The People Mover Is Not Safe!!

That reminds me. When my son was small about 6 or so we went on Soaring and I put a golf ball in my hand without him knowing. When the ball came at us I reached out and pretended to catch it. You should've seen his eyes when i had a golf ball in my hand.

Fun idea!

One time i got restrained in a rocket and got flight trained by Gary Sinese of all people, he was only an astronaut in a MOVIE, then we traveled to Mars when we nearly fell off a cliff! Why does Disney think an actor can properly train 4 people to fly a rocket to Mars?

This is so funny...love this thread

as far as I know the only reports of injuries on the people mover or its equivalent at Disneyland (which isn't operational any longer) were to persons who deliberately tried to climb between cars while the ride was in motion. I wouldn't say it needs seat belts.

I'm not sure a guest who is seated in a vehicle on the WDW peoplemover can be thrown from one car to another during a hard stop.

A hard stop, while extremely rare is possible. I don't think OP was injured when fell into the seat across, and certainly didn't get pixie dusted by Tink and fly to next car! ;)

This thread is open again. Please keep it friendly and have fun

May I respectfully ask why it was closed? A re read of it didnt seem to me as anything but a bit of fun.

We did this with the jewels at Philharmagic, the kids were amazed and went straight to show Ariel her jewels DD still talks about it. will have to try your idea next time. :)

We went on a wee river cruise and were not only attacked by Hippos but narrowly avoided a beheading

How about those Muppets. Talk about dangerous!! They shoot off a cannon and blow a hole in the back wall. And there is no warning!! I wonder how much longer they will continue to do this before they shut it down!! and how do they fix that wall so quckly?
There's only so much "minor damage" the theater can take!

These stories are intense.

My family and I weren't even on a ridewhen it happened. We were just watching a happy parade with princesses and dancers and upbeat music when all of a sudden a large dragon attacked the park, breathing fire at anyone who dared to stick around. I don't even understand how he got through security.

Wow, cracked up at the title of this thread thinking what a great joke - read the op's post and realized they were actually serious! :faint:

On one of the mildest rides at MK at that! Can't imagine getting flung across the car in that ride.

We did both of these things when we were there earlier this month. Our daughter had to take a picture with the golf ball by the Soarin' sign and told everyone we met that her dad caught the golf ball. Most played along. One or two looked really confused (which I definitely get). The jewel we got is now on a necklace that she wants to wear everyday. Fun little thing you can do for your kiddos that is cheaper than a souvenir and makes for great memories.
