"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Will someone pm me as to what the people of Hotspot are? It is driving me crazy!

RIP to Franklin and Talbot, my 2 favorites of this season. I laughed when the jug of Talbot was brought out!:rotfl2: Oh, and loved the finale scene. I love how they always try to mix humor in!

All and all, the episode was not as good as other episodes this season. But they made up for it with the final part. But this season has been amazing! I'll be sad when it ends...

Maybe Im the only one but I like Bill with Sookie... I think eric is more attractive but I like her with Bill... (I havent read the books & have no plans to do so)

Just no, no, no, no, no to Bill & Sookie in the shower (book readers know what I'm talking about).

I've noticed the phrase "You just can't seem to stay out of trouble" (or a variant) used about 3-4 times concerning different characters. Everyone is in trouble!

I hated the quite dispersal of Franklin. But I guess it made Tara face her fears and she regained the backbone that the news anchor lost. :rotfl2:

Russell's news stint totally surprised me.

Can't believe this season is almost over!

Has anyone noticed that Sookie bats her eyelashes at men in the series? It is starting to seriously annoy me.:sad2:

Now, that's a real tease.

Forget about you ladies with Team Eric and Team Bill, after that shower scene, I am strictly behind team Sookie :thumbsup2

I keep thinking about when Lafayette was tracing the Jaguar (I think that's what he said it was) tattoo on Jesus' chest. There's something fishy about Jesus. I think there must be a reason the producers chose that particular tattoo and to make a big deal of it. We'll how how that plays out.

They better do an Eric shower scene at some point!!!

I will always hate Bill/Sookie. I don't see him ever growing on me. I'd rather her be with Same or Alcide instead of Bill if she can't be with Eric.

It's True Blood night on HBO tonight. They are re-airring the last 3 episodes. Starting now on the east coast. :happytv: popcorn::

That's what I say! I hope that is not what they were going for on last night's episode! Season 3 better end the way book 4 started! And they better include that particular scene!

No, we have not read the books.
NO BOOK PLOT SPOILERS, PLEASE.

I know spoilers get discussed all the time in this thread, but usually it's about characters we haven't met yet, or stuff so far in the future, we don't remember them, when the characters show up. Some of them are really vague, like, "I can't wait for Alcide to show up. Yummy." So we know, okay, this apparently is an important character. But, that's it.

People here mentioned Godric all the time. But, they let those of us who have not read the books experience his death without spoiling for us. And I thank them for that.

A book spoiler about anything that might be what happens in the TV series - with only 3 episodes to the Finale is bad form.

At least WHITE OUT the fonts if you want to discuss it with other book readers. And put a book Spoiler Warning with it, so people know to stay away, and others will White Out their responses.

Hmmmm.....:confused3 I didn't offer any spoilers as to what the Hotshot people were so wondering what all this was about...I simply asked if people had not read the books or did they just think they might change the TV storyline so its not the same as the books.

Shouldn't that be put in thread title so people don't accidentally post something from the books unintentionally..."TV spoilers included but NO book spoilers please!"

It just seemed like it had the potential to start someone accidentally talking about what the Hot Shot people really are, since you brought up how they are in the books. With so few episodes to the end, and the show seems to be building the suspense & clues that it may be a vital surprise for Jason's storyline, I panicked and wanted to ward that off. I should have just said, "Hey, :wave2: please put the book stuff in white font, so those of us who don't want to read it, can skip it." I certainly didn't mean to make anyone feel bad. :( This is a great, fun thread! :dance3:

Maybe the title of the thread should be edited to No book spoilers?

The title of this thread is True Blood, not the "Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Series, Books 1-9" (or however many books there are.)

This thread is about the TV series which is only into it's 3rd season. While it is loosely (according to many people,) based on the books, many people here only watch the show and do not read the books. (I think this got hammered out amongst us in the first couple seasons. :hyper2:) As a courtesy, in the past 2 seasons, people who have read the books, have not really included info beyond where the TV show has gone or included spoilers for Books 3-9.

Usually, when they do, they "white out" conversation, changing the font color to white. It gets quite interesting, having the two conversations going. :hyper2:) It's actually like True Blood, with a human world, and an unseen, sub-vampire world existing at the same time. :lmao:

This thread has been going quite successfully and has really been great fun for 3 seasons. :yay: :goodvibes We never really had a problem with just being careful about the book discussions. Like I said, no one spoiled anything for us TV show watchers before Godric or Lorena died. (Or the book readers discussed in amongst themselves in their white conversations. ;))

The closest approximation I can give is the Harry Potter movies. Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban (Movie 3) came out as the movie, but there were 5 -6 of the books out that most people already. But people in the threads presumed, not everyone read all the books. That some people have only been following along the movies. People didn't discuss what happens in Book 5 during a Movie 3 discussion. If they did, it was vague, like "I cried when that character died in Book 5." Or they put it in white font and had a separate, yet concurrent discussion in the same thread while not spoiling it for those who haven't gotten to Book 5.

There have been several HP threads for people who have wanted to discuss the other books too. There was a "Sookie Stackhouse Series - all Books" thread a while back. :scratchin But, it lacked all the eye candy pics of Eric and stuff, so it pretty much died out. :p Really, this is the happening thread. :dance3:

id also like to know what the hotspot ppl are

Really, someone can just post it by putting it in White Font for those who want to read can highlight it to read it. :magnify: People don't need to go PMing each other spoiler details. :goodvibes :surfweb:

For anyone that wants to know what the people from HotShot are:
they are werepanthers. Same concept as werewolves, just panthers.

I agree with the above post that if people (like me :goodvibes ) want to discuss the parallels between the books and the show, just white it out. :thumbsup2

I was so shocked when Russell came on the news station. And that last line was an absolute classic and will forever be one of my favorites.
