Thant is Awesome way to go David :cheer2: now you can maybe go to food and wine :rolleyes1

Oh I wish, we were.....

We will be participating in the "Stayin in the will tour" during that time. Got to keep the family happy! Also, hoping to run into a few DIS friends on the way, hint hint....

I just found that out, as I was eating a chocolate chip cookie. :thumbsup2

Brandi- that's great!

Have a meeting tonight so it's dinner there.

Manage to get my new end table downstairs last night, all by myself. Man that thing was heavy. And I managed to put it where I wanted it to be. :woohoo: I have a daybed in the family room that I use as a couch and because the space was tight I had to stand on the bed, pick it up and put it over the side of the bed. And I did it without breaking anything including myself. :rotfl:

I am so glad you did not break yourself!!!!!

Alison ~ Maybe the next application will be the one.
How is Fran feeling? I was so sorry to hear you had to cancel your vacation again.

I hope so...I've had some good potential tenants come through, but none have submitted applications.

Fran is doing better, they put something on her called skin substitute yesterday. The best part is the dressing only needs to be changed once a week so we are not going into the office three times a week for 3-4 hours each time. :thumbsup2

I have 1.45 hrs to 2 hrs each way! ! commuter bus, 2 subway trains, and a bus to get to the office and return the same way!

I wish I was a mile from work!

Yikes! That's a long commute! I guess that's when you get a lot DISing done...does your phone lose it's battery?

Good Morning everyone...

Well David got the job he interviewed for, so our life should return to normal around June 1st....

Thank you all for the support, the prayers and the venting, and I feel very blessed that he was able to get a new job so quickly and that we have a great circle of friends that include you all.

Thanks again...

Happy to help! :goodvibes

Good for you! Always a bonus not to break yourself!

We're having Japanese/Thai tonight. We're going over the menu picking out what we want to eat.

Wednesday and dinner tonight was mum's cooking. Rice, curry and stir fry.

Brandi - Glad to see that David got a job. Here's to a peaceful couple of weeks until June!

I could not manage that! My DS had that kind if commute when he first came back to CT. My DSIL joined him for about a year and that made it easier but it still was horrible!

Kimmar ~ I do KWIM!! But even a redone kitchen would be great right now. We have an old farm house and we are trying to redo each room. The kitchen will be the last on the list.

It was last on mine as well. DH wanted to renovate and I kept putting him off until he finally ignored me, got the architect in and got going. We have work that needs to be done after some water damage and I am just cringing.

These are so easy - and OH so good. You just have to try them.

Lemon Bars

1 box Angel Food cake
1 can lemon pie filling

Empty pie filling in a bowl. Fold in dry cake mix. Pour in a 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, everyone! Haven't been around much lately. I'm dealing with my annual "start of summer cold". I've been miserable! I'm trying to get over it quickly, since dad is having his second heart surgery next week, and I want to be there with him.

How is your Dad feeling?

Just take it easy if you are fighting a cold.

I am glad that things are getting better as far as Fran's health is concerned. Both of you have had too much to deal with.

Good luck on getting a tenant! Donny had tried to rent his condo but no luck. It is on the market now and he is getting a lot of interest. Keep your fingers crossed please, he has to go to the table with a hefty check but he doesn't want two mortgages anymore.

Dinner last night was a green salad and rotisserie chicken. It was late when we ate, I had a terrible headache, so this was plenty!

Yes, I get the Red battery symbol a lot!

I must confess that the only part of this that is manageable is that I am commuting with David, now when this changes, I have no idea how I will feel.

Good Luck to Danny on getting his Condo rented.

I hope your head is feeling better!!!

Alison ~ I am so glad Fran is feeling better.

I just got a text from Matthew - He has an interview at 11:30 tomorrow morning for the position that he had applied for. Please, please keep him in your prayers. This would be such a great thing. And it is exactly what he wants and it is right where he wants to be. Thanks so much!!

Kind of a quiet day here today. Thank Goodness! Now that all activities are finished for the summer things will really slow down. Now I can get the things done that I have put off.

Both of the boys are sick - Doug too. We don't know if it is a cold, sinus or just allergies. Elizabeth is taking Liam to the Dr. today though as he is really congested. Babies just can't blow their noses like us big kids. Poor baby can't even drink his bottle, his nose is so full.

WFDT ~Quiche and a wedge salad.

Make it a great day!!

....WFDT? Well, I had some leftovers from yesterday [ chopped steaks'n'onions and latkas ] for my DH and I went to a local Polish place nearby and got the Polska sampler (4 pierogies, sauerkraut, 2 stuffed cabbages, and 2 big pieces of kielbasa) and the roast chicken dinner, with a heaping amount of mashed potatoes, and cooked cabbage. OMG - dee-lish!

...okay.....soooooo.....I got home after school and brought in the mail - there was a hand-written envelope from Dylan's H. S.....oh boy, that usually means he got 'written up' by one of his teachers...:worried: . Long story short, he will be receiving an award (?) on Tuesday evening at the Senior Awards Ceremony :banana::banana: and the school wants to know if we'll be attending...

Good for him! Sounds like you raised him in your spitting image tho... :confused3

WFD? I don't know and it's 5PM, I better get working on it!

WFDT? I'm making tacos for dinner.

Life's been crazy at work but rather calm at home. We're starting to get cold here so everyone tends to hibernate indoors. Hope you are all well.

Oh I am so sorry. That ride can be a killer.

Fingers crossed and prayers on the way for Mathew!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that the boys feel better soon. Welby and Brian had some cold-like thing that lasted quite a long time. Dr said it had to run it's course. I hope the Dr can give Liam something to break it up, poor baby.

I love tacos! The kids made a taco bar on Sunday for Mother's day and I had more than my fair share!

I have to confess that your opposite seasons tickle me! Happy Hibernating!

Ladies, I am weak :guilty: I have been trying to get back to my diet and planning very simple meals but we have been eating out a lot lately. And I have been enjoying baked stuffed fish, homemade potato chips, donuts, bagels and cream cheese, Chinese and pizza. So last night ,after another donut lapse, we had pan seared chicken tenders, asparagus and a big salad. DH and I were running errands and I was hoping he would pull into a local brewhouse so I could get the beer battered fish and chips. Then my slip would be his fault ;) but he would not suggest it and I was too stubborn to let him know I was willing to cave again. :upsidedow I had to go to bed before 9 PM because I would have finished off teh chocolate I have stashed :dance3:

Not here today, it's windy and chilly! :cold: I wish this weather would make up it's blessed mind! :headache:

Nancy- I'm with you, I have fallen off the wagon and can't catch up to it. Once I get through this week things should get a little easier.

Fingers crossed and prayers on the way for Mathew!!!!!!!!!!

The Doctor thinks it might be allergies. They live on the outskirts of town with a field right next to them. So there is alot of dust and ragweed in the backyard. I think he is too young but they gave him some infant Claritan and he does seem to be feeling better. So there ya go - What do I know. :rotfl2:

Don't feel to bad for falling off the wagon. Just pick yourself up and keep trying. As long as you don't completely give up you are doing just fine. Tomorrow is always another day - just keep trucking!!

PIO ~ Stay warm!!

Thanks for all of the good thoughts. I/we really appreciate them.

Matthew called after the interview and he thinks it went really well. There is only one other person (a woman) who interviewed for the position. It was posted only internally. The other one has WAY MORE experience, but they interviewed Matthew first and then her. But the real kicker in all of this is Matthew would really like to have the job she has now. So in the long run it might just work out that she get this job and Matthew can have hers. They are letting them know next week, so we shall have to wait and see. The people who he interviewed with started out by saying that they have heard nothing but good things about him. So that was reassuring. Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers. I will let you know, when I know.

WFDT ~ Egg sandwich, Doritos and sweet tea. Tonight is the first night of Men's league at the Country Club. Can you tell I am excited.

Make it a great day my friends.
