The walking dead amc #2

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out who Rick would be happy to see and I just can't think of anyone. The only one they parted ways with that was a friend was Carol and I don't see her changing her mind that quickly and being able to wrangle that many people together in such a short period of time. There was that family back in Season 1 that they parted ways with in like the 3rd or 4th episode. I can't think of their names offhand. I believe they were a Spanish family if I am remembering right.

Rick didn't see anyone. He was smiling because they found potential allies to join their army agains the Saviors. He was seeing numbers. They need bodies to fight Negan. He was smiling at all the people. He will try to get them to join the fight against Negan

Did we ever find out what happened to the guy Tara was with just before she fell off that bridge and ended at oceanside? I wonder if/when he'll turn up. I'm not saying he's who Rick smiled at, but he kind of went MIA and no closure on his storyline.

But how does Rick know they aren't part of Negan's gang.

Oh that's right! We never did find out what happened to him. Maybe it's him Rick sees. Although, why wouldn't he go back to Alexandria. Hmmmm.

Heath. Since the actor who plays him is now the star of the new version of 24, my guess is we won't see him again.

Lololol...so I guess we just assume he's a walker now. I didn't know that he has a new show. It'd be nice if they still tied up that loose end.

The problem with Gabrial being jumped in the storeroom is he was on watch. Why did he leave his post to go to the storeroom to begin with?

you know, you are right.
i recorded it and does look like that now that you mentioned it.
At first it looked like all women and I thought it was that seaside group Tara met but there were a few men hidden among them. Tricky. I wonder if the show wanted us to be uncertain. It does make me vey anxious to watch next Sunday's episode.

But how does Rick know they aren't part of Negan's gang.

Possibly by their weapons, but also by how they look. They were all dressed similarly. The Saviors don't do that. Plus Rick had returned to the place where him and Aaron were scavenging for the Saviors, so it wouldn't make sense that the Saviors would now be hiding out there. And I think also because they have a deal with the Saviors. The Saviors wouldn't corner them like that at this point for no apparent reason.

But how does Rick know they aren't part of Negan's gang.

Because like the pp said, Negan owns them now. They work for Negan, so Negan would not have his people surround them like that. Negan wants them out scavenging for him, getting him food and supplies. He would not interfere with that. Also, these people had a distinct look. I noticed they all had slicked back hair, both men and women.

He won't be smiling later. At all.

Why? Is this group bad? I read this is a group that is not in the comics, on other forums they are being referred to as the "junkyard group." If you have a spoiler, can you post it in white?

They're in the comics, and their leader terrifies me more than Negan. If I had spoilers I couldn't post them and wouldn't post them.

I believe those were the Morales's.
And then there were the nursing home "gang" people. We don't know what happened to them.
Then there's the hospital group where Beth died. They're still going strong (I would think).
I'm sure there's someone else I'm missing...but those are ones Rick would know. I was thinking that it would be someone he knew, but it could just be that he is seeing the size of the group and liking it.

I do NOT think it could be Dwight with F. Gabriel. He's Neegan's right hand man. He doesn't have time to be establishing some relationship with F. Gabriel or whatever. I think when he turns on Neegan, it's going to be a quick one, not something he's been milking along in the dark. That's too much risk for him. I think Dwight is just now seeing there could be some escape from the deal with the devil he and his wife made and he's weighing his options still.

I don't think the junkyard gang is that group you're referring to. THAT group you're thinking of dresses rather distinctly. I think this new group is an add on. Something not in the comic story line.

It has been widely publicized that the Junkyard group is not in the comics, you must be thinking of the Whisperers?

I think they are them.....
I think it is the Whisperers. I saw the previews for next week and there is a tough women leader Rick talks to and she looks like Alpha from the comics. I just don't know why they are showing up now. They come along after the Negan war, in the comics. They weren't in their distinct attire but the Whisperers, in the comics, aren't always in that getup. I feel like show is going off comic cannon and this will be a whisperer-like group and I think Enid is this leader's daughter and show won't have to bring on another teen character to be Alpha's daughter.... though they did show her parents' deaths, right? So maybe not. Show has jumped the shark so I am anxious to see if it comes back on line or stays 'Lost' like.

I liked it too. I don't think this group is a Negan outpost. Rick smiled at the end, I think he sees a potential army to join him against Negan.

Did the guy force Gabriel to go with him? It was just so odd. He left his book in hopes that Rick would find it I guess.

I said that to my DH. That Rick was smiling because he had found himself a well armed army to fight Negan.

Rosita's in a mood, huh? When she told Sasha just because they slept with the same guy doesn't make them friends! Dang!
Can't really blame her. Sasha is "the other woman", the one who stole her man and they way he went about breaking up with her, after all that they had been through and all that time. That was just cold and mean. I think any woman in her position would be pretty ticked off also.

Just watched it last night, but I am going to have to watch it over again, especially the Father Gabriel part. Was wondering why he was leaving his post and then when he started taking all the food and weapons, leaving them to starve. It didn't make sense.
