"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I thought that Holly was supposed to be young and beautiful, too. This Holly didn't fit that criteria especially since she's canoodling with Jason in the latest books. Yes, she also had a young child in the books. Maybe Holly is going to "blossom" as the series continues.

I hope it means that Amelia will be introduced to the series. I can't wait to see her interaction with Bob. :rotfl2:

Holly is actually engaged to Hoyt, and someone named Michele is canoodling with Jason:)I always thought Holly was kind of goth/punk as she had vibrant coloured hair and wore crazy plaid shorts etc.

Daniele has 2 kids but I forgot what Daniele technically looks like (I have my own images of course but ) This Holly seems more like Blonde Arlene haha.

I hope Arlene stays as she is and doesn't follow the route of book Arlene.

But more or less I'm going to say Alan Ball is using creative licensing to do whatever he wants with Eric's Hair.

But Ellie1970 has a point, they're not sticking with the mythology they're creating in True Blood. If Jessica is a perpetual virgin because she was when she became a vampire, then it seems as though everything about a vampire should stay the same--including their hair length.

I'm so not a fan of short hair Eric, btw.

I don't know how true this is, but I "heard" that Alexander Skarsgaard (or however you spell his name) was getting frustrated with the wig he had to wear to be "long hair Eric". I guess, maybe, Alan Ball wanted the actor to be happy, so he just twisted the mythology a bit to make the actor happy. It would make sense.

I too think this is the case. And thank goodness because I never thought Eric was even remotely attractive until they cut his hair. Now....hubba hubba! Although I'm still on team Bill.

Have you read the books?

When you've been picturing Eric with long hair (longer than what it originally was) it's hard not to want him to have long hair. Eric from the books just exudes sexiness.

No. I never really had any interest. I haven't ever really cared about Vampire stuff. But, we missed Dexter and we have friends who watch true blood so we caught up and joined in, and we really really like it. I just think Alexander Skarsgård looks a lot better with short hair. :lovestruc

So here's my take on the last episode.

- Sookie and Bill: I think the "dossier" is still hanging out there and will come back up later and then Bill will be out for good. That's the real reason they broke up in the book, not because of Lorena.
- Tara: I think Franklin is still alive and will come back for Tara. I love his craziness though.
-Jason: I hate this storyline with Crystal. I hated it in the book as well. I really wasn't a Calvin fan but you could like him in the books but no way in the series.
- Holly: Totally different than the books (I remember her punk/goth and really young as well). I do love Amelia's character so I hope they do introduce her. Guess the witches are in the story now.
- Talbet: I liked him but he was collateral damage.
- Debbie Pelt: If you read the books, then you know she will be back.
- Eric: :lovestruc He is just yummy! Let's see how he deals with Russell.

I think there are only 4 episodes left. What am I going to do then??:guilty:

I'm all for the books, but the one thing I like about the show that is different from the books is short haired Eric! (though I agree long hair fits with the whole Viking character).

Alexander Skarsgard is attractive with any length hair, but even more so with short hair :lovestruc

Holly is somewhat what I pictured from the books (way more than the person they cast as Claudine!)

If you gals are paying attention to Alexander's hair, you are looking at the wrong places! :magnify:

See some of my previous posts involving him ;) Besides when he is fully clothed the hair is much more noticeable. I personally just think he should be naked all the time every episode. I'd totally pay even more money for HBO :lmao:

I second your motion.

I have a question that I've been wanting to ask since Season 2 when Eric got a make-over with his hair...his hair in Season 1 and first part of Season 2 was longer, but Pam cut it and slicked it back. It stayed cut. The show has de-mythed a lot of vampire myths (garlic, mirrors, holy water) but the one thing that has stayed true to myth is however they were when turned, is how they'd stay. Jessica's virginity "reinstates" itself (for lack of a better way to put it) but Eric's hair stayed short. How is that? Plus it's a lot darker than it's usually been. I thought initially it was just a wet-but is actually darker.
Not anything big to have answered, but little things I've noticed :-)

Oh and I hope they do more with Pam-I like her interactions with Sookie in the book.

I wondered the same thing about his hair....maybe if you are of a certain age, any changes you make stay that way? Either way, it would be nice if they at least explained it. Especially since, in addition to Jessica's problem, Bill made a point of telling Sookie in season 1 that "thankfully he has just shaved" because you stay as you are when you were turned.

I'm so not a fan of short hair Eric, btw.

:scared1:

Eric scared me in the first season! That hair was too much for me. And when I picture him in the books, I picture Alex, not a line-backer size viking with waist length hair like he is supposed to be. When he asks Sookie to braid his hair at one point in the books, my first though was "oh barf!" :rotfl2: I am SOO glad Alan Ball took the liberties he did and let the long hair go. It wasn't as long as it was supposed to be anyway so I'm glad they let it go!

I don't know...that blue sweater.... and last season when he was rockin that suit in a couple episodes...

Im still picturing that first episode of Alexander Skarsgard with Yvetta...not Yvetta though just Alex haha.

Did you see Mama Mia? The guy who plays Bill is Alexander Skarsgard's dad.

I don't know I want to see Claude already!!!!!!! And I wish I had the moves of Lafayette the way he does that over the shoulder swagger and "B**tch please* haha.
His mother amuses me... JESUS!!!!

Do you guys think they will pull out the Hunter, Remy plot or the convention in All Together Dead (my favourite book!)

OMG yes! That first episode.... :lovestruc

Stellan Skarsgard is also Bootstrap Bill in POTC 2 & 3.

I heart Lafayette! And his and Eric's interactions are great! "Let's go, RuPaul" :rotfl2:

Great ending!!! For once I'm okay with it being super different from the book and I'm actually really interested to see how it all plays out.

I'm hoping for an Eric/Sookie kiss before the season is over.

I can't believe they introduced Hunter already. Shouldn't they be saving some of the good stuff??

I thought it was an okay episode but there are still a lot of things about this season that are really irritating me.

I hate Sam's storyline, and the Hot Shot stuff is just so wrong somehow!

Franklin's death seemed so... sudden. Why bother to bring him back at all?

And yeah, Hunter shouldn't be in the picture for another few seasons at least! ;)

The end of the episode with Russell on the news!:scared1:

Did love when he said: and now, the weather. Tiffany?! I love Russel. So unpredictable!
