Hi, I have just spoken to MS about increasing my points and what the best price I could get would be. I advised them that I have seen the Webcast, and they have said that as I was in the UK, they don't understand how I have seen it as I shouldn't have been able to!!

They haven't got any record of me seeing it, even though they have sent me confirmation emails and a 'party in the box' through the mail!!!

I have to wait for my guide to return from Boston on Tuesday, but it doesn't sound as though I will be able to benefit from the Webcast incentives.:sad2:

Anyone else had this problem?? (They asked me for my code from the Webcast, but I can't see one on the emails - anyone got a clue where I might find it??:confused3:thumbsup2

It does sounds as though they will let be keep the old incentives for my 100 akv points and my increased 100 points at BLT, so I guess that is better than the new prices??

I am so confused with all these different offers now, I have no idea what is or isn't a good deal anymore!!:lmao:

If they let you keep the incentives that you started with and just increase your points, then you should end up paying $94.00 per point for the 100 AKV points, and $96.00 per point for the 100 BLT points, for a total of $19,000.

Even with the webcast, I think you would only be at $18,600 so not a huge difference.

But, if you have copies of the emails that were sent to you, I would ask your guide for an email address so you can forward them to him to show that you were registered and able to watch. That, at the very least, should qualify you for those incentives.

If your guided says you can't, I would at least ask to speak to a supervisor about getting approval.

Good luck!

Hi again Sandi!!:) I have just checked my paperwork and I got $96 per point at AKV and $98 at BLT - does that sound right??? This would then work out at $19,400.:confused3

Was your last contract 200? I thought it was less (wasn't it 165?). If so, that would account for the difference.

If you move up to 200, you qualify for an additional $2.00 off per point, which would reduce the prices to $94.00 and $96.00--that is assuming they let you rewrite the contract with the old incentives (since you are just increasing the points).

Even under the new incentives just released, AKV, would be $91.00 and BLT would be $99--it still works out to $19,000 for 200 points (100 of each).

HTH!

Hope this helps.

I shouldn't have been on the webcast either as I am in Canada. I also got my party in a box and they even called me yesterday to follow up with me about the webcast. The deal I got with the free 7day cruise works out better for me as I was planning a cruise anyways. Saves me about $1000 versus the new incentive and paying for the cruise myself.

Sandi that's great!:lovestruc - thank you - I think even the guides I've spoken to today are a bit confused - so thank you for pointing it out to me.:lovestruc

Actually just saying that, the last guide I spoke to said that the new incentive for BLT was only $5 - bringing it to $107 per point - any idea what he was talking about, as that was why he told me I was better sticking with the old incentives??:confused3

And that's assuming that they let you split your purchase below the minimum and buy 2 different resorts. Just because they allowed some people to do it doesn't mean that they will allow everyone to do it forever. The deals can also be different depending on which group your Guide is assigned to.

It may not seem fair, but that's the way it is.

stefano - were you able to give them a code??:confused3

They asked me for one and I can't find one - although I have an email that welcomes the Davis family to the webcast and they sent me the box, so they must have my info somewhere, but today they couldn't trace me - weird huh!!:lmao:

they have let me do that with my original purchase so do you think that might change if I amend my contract now??

I feel like crying right now as it all seems to be so complicated and I thought that if you amended contract before closing it was relatively easy, but no one seems to be able to give me a price let alone anything else!!:lmao:

The CM probably didn't know that you have a member referral. It is $107 without one--if you have one, and buy 200 points, it drops BLT to $99.

Great point and you are right, Disney can change things at anytime. But Amy already has approval to do a split contract for AKV and BLT, and is just looking to increase the # of points for each from her original amount to 200.

Let's put this thing to rest before amystevekai&bump has a break down.

amystevekai&bump, please call (800) 800-9100 and ask to speak to your guides Manager. Your Guide will be OKing everything with their manager anyway. Explain your concerns, get your answers and go hang out at the Pub for a couple of hours. :drinking1

FYI - DVD has a policy that using email from Guide to Guest is a no, no. Guides have been fired for doing so. Yes some still do it, but the official policy is no email so don't get upset if you don't get email from your Guide.

thanks Sandi for the reassuring words!!:lovestruc

I will have to wait until tomorrow to speak to the Sales Manager as I have just tried to ring and it appears they have all gone home now. I was really enjoying this purchase, but I now feel really stressed about the whole thing - fingers crossed tomorrow will be a better day!!:thumbsup2
