Hi! We need to order something on Amazon for our trip to Disney World. I know we can have it delivered directly to the resort. The problem is that, if it is not what we expected, we would want to return it and cannot fly home with it. Have you ever returned something via Amazon while at Disney World? Where is the nearest drop-off/pick up location for returns? We are not renting a car, and it would be financially foolish to take an Uber to a return spot (at that point, we might as well just donate or throw away the item).

You can't know until you try to return it. Even at home I get different return location options and different pricing depending on some formula only Amazon knows. I sincerely doubt there is anywhere onsite where you can do amazon returns with just a QR code and even if there is- unknown if it will be an option for your order. There are shipping centers but they tend to charge for processing packages, even if they allow a free drop you'd still have to package your item back up which will at a minimum involve buying some packing tape from them.

You mentioned it's not even worth an Uber to return (which would only by like $20 RT) so I feel like you should know Disney sometimes charges package handling fees of like $6 or something for receiving shipped items and it's not something you can get waived if it is assessed to your account.

Thanks! I thought this would be the answer but was hoping it would not be. I was secretly hoping someone would point out that there is a drop-off point at like Disney Springs or something...

You might be able to ask at the FD if they can print up the return label you can generate from either the website or the app. Most Amazon returns are by UPS and the resorts do have regular drop offs, so you may also be able to leave it with the FD for a pick up. Or, at one of the business centers at one of the convention hotels, there could be a fee either way. It might not be as difficult as you think. Like a previous poster mentioned, you will most likely be charged a $6 package fee for whatever you order. But, if you can't fly home with it why order it or even worry if the item isn't what you think? Don't buy something, use it, then return to Amazon at the end of your trip. Amazon will not always refund you if it's an item that has been used - it asks when you generate the return label.

As I was reading your post I was thinking “I can’t believe this person is suggesting they go to the Fire Department to print an Amazon label.” I eventually figured it out!

Most UPS stores work as Amazon return drop centres, and there's usually an option when doing the Amazon return to do the return without needing packaging or a printed return label. They give you a QR code that the store scans. Closest/easiest UPS store location is likely one of the two in Celebration. See what Amazon suggests when you do the return.

Notes about getting Amazon packages at WDW. The fee your resort charges will range from $5-7 per package...so if Amazon ships your order in multiple packages Disney will charge for each package. The fee differs by resort. Pickup is usually the front desk, and it won't be available immediately after you get the Amazon notification, it takes them a few hours to process the package (and apply the charges to your account) and have it ready for you.

Some places like CSR you are stuck with business center hours only for package retrieval…

It always amazes me how different the policies are between resorts. OKW, where we were last week, and SSR where we've also stayed recently, it's front desk pickup. YC is business center during the day, front desk outside of business center hours. BCV actually delivers them to your room more often than not, and their fees are the cheapest we've encountered at $5 per package.
