Nancy, Liam loved the eggless waffles at Disney too. He had them at O'Hana. If Kady is missing waffles, my children both enjoy dairy-free waffles made by Vans. They come in all different flavors (blueberry, apple-cinnamon and flax are favorites here) and you can find them in the organic frozen food section of the grocery store. There is another organic brand (Wild Life, maybe???) that also makes dairy free waffles in banana and chocolate flavors.

I'm not sure what's for dinner yet. Liam has soccer this afternoon, so we will probably go to the store and get something after that.

It is a very blustery day here! Forecast is for rain and mix snow showers for the majority of today and tomorrow. If it happens, I'll take pictures and show y'all what we're getting.

Alan and I didn't go out last night. Instead we had tomato soup and cheese sammies with the kids. Tonight, however, we are going to Black Angus with another couple. I'm really excited! We haven't done anything like this for some time. So, it should be good. I've just got to figure out something for the kids for dinner while we're gone. I may just order pizza for them.

Today we are going to meet up with friends at Famous Daves for bbq.

I LOVE Famous Dave's! Have fun!

Then Marisa is picking me and Erica up for Kady's Birthday party at Build a Bear and then pizza at a near by Italian restaurant afterward. She is not going to have cake because Kady cannot have it, so ice cream and Tofutti for all!

Brrrrrr.!!! We had a very bad rain storm last night. Tom did not go to my bro's so I drove A and I. The roads were so bad. Be careful driving if you go out!

I picked Tile!!!! Yeah! Its a brownish, tumbled looking, light to medium brown porcelain. I will post a pick when Tom downloads the camera.

He is going to France tomorrow so we are going out tonight to the Italian place we found. It will probably be the last good meal he eats until Friday. You know my honey and French food.

Unfortunately I had a hair appointment so my trip was short but oh so nice to have our mall back!!

You are going to love it!!! It totally rocks!!! We had some left over from a family gathering, and I ended up eating it as a main dish. Is that bad of me???

I'm back from Famous Dave. Just call me a stuffed piggy. Stopped by Cinnabons for dessert/breakfast. I'll start my diet on Monday again.

Alex makes desserts since they are faster. He is pretty good. Think morning we lost power for about 3 1/2 hours. No bad weather here sky blue no wind. I think Com Ed did it on purpose since they are asking for a huge rate increase.

I've had a super busy weekend and I'm SO tired! Had the retreat - which was excellent. I made them chocolate chip pancakes and bacon this morning and for lunch I grilled hot dogs. The retreat was over at 230 except that ONE family decided to NOT pick up their child and didNOT answer any of the THREE numbers I have for them. Seriously - What if your child is in the ER? What if something terrible happened? How am I supposed to care for her if you are completely unreachable?!?

After waiting an HOUR I packed her in my car and headed home. Mom finally noticed all the missed calls and asked me to backtrack to the church and wait for her there.

Long story short - this one family made me get home 2 hours later than I should have.

It made it worse this time because DH was out of town, the dogs were locked up waiting on me, and I had to still shower, iron clothes, get them fed, and make it back out for a dinner meeting at 6 on the other side of town. I raced and apologized to the dogs that they didn't get much freedom today.

AUGH!!!!

Dinner tonight was the meeting at Pappadeux. I had cedar plank salmon with asparagus and a tasting of 5 different desserts. Was there 3 hours and finally got back home for good. Well, 10 more hours. Gotta work all day tomorrow!

Honestly, some folks idea of parenting just makes me furious. And that type of behavior makes you wonder how many times this poor child has needed a parent and they weren't around. OK, enough ranting......

No cooking for me tonight!! Kyle's school is having their annual "Drive-thru" BBQ chicken dinner. It's not that good, but it gives me a day off!

I ate a turkey sandwich in a meeting after worship today and I'm thinking about chinese for dinner. DH is golfing so I told him I'd call in an order on his way home and he could get it. Now what do I want...?

Sorry I have been MIA today...Tom left for France so I was busy helping him pack. Andrew is with his Dad until 8pm so I just made myself a big salad with a veggie burger on the top. I just bought Amy's All American burgers and they taste like falafel to me...I love Falafel!!!

Pumpkin muffins

What a great start! I always baked when I was younger and never had any interest in cooking until I moved out of the house. Then I learned becasue i was hungry. I love to see young ones cook and bake!

I never saw those brands before. I have to branch out and start looking in some other grocery stores. I am a creature of habit and stick to the same ones all of the time. Honestly, Kady will probably only like the ones we got in Disney and convince her Pa that we need to go back so she can have them again, smart kid that she is

Thank you all for Kady's Birthday wishes. She had a blast looking for them and reading them.

We had a good day today. Early Mass and Sunday School for Kady. While we were gone Marisa and Jeff vacuumed and made sure the dishes were done and the house all picked up so that I could make my version of cabbage soup for Kady's party. We also had ham salad, tuna salad and egg salad sandwiches with chips and some crusty artisan bread. For appetizers we had some kind of killer Mexican dip my Sis IL made, hot wings, and a bread bowl with spinach dill dip. Cake, ice cream, brownies, a pecan pie tart, and biscotti for dessert.

I did not make any of the desserts, we bought everything but the brownies, my MIL made them.

We did get the house all cleaned out yesterday. Donny came by again so that was a big help. It was a shame all of the things we needed to get rid of, but I could not keep making trips to the "to good to throw away section" and we are running out of time. Once the snow flies we need to be done. I did tell my brother why I was so upset and he was okay after that. He does not hear himself so he can't understand what he said, but after that I was fine.
I felt badly for him because he had scheduled this little project when his son could come and help him and he never showed up. Since he married he has not bothered with our side of the family and does not help his Mom or Dad. It is really a disgrace and hurts My DB and his wife a lot.
