Pain management is unfortunately a very complex thing.
I was taking motrin after I left hospital aftermy horrid migraine but a balance of paracetamol, codeine and aspirin was helping better without destroying my stomach lining.

My gran had very bad osteo arthritis which with her other ailments was complex to manage. Very complex actually.
RA can be even harder because of the nature of it. As described the drugs destroy the immune system.
You can give someone a strong drug. But it doesn't always fix the problem.
My best friend I think is pethadine....lol....only tried it once and was in pain free land.

I hope you can manage with Fran so cranky Alison.
I was a crying heap the night before admitting myself to hospital with the migraine a few months ago. Frustration of no pain relief is awful.
