"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I'm going to have to add an apothecary jar filled with red sludge to my Halloween decorations. Maybe a small tasteful label that simply states "Talbot"

Brilliant. I might not like all the story lines, but little touches like that make to so worth watching!!!

The end of the episode with Russell on the news!:scared1:

Did love when he said: and now, the weather. Tiffany?! I love Russel. So unpredictable!

That was great.:lmao:

And the jar filled with Russell's lover was the best. Although I loved him. RIP to Talbot. I will miss you.:guilty::sad2:

It is getting weirder. I am left trying to guess what the crew at Hot Shot's are. I am guessing they are "werewolves" of Russell? Maybe not?

I think they are shifters, which have nothing to do with Russell. They aren't into V.

Plus, the way Sam went off on the father. . .

As for Talbot in that glass urn:

The whole Tara thing suddenly turned in another direction. :(

I thought it was great how Jason was able to kill Franklin. Bye! Bye! :wave2: I think Franklin was brought back to show Jason is not always so dumb and that he will be able to handle the Hot Shot stuff.

I like Jesus this week. It's nice seeing Lafayette smile. I like how patient and gentle Jesus is with Lafayette's mama. He certainly knows how to handle her.

In the books it tells "what" the crew at Hotshot are but I am interested to see if they have a new twist to this as the books and show are quite different!

Loved Russel.....knew he was a loaded gun but didn't expect that at all :scared1: I agree too funny when he said so calmly "now the weather...Tiffany?" :lmao:

I'm having "character overload" as they have introduced sooo many new characters/storylines so far this season that it is almost too confusing!

This all has left me wondering what Crystal is. Oh, and that new woman at Merlotte's who comforted Tara. I think they are the same "species" but none of them are vampires shifters or werewolves. I think they MIGHT be whatever Sookie is, but maybe not, they could be a whole new type of "creature" we haven't seen before.

Just curious...:confused3
So those of you who are wondering what Crystal and the ones living at Hotshot are, have you not read the books or do you just think they may change the TV storyline so its not the same as the books?

The ending was wonderful! Im just sick of them prolonging the Sookie is a doormat thing she should write Welcome across her forehead already!

Just curious...:confused3

No, we have not read the books.
<Edited>
PLEASE put BOOK PLOT SPOILERS in White Font, :)
so some of us may skip reading it if we want.

I know spoilers get discussed all the time in this thread, but usually it's about characters we haven't met yet, or stuff so far in the future, we don't remember them, when the characters show up. Some of them are really vague, like, "I can't wait for Alcide to show up. Yummy." So we know, okay, this apparently is an important character. But, that's it.

People here mentioned Godric all the time. But, they let those of us who have not read the books experience his death without spoiling for us. And I thank them for that.

A book spoiler about anything that might be what happens in the TV series - with only 3 episodes to the Finale is bad form.

Please WHITE OUT the fonts if you want to discuss it with other book readers. And put a book Spoiler Warning with it, so people know to stay away, and others will White Out their responses.

NO BOOK SPOILERS, PLEASE.

At least WHITE OUT the fonts if you want to discuss it with other book readers. And put a book Spoiler Warning with it, so people know to stay away, and others will White Out their responses.

Maybe the title of the thread should be editted to No book spoilers? I feel bad Ive kinda said some book stuff in the past Im sorry if I may have ruined anything. I have been intentionally avoiding the hot shot stuff from the book because i for sure gathered people didnt want that ruined:)

No, as I've said, people do discuss the books. Either after an episode, or about something vague enough, like Sookie being a fairy, still means nothing. :confused3 It's like, "So?" We knew she was different, but her being a fairy doesn't mean much right now, except that everyone wants her.

People mentioned last week that they are glad this Holly person finally showed up. So, I paid attention to her this week. I would have overlooked her as just being the new waitress at Merlottes. But, those of us who haven't read the books, still don't know anything about her, other than, OK, keep an eye on her.

Some of us who don't read vampire stuff at all, need clarification on details, so we ask. :teacher: People tell us how it is in the books, which may or may not be the same. Like, last week I asked if a Maker can feel everything his child feels. That helped clarify Eric & Pam's relationship, and Russell & Talbot's, but didn't give anything away about any upcoming plots.

Then, some stuff is way different from the books, so after an episode, people talk about that.

But, it sounds like this Hot Shot stuff and what they are is going to be intrinsic to the PLOT for the finale for Jason. If we still had 8 episodes to go, it might be different.

Does that clear up what I mean, at all? :scratchin I think there is a difference in book spoilers which are details about people or vampires or weres, versus possible PLOT spoilers.

That does! :) I just don't want to give away anything ... I hate having things spoiled haha thats all!!!

Though really like many have said the tv series and books are very apples and oranges

:lmao: Well, in my case, the story of Godric on True Blood was SOOO different from the book, it was a big surprise to me. I mean, I knew in the book he met the sun but that was about the only similarity between book Godric and True Blood Godric. I wasn't sad that he died in the book because he was not a very likeable character but he did redeem himself a bit.

I think that the series is so different from the books as a whole that it's not easy to see where the series is going. As with Godric, the whole Hotshot thing is so different that I have no clue what they're up to. Yeah, and I'm still irritated about the Calvin Norris character being a bad guy. :rotfl:

Loved this episode. Russell is such a loose cannon--he shocked me with the staking. He's so bad and yet wacky at the same time.

And goodbye, Franklin! You were a psychopath but I really liked you.

Just curious...:confused3

I have not read the books and I will not until the series is cancelled. I would not be able to watch True Blood and enjoy it if I already read the books. I know me.;)

I see what Imzadi is saying about "plot spoilers" and now it really has my mind going as to what they "are" in Hot Shots. I have to think about my list of supernaturals. As long as they are not "angels", I am good.

They did the sniffing thing and have superstrength, "crushed" the deputy so heavy, hmmmm.....have to think.

I wish Eric was in the shower instead of Bill.

Sookie is so strong in the books and so weak in the series. She needs to grow a spine.

I am still hoping that last week's discussion between Sookie and Tara was foreshadowing that Sookie will hook up with Eric. She made a comment about liking the dangerous side of Bill. Who is more dangerous than Eric? Well, Russell, but not in a sexy way. :)

Was Russell holding the anchorman's heart or spine? I think it was his spine. That was quite an interesting scene.

I hope the cliffhanger for this season involves Jason and Hot Shot. I can't wait to see where they take that story.

Spine! because he calls them spineless then tosses it :)

Just wanted to say that I apologize if I spoiled anything for anyone!

Honestly, I agree with PP's who said that the books so far are so different from the series that it feels like nothing is a spoiler. Seasons 2 and 3 so far have pretty much included the same characters in name, but the story lines are almost 100% different. Bill goes missing and Lorena get's staked and that's pretty much the end of the similarities.

Part of me hates that it's so different only because there are some things that happen in the book that I would love to see acted out (hello, shower scene from book 4!) but it's already so different that I have a hard time seeing how they could get back on track.

The thing is that the books are told from Sookie's point of view, so you never know what is going on in the lives of Jason, Tara, Sam, etc, unless Sookie comes into contact with them. So far, the only one who has a storyline similar to the one in the books is Tara but even that is stretching it.

Either way, I was satisfied with last nights episode! The death of Franklin was a little anticlimactic, but I liked it anyway.

Best line of the night:
"You look like ****!"
"Well I feel fantastic...."
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

In case I haven't mentioned it lately.... I heart Eric! :lovestruc

And I did really like that scene with him and Pam.

Russell was hilarious last night, from carrying his goo, to riping the spine out of the newscaster, to saying we will eat you, to "and now the weather, Tiffany" LMAO!!!!

Great ending!!! For once I'm okay with it being super different from the book and I'm actually really interested to see how it all plays out.

I'm hoping for an Eric/Sookie kiss before the season is over.

I can't believe they introduced Hunter already. Shouldn't they be saving some of the good stuff??

Which character last night was Hunter? I missed the name.

The end of the episode with Russell on the news!:scared1:

Did love when he said: and now, the weather. Tiffany?! I love Russel. So unpredictable!

Russell is so over the top, I love it!. "We do not want to be your equals. We want to eat you" :lmao:

That was great.:lmao:

I'm with Imzadi on this. I read the first book, but then decided to stop when everyone was saying how far the series was straying from the books. I believe the Hot Shots crew and what they are was mentioned before, but that doesn't mean anything to me. But, if talking about them gives away a major plot point for the season, then I would be sorry to know it.

I don't know about you guys, but I am totally loving this new season! It's so unpredictable!!!:yay:
