The walking dead amc #2

SO I dozed while watching and dh didn't realize it and deleted the episode from the DVR. What happened with the dumpster people? Did they bring them guns in this episode? Or did I dream of them seeing them? Thanks!
Yeah they brought them guns...like 60some. And they want more. They negotiated how many each keep and the stupid cat sculpture Rick stole. Dumb. Can't stand the way they talk...really really don't get it.

Wow, maybe I am glad I missed that. Blech! Thanks for the recap!

Yeah, I was barely watching the whole show. Was on my tablet the whole time. It was such a bore. So I don't have the exact details of the dump meet up but wack-a-doodle chick wants 'more guns'. Rick gets to keep the stupid cat.

I was on my tablet too, kind of half watching. But that's how I remember it too. Crazy dump chick said Rick did not bring enough guns and wanted more. They negotiated back and forth about how many more guns. Surprise surprise Rosita gets mad and threatens to take ALL the guns and go home. Rick agrees to get more guns. Crazy dump chick talks in her weird talk and it ends with Rick being happy to go out on the road again with Michonne.

Oh yeah, they were happy to get more time on their 'honeymoon'...blech.

OK, was anyone else bothered by how many times Rick talked about staying out longer? I mean, I understand their honeymoon-type trip and all but I couldn't help thinking that he needed to get home to his children. After Neegan showing up with Carl and everything else that has happened, why is he not worried about being away from his kids for that long?

Yes, I kept yelling "what about the baby". My DDs said 'he's a bad dad'.

Somebody needs to have a word with the continuity person or the staff writers...

1. Again, maybe 2 years in to the zombie apocalypse and you have the junkyard gang going all beyond thunder dome...

2. Rick and Michonne find the carnival which seems to have been an army outpost as well...with a bunch of bodies on the ground so decomposed they are just clothing?? I don't believe two years is enough to decompose a body to nothing. Were that the case most zombies would have decomposed to nothing. For that matter why haven't the zombie simply disintegrated to the point of not being able to stay upright yet?

I am confused by the time line too. Last we saw Judith, she was a baby in the crib, not too long ago. Now she is a toddler. How far into the apocalypse was she born? and how far are we into the apocalypse?

Judith was a product of Shane and Lauries love affair just a few months after the apocalypse. Figure 2-3 months maybe? Then she's born 9 months later, or one year into the apocalypse. She is now about 18 months to 2 years old? So the apocalypse is at best 3 years from the very start when humanity and civilization was totally still a thing lol.

I often wonder why they don't cover themselves in walker guts anymore so they can walk among them. They used this tactic within the last season or so when they put the bed sheets on when the walkers got into Alexandria. It's obviously effective. When Rick & Michonne were up against that whole herd at the carnival, they could have used that tactic to scope out the area or even swipe some guns carefully without going through the risk and hassle of killing all of them.

Hey, was anyone else excited when it looked like Rick died? I was... lol.

LOL, I knew it had to be the deer they were eating, no way it would be Rick, but I was worried for Michone. I thought she might get bit there for a second.

It was a slow episode, but I guess they have to have these slow episodes to lay ground work. Next week it does look Carol springs into action, but I wonder why. Does she find out about Glen and Abe or is it something else that lights a fire under her butt.

Yeah, they used it in the beginning of the series too. Then they stopped. The writers or whoever gave some lame excuse about it "not being practical" to have zombie guts on you all the time, it's gross, or that it washes off in the rain. Basically just a copout so they could have more dramatic and perilous situations when the characters go outside their safety zones. If they had guts on them all the time, the zombies would just ignore them and would make it boring.

The people on Fear the Walking Dead, however, do it ALL THE TIME so we KNOW it works, LOL.

Good point. The zombies in the carnival looked to be contained so would assume that no newer walkers have joined them recently.

Exactly. They also don't do what Michone did with them, break their jaws and walk between them to camouflage yourself.

I actually liked this episode okay, but I'm a lot more excited for next week, to see Carol again. I don't mind the episode being slow going, I get the feeling they are slowing things down and setting things up for all heck to break lose. I was a bit confused about the deer looking so fake, because I thought I remembered a deer back a few seasons ago looking like real video, whereas this one is all CGI looking.

I am so excited to see what Carol and the Kingdom are up to this next episode. The preview made my heart race with just the thought of what is to come.

This shows the timeline up to day 633, which is when they meet with Gregory to convince him to join the fight.

Day 628 was eenie meanie miney moe day.

As for Judith, she was born on day 309. So up until the day they meet with Gregory, she is only 324 days old. The site doesn't go beyond day 633 so don't know how many days passed between that last day and last episode. Certainly not very long so Judith should only be a year old or just past a year old.

The amazing thing is, in 2 years, Carl has aged from 10 years old to 17 years old.
