Oh, Sequoia Lodge. 
I wish I read that things had changed since my last stay there. Alas, it sounds just as frustrating. The "air coolers" were such a joke. (One of the reasons we opted to stay at the Disneyland Hotel in 2019 was because we knew it would be June and it was the only hotel at DLP with real A/C. The first time we stayed at Sequoia, we were sweltering.)
It's really interesting, because your experience on Phantom Manor mirrored my family's exact thoughts the first time. We did not understand the fuss whatsoever. But when we rode it in 2022, we enjoyed it a lot more. Maybe because we knew what to expect? I don't know.
Did you enjoy the loading area for Pirates? It's very immersive.
I hope you were able to ride BTMRR! It's my kids' favorite version.
Those metal sculptures are so neat.
Your dinner, while not all dishes were winners, sounds like it was overall, very nice. That's a beautiful pin. And your photos from the meal are lovely. You both so relaxed and happy!
