Well, you are learning something different, which could be a blessing, it may help somewhere else.

That is one of the reasons I accepted it too. It never hurts to learn something new. I have been told that I have to figure it out myself as no one who knows how to do it has time to walk me through it. That makes a little nervous. Since I know most of the people there, I hope they will be patient with me while I figure it out. I also told them that I would be willing to come back and get terminated again in the future if they need temp work if this works out (and I have not found another permanent job by then).

It does not sound interesting at all. Insurance Credentialing. Apparently, the person who was doing it messed up some contracts and let some lapse. If a provider does not have a valid contract, the ins will not pay him. More than half of all patients never pay the Dr when they are billed. Plus, people will be very upset thinking someone is a preferred provider only to find out he is not! Hopefully, I can get it under control. I helped fill out a Medicare Contract years ago, and that was no fun!!! The other person did most of the work, so that was the closest I ever got to credentialing.

They are hiring me with no experience, because they love me and they know that I am okay with being terminated again when the job ends. It has to be done during business hours, because that is when insurances are open. Anyone already working cannot push their work aside to do it, and they are too cash poor to have a full time credentialer.

I haven't seen the 650D or T4i yet; but I know that they released it in June.

I've upgraded to the 7D. Picked it up in Hong Kong...DH bought it for me as a birthday present so that he could get the T2i back.

Well since the economy tanked I guess it's not so much an issue, but most places here have over a 2 hour wait (or used to).
