The walking dead amc #2

I find the distaste for Jadis and the junkyard gang a little funny, because it's not like other groups aren't super weird. Ezekial is pretending to be a king and his bodyguards have "armor" to make them look like knights.

I honestly assumed the groups with "themes" are just trying to get by, like it's a defense mechanism. The world is not normal. People do all kinds of things to compensate.
But I readily admit that I don't try to see much realism on this show anymore. I think if I thought about all the things that were wrong, I wouldn't watch anymore.

I guess I'm one of the few that likes Rick and Michonne as a couple. I feel like she is giving him strength and keeping him together a lot of the time. When he kept wanting to stay out longer, I did make the "what about Judith" comment to DH, but also, it just made me so, so sad for him. Why wouldn't he want to stay out? He and Michonne were having a few moments of peace. He has no peace in his life.

I watched the whole episode on edge, because I thought Michonne was going to die or get bitten (I knew it was the deer at the end and not Rick)...I also kind of thought she was going to tell Rick she was pregnant. There was a moment when they were walking and talking, and she had this look on her face like she was going to tell him something major...I was just sure that was it.

Last week, I said I wanted Rosita to take out her angst on Eugene for being a traitor (if he's legitimately switched sides), but now? Now I want Eugene to kill Rosita. She's driving me crazy, and I feel like Eugene could be all, "Call me a coward one. more. time." and then get rid of her for good. I'm worried for Sasha...the actress is going to be starring in the new Star Trek series, so I feel like her days are numbered.

So true about the Kingdom! so strange the whole "king" thing. I also laughed at their "armor" they look like kids going out skateboarding.

I also think Shasha will be killed off, I had also read she is the lead in the Star Trek show, so I am guessing her death is no big shock. Would LOVE for Eugene (or anyone for that matter) to kill Rosita.

At least Ezekiel knows he's putting on a front. And the "armor", much of which appears to be sports padding, is more for protection from walker attacks than it is to look like a knight.

Right, but the people are still falling in line behind Ezekiel and treating him a certain way because of the king title (and the tiger!). And sports padding or not, zombie protection or "armor", it's stylized in a way to resemble a knight in The Kingdom. Whether that's a choice made by the show's costuming department or a character choice (the guys themselves wanting to be "knights", or Ezekiel encouraging it), it seems obvious to me that that's what it is supposed to resemble or represent. With Jadis, it could be the same sort of deal. I'm just saying, it isn't only her group that is acting outside of traditional norms since this all happened, so it seems strange to me that so many people focus on her group being weird, when the whole world they're all living in is weird!

Is her way of speaking and her mannerisms kind of out there? Absolutely! But for me, personally, I don't think it's any more odd than the way many of the other characters act or react to the new ways of the world. It's just an opinion, doesn't make me right or anyone else wrong . Art is subjective :-):-)

I'm so excited to see Carol tonight! I'm anxious to see her reaction to learning about Negan's victims :sad2:

Tonight's Whole show is oddly filmed. Don't like it.

All for one melon?????

It is pretty ridiculous, but this is the Saviors they are dealing with. It's not really about the melon, but about them thinking that the Kingdom thinks they can short them. This episode is causing me high stress :l

LOVED this episode!
The one melon just shows how unhinged the Saviors truly are and that it would take nothing to set them off.
Poor Benjamin! Love that Morgan and Carol are back (fingers crossed anyways)

I really liked it. LOVE that Morgan and Carol are BACK!!! I also liked that that lead savior kind of had a heart. He didn't want anyone getting hurt, he just wanted his melon. He got really mad at that long haired jerk who shot the kid.

Well, I liked the end result. Just seems slow getting to this point and lots of time focused on dumb unnecessary stuff. I don't know, I am finding it on par with Fear the Walking Dead which is a crappy show.

It's the principal, not the melon.

I think her reaction was milder than I thought it would be. She made sure Morgan was ok, in a safe place before leaving him and not letting him go off half cocked. She's planting tomatoes, not going off all crazy or anything. I think she'll be ok.

Rosita still needs to go.

Yeah, it wasn't about the melon at all. It was about control. We said we wanted 12 melons, you will give us 12 melons, no more no less. Come back tomorrow with the 1 melon you owe us. And while we are at it, we will take your guns to show you we are in control.

It was definitely about more than just the melon.

I agree Carol's reaction to hearing about Abe and Glenn's death was mild, but thinking about it I think she was in shock and she also was concerned about Morgan. He just told her he killed Richard and she knows how he was so pro-life, that every life was precious. So for him to kill someone, someone he knew, I think Carol knew she had to hold it together and be there for Morgan.

Much better tonight than last week. We usually watch the previous weeks show from 8 - 9pm, but didn't want to this time. It was so bad last week.

Does Carol know Maggie is pregnant???
