Thanks for the update on the girls' side Camille! I actually do ask DH to take Tessa sometimes. Women take boys into the bathroom all the time right? I guess 4 yrs old is getting a little too old to do that anymore, although I'm sure he screens the room before entering.
My rule of thumb on this for both kids were when they could see "you know what," at eye level, it was time to go to appropriate bathrooms! LOL
When I take her, I'm always telling her "Don't touch anything!" so she's gotten to the point of asking me if she can touch her body while she puts her hands on her belly.
This made me laugh, it sounds like something my daughter would have said when she was that age.
She really pushes to the limits.
This is pretty much the norm with all kids to some level or another.
One time I took her we did okay in the potty part, but as I'm getting the sink turned on and the soap dispensed for her she LICKED HER HAND.

Seriously!? What on earth would posses a person to do that? It's not like I told her "don't lick your hand"
OMGoodness!! That is the funnies thing I've heard in a long time!! That totally sounds like something my daughter would have done!!! I'm sorry.... I laugh now, but it's only because I'm not at that place any more, enjoy it while you can, it doesn't last long.
....Anyway, thankfully Phoebe can sort of stand (she holds onto me or a rail or something) so I can get her changed in a bathroom. I used those baby changing tables until she was about 5.
