Last October when Tomato turned 40 I did not think it was a big deal.
Last February when one of my BFFs turned 40 I did not think it was a big deal.
Now that I will be 40 IT IS A BIG DEAL!

I really thought I'd be okay with it.

I was wrong.

Not that I have a choice.

Tomato really doesn't feel well... and he is tired. Quite frankly, he is also grumpy. An hour ago I sent him to bed!

Yes that was the day I left, woohoo! I was so excited, I even got up at 5:00 a.m. to go to the airport and you have to be pretty darn special for me to get up at 5:00 a.m. for you! I got in at 10:00 a.m. and a friend's husband picked me up at the airport and brought me to the office where Sharky was trying a very big case, but she was able to get away from the other partners long enough to give me her key and the thingy to take the alarm off. So I got here and came in and everyone else was sleeping and I just hung out and relaxed until Sharky got home, Huey got up and from that point on it's been a blast!!!

Huey would not let me go to bed that night, he was afraid if he went to sleep I'd be gone in the morning. He kept hugging me and sitting with me and touching me and wanted to sit on me while I was trying to sleep, lol. It was adorable! He said "Oh Mom Mom I'm so happy to see you! I love you!" then he said when you aren't here I sure do miss you MomMom!" He sure knows how to make you feel special!!!!

Well now you just lay down on the couch and tell me how that makes you feel? I understand you wanting to make your plans the night before leisurely while you have time to discuss it and then of course you would know how to dress. I think you are perfectly justified i your feelings to be annoyed that your friend would not make the plans until the day of....I think you need to discuss this with her at another time and explain why you feel this way and see if she would be willing to make the plans ahead, next time!!!! Evan is just the opposite of Teddy Bear. He will take a hot dog in the bun with ketchup on it and slide the hot dog out of the bun to it eat it bite by bite and leaves the bun behind. In other words, the bun is his hot dog holder! When you ask him why he says he doesn't want to get ketchup on his hands! So I say, well I could just cut it up for you and you could eat it with a fork and not waste a bun. His answer to that is that is how babies eat it so no thank you.

You just cannot argue with that child and win.

Go Evan! I totally do that myself, lol. I don't care for the hot dog bun so I put it on the bun sort of as a holder, put ketchup on it and then slide it out of the bun and eat it bite by bite!!!

Yes being skinny and 40 certainly is easier than being overweight and 40!!! I do NOT want to be 60 and fat so though I have a year to pull it off I want to lose it before we go to Disney in October, it will be easier walking around if I am carrying less fat around!!!! Remember, listen to your Mom's advice, "shaving cream" get lots and lots of cans of the cheap stuff and you can write Big 40 and all kinds of great things on her sidewalk leading up to the house and the sidewalk along the street in front of her house and it will bleach the sidewalk and though the shaving cream will wash away everything you wrote will be there for a year. LOL, also you can write it on the telephone poles outside too, up and down, that too will bleach in!!! Then of course the signs and banners and don't forget the signs out on the roads leading to her house announcing her birthday!!!!

Fifty pounds by August. 25 yeah we could do that. We have to work hard though. Eat controlled amounts of food. And exercise for an hour twice a day.

Well I sure am going to try Michele, keep encouraging me and be my inspiration!! I really need the encouragement as I have no will power and DH is one to eat bad, I mean really bad meals, for instance, meat and 3 starches, no veggies, no fruit. Then the other half of the time he wants to go out to eat and usually to not the best places for a healthy meal. I need to overcome that!

I am going to do that bike at the gym in the condo as often as I can get on it and try to make myself get out and walk. I am walking more anyway (when I am back in FL) because I can't just put the dog out the door like I did at home so quite a few times a day he gets a little walk around the complex.

LOL!!! I only do that to those I love so yo uca tick me off and then I wouldn't "honor you on your birthday!" When I was 40 my friends got together and paid to have a banner run under the local tv channel saying that I was 40. The banners run and start over again every half an hour 24 hours a day and it was on there for two weeks! Then my ex DH was on the school board so he used his influence to get them to put Lordy Lordy Karen's 40 on the big bulletin board on the lawn of the school on the main street through town. That's just a few of the things that were done to me, lol.

THIS IS HOW PEOPLE CAN CHANGE....
When i was a young foolish girl/young Lady I used to change clothes driving to work. Yes Ms. Modesty herself!! I was going to Bible College at the time and working 2 jobs well realy 3 cause I babysat also. Anyhow lots of times I would change into my cashiers outfit after leaving the credit union where I was Assistant to the Manager. I did this all without flashing anyone while driving a standard down the road!!! I thnk the Lord turned that dangerous talent around to where now I can use it to be multifunctional w/all the stuff we have in our family!!!
I can honestly say I don't do that anymore although the other day Tyler finally admitted that it "Drives him NUTS" the way I'll steer w/my knees sometimes!!!
For the record I only use my knee for a second or so when the road is clear!!! Although he did make me realize I shouldn't do that anymore!!!

You are multi talented and very inspiring! See how you took the things you did as a young foolish girl and turned your talents around so you can multi task in your family with everything that goes on around there. You are truly an inspiration!

You're probably right, I can't picture her with our sense of humor about things like that, lol.

I put a sign on the front of someone's car on the grill, lol, saying Lordy Lordy Linda's 40!" as I knew she came around the back of the car to get in and then of course she parked up the street from the school all day so everyone saw the sign, which was funny, however, when she continued driving around with it and the air could not get in the grill, her car over heated, LOL, but luckily she pulled over before any permanent damage was done! Oops!
