boat, walk, or sometimes take a bus...we shared with FW sometimes when going to Epcot.

There was no movie, but a fun campfire Singalong with Chip & Dale.

ETA: They may have a movie over there now...we did this 2 years ago.

Thanks for the info! We did the movie at the beach at BC in 2008 and loved it. It's funny how each resort has its own pros and cons. I wish I could tell Disney all the PROS and don't do all the CONs and to build a new resort with all of it

1. Are the in room coffee makers full size (10-12 cup) or the miniature 4 cup size?
2. Are there hair dryers in the rooms?

DH and I are considering WL for 2010. We have never stayed anywhere other than Pop and CSR. Would WL still be worth it if we only went with a standard room?

At the other deluxe resorts I've stayed at, they are the smaller 4 cup coffee makers. Not sure if WL is different.

The deluxe resorts do have hair dryers but beware! I asked before I went and someone posted a photo of a 1875 watt hair dryer and when I got there, it was the puny travel one. LUCKILY, mine died the first day and when I asked housekeeping for a new one, they gave me one of the NEW 1875 watt hairdryers. My suggestion is to immediately check the hairdryer in your room and if it is the small one, see if housekeeping can switch it!

I have not stayed at WL but I've stayed at value, moderate, and deluxe resorts and my two cents is this - skip the value and stay at a moderate. And it is totally worth it to get the 'standard' (aka cheapest) room at a deluxe for the unique benefits!!
