Do you take Ambien? :rolleyes1

Hubby would sleep eat on Ambien, very ODD combinations too! He stuffed green olives with cream cheese (sucking out the pimientos first)

Opened up root beer and sprayed it all over the floor and inside the fridge.. that was an awful mess to find in the morning.

He also eloped one night, just walking around.. thank goodness he didn't take the car!!

Ahhh yes. I have only taken Ambien once.. WHen I was 34 weeks pregnant and had gone in for pre term labor. They stopped my contractions, and sent me home. Right before I left, they had me pop an Ambien, and I dont take a lot of meds, so it messed me up! We got home, and I sent Alex out to the car to get something for me. Not a big deal, except it was 1am!! Frelan was getting the kids down for bed and realized Alex was missing... He was SOOO mad at me! He yelled at me to go to bed. Only he used naughty words..:lmao: I was hungry, and wanted my tortillas! :rotfl2: I had no idea what I was doing.

ARGH!
Just talked to dh (who is having a wonderful time btw), his dialysis nurse called and asked what was his plan..

uhhh I'm already here in CA? I took my own supplies. :confused3

His nurse then said he should have called and was "not courteous" to the social worker who had been working all morning to find him an in-center appointment.
:confused::confused::confused:

E of course is perplexed, our understanding was that they could not help.
It was 11 am Friday when we had called to ask, heard nothing all weekend. The plane was leaving Sunday, the staff were aware of this.

Looking at his cell missed call list, he may have missed a call from the social worker on Friday.... he hadn't set up voice mail yet on the cell. The center does have our home phone, wouldn't it be "courteous" to call the home phone and leave a message if you could not reach someone on the first try?

Wait? why wouldn't the social worker call E Monday morning? Touch base and see what happened? NO, the nurse called in the afternoon.

Did they expect him to leave without having ANY dialysis set up????

grrr, we have never quite got along with this nurse. Personality clash I guess, have you ever met someone that you immediately thought.. I don't like him/her? He/she just rubs me the wrong way?

I almost called the nurse to chew his ear, point out that he didn't give any suggestions and that he should realize that E's life does not revolve around dialysis. But I knew I would get too emotional and don't want to make a crummy situation any worse.

E also pointed out to me, it's not like the social worker has made any effort to "help" in the past. She only talks to E to ask about his insurance and which one should be primary. (I think they are miffed that his group insurance is secondary.. it's how they make money. Medicare as primary doesn't pay as much. )
hmm, I thought a dialysis social worker was to help people on dialysis meet their needs, help plan life goals, offer resources or other support... Might as well change her job title to insurance specialist.

I think it's time for a new center. :guilty:

Got the new car!! Didn't get the Mustang (it was iffy if we would get the cash for clunkers rebate). SO...we got a Hyundai Accent for a whopping grand total of $5745 out of pocket!

Here's the link, just go down the page and click on the first ice blue color (sorry, couldn't get it to paste the exact page. http://www.rontonkinhyundai.com/ind...default&ConfigMake=Hyundai&ConfigModel=Accent

Anyway, I worked the deal and signed all the paperwork on my lunch break. DH will be driving the truck over from work to hand over and sign off and we will take the car home tonight. WOOHOO!!

M O V I N G D A Y ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :cool1: :worship:  :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :cheer2: :flower3:

WooHoo! Party at Dizzy's house!

So...I really want one more trip before my AP's expire. Talked to DH, and agreed on some dates (however he did just tell me to book it and let him know when to request off). I am so torn on what to do though - we can vacation in the summer (business is extremely busy - we are where people go to get out of the heat). But I am also not sure how long I can feasibly pull the kids out of school (most worried about Alec - I really don't think he is ready for 1st grade)

Went to book anyways - and my dates are packed - no openings....

So...do I let the AP's expire - do i try for different dates??? How long can you pull a kid out that is going to struggle- but I think he will struggle anyways - so should I let him have fun??? HELP PLEASE!!! NEED OPINIONS!!!

Sadly I let mine expire and didn't make it back again.

I KNOW!!! I was telling dh tonight that we should think about a spilt stay on our trip.. Maybe try out the AKV one bedroom for 5 nights after my mom leaves. I think that the six of us being crammed in one tiny little room AND vacationing with my mom might send us over the deep end. Plus it is going to be wicked hot.. at least for us. We only fight when its to hot.. and DANG do we fight!:lmao: We had 100+ temps this week with no AC, and I threw a plate at my husband. :lmao::lmao:

Good idea! Although it probably won't be too hot. But you never know.

Cute car! :thumbsup2 I like the color.

Is there a wasy to find out if your car will qualify before you go to the dealer? Do you have to buy a brand new car?

Nevermind...looked it up, says my car gets 28 miles to the gallon so I don't qualify. It doesn't really tho...:sad2:

Sure wish I could have gotten the Mustang. But this is ok also, and heck what 17yo is going to be disappointed in a brand new car?

The rules said that it needed to get 4mpg better. Our truck got 17, so we needed to get up to 21mpg. However, another rule says that cars must be 22mpg. So in other words we could trade it in and get a new truck that gets 21mpg, but not a new car (the Mustang) that gets 21mpg.

I talked to a supervisor at cars.gov and she said they realized there were some discrepancies in the rules. So if we could find a dealer willing to submit a request for a waiver, then it would possibly go thru. She said most likely it would, but she couldn't promise anything. But we figured they were soon going to be running out of money, so didn't want to wait for a waiver to be approved. Besides, this saved me about $6,000 over the Mustang.:lmao:

Doubt it, give me a week or two and I'll mess up some basic parenting skill.:rotfl2:

It is VERY basic, no a/c and no radio. But I'm sure by tomorrow she will have a stereo installed.:lmao: I will feel so much better about her going off to college with something reliable to drive. Plus the seats flip down and it's a hatchback, so she can actually put a lot in the back if she needs to.

We told her that this is her graduation present. She just got it 10 months early.:rotfl:

Go to cars.gov and look under MPG ratings. Yeah, the MPG's are averages for when they were new. There is no way our truck was getting 17mpg. More like 12! And yes it is for brand new cars only.

Basically if you have a big, low gas mileage clunker that is worth nothing and want to buy something brand new that is fuel efficient then this is the program for you.

Boy you should have seen the clunkers lined up in the back at the dealership. It looked worse than a junkyard. Our clunker actually looks pretty good compared to most of them. I swear it looked like every white trash, ghetto car found it's way there.:lmao:

Watching Antique Roadshow, sitting in E's recliner with my feet up, fans strategically placed to cool me and laptop in use.. ahhh perfect no husband evening.

Meanwhile my husband is taking a water taxi tonight to Coronado Island,
I told him "you suck!"

He laughed and hung up.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We told DD about the car and she has been online to see it. Although last night when we told her we were thinking of buying her a new car she was ecstatic. However, (no doubt she's my child) she asked if it would still be ok to drive the Mercedes to the first day of school this year!:lmao:

Too funny!

I love Coronado Island (or at least I did when I was there about 22 years ago). I always thought if I had to live in So. Cal. then I would want to live on Coronado Island. Although I'm sure it's probably changed quite a bit since then.

I'm at work late, DH gets off work at 6 and is going to swing by around 6:45 so he can follow me to the dealership. Unfortunately I have a feeling he probably won't fit well into the new car and he will get to drive the convertible home...while I'm stuck with the no a/c, no radio hamstermobile.

hmm, one ugly looking painted plate that she picked up for cheap at a garage sale...

Appraised at $1500

why can't I find things like that??

Her other important question last night...if it's my car can I put a giant Fox sticker in the back window, my race number and other stickers? YEP, knock yourself out and pimp it out however you want.:lmao:

Hey, maybe I should stop by Walmart and get some dingleballs for the front window! Then I'll tell her they come standard with the car and she can't remove them.:lmao:

Truth is we probably do find things like that....only we eat off of them, get lead poisoning, drop them while taking out of the dishwasher, throw the broken plate into the garbage and never have a clue.:rotfl:
