"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

War zones would have to be a great cover for vampires. All you can eat with no questions asked.

Did people stay and watch Snoop Dog's music video about Sookie afterwards? It was funny. :lmao:

It couldn't have been Eric. He hadn't been invited into the house yet.

I'm not sure of the vampire lore in this series, but in the Vampire Diaries, if a human is not a member of the household, a vampire is not bound by the invitation rule.

I missed nekkid Eric last. Sam is a poor substitute for Eric in that department.

You missed seeing THIS?!? popcorn:: :faint:

So, who took the body from the sleeping space? I was thinking maybe Pam, but now I think it was Hoyt and I know how he disposed of the body (from the previews for next week).

I think it was Pam, at Eric's orders. They pretty much know what goes on around the area. They have to keep up on stuff like humans disappearing that could get vamps into trouble. Since Jessica had asked Pam about what to do with dead bodies, if she & Eric heard how one guy mysteriously disappeared, they might suspect she had something to do with it.

I'm not following this? Whose house do you think that person/thing was in? I was thinking the papers were either in Gran's/Sookie's house, hidden in a drawer she didn't know about. Or it was in Bill's house. That's his old family home.

If it was Sookie's house, wouldn't a vamp have to wait to be invited in? So whatever was looking at the papers was either human or werewolf? :scratchin

I just found this, announced today!

HBO renews 'True Blood' for fourth season :dance3: :yay: :cool1: :cheer2:

Monday, June 21, 2010

No surprise, but great news nonetheless: HBO has renewed "True Blood" for a fourth season.

“The new season of 'True Blood' is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics,” said HBO programming prez Michael Lombardo. “We’re looking forward to more chills from Alan Ball and his gifted team next year."

“I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew,” said creator Alan Ball. “This is the most fun I have ever had.”

Though ratings for Sunday's episode are not yet available, last week's third season premiere drew 5.1 million viewers -- up 38% from season two's opener.

Season four will debut next summer. HBO has ordered 12 episodes, same as this year.

I'm fairly certain that the drawers and papers were in Bill's house, but I plan on watching the show again (to see more Eric:lovestruc).

From my understanding in watching Vampire Diaries this past season, when a building it not the home of a human, the vampires are able to enter without being invited in. That is that even if it is a home, but it is a residence of a vampire, the vampire can enter without permission from the home owner.

Oh, I really loved this episode. Loved the way they made fun of the way Bill says, "Sookie." :lmao: I find him so annoying.

The vampire with Tara is Franklin Mott who was pretty controlling and creepy if I remember correctly from the books.

So, who found the folder about Sookie in Bill's house? Was it Eric or Franklin? Or perhaps was it Alcide? Do you think the wolf in Sookie's house is Alcide? I'm hoping that they follow the books in that Sookie finds out why Bill started dating her--it seems as though they're headed that way what with Russell's comments and the folder.

And I'm going to be a bit disappointed if Calvin Norris is a bad guy. I had an issue with him screaming obscenities at the meth lab bust in Hotshot. ;)

Oh, and Alfre Woodard did a great job as Lafayette's mom.

The person who found the file was wearing pointed shoes. I don't remember his name, but the guy talking to Tara at the bar had those same shoes. He was a vampire, wasn't he?

Whoever has read the book, can you spoil it for me and tell me the reason why Bill started dating Sookie?

So do you think the guy is "really" dead? I didn't see the previews for next week, so I don't know...I was originally thinking he might turn. I thought Jessica tried to get some of her blood into him and I also thought that it took three days before the "victim" would wake. Do you think this is possible, or am I reading it all wrong?

Here's why Bill started dating Sookie (spoiler font):

Hadley (Sookie's cousin) was the Queen's partner and she was telling the Queen about Sookie's ability. When the Queen learned that Bill had the family home in Bon Temps, she sent Bill there to seduce Sookie. She thought that her ability would be helpful to her.

The vamp rummaging through the files was the same one who was talking to Tara and held the guys for her to beat the %$#* outta them. A previous poster mentioned the shoes, and that's what stood out to me too. I also think he's the one that took the dead body in Jessica's hidey whole. A preview at the end showed him asking Jessica about something missing. I'm not sure, however, what his name is.

I don't think that a body turning into a vampire would stink like the trucker's rotting corpse. I had thought that Pam had helped Jessica to dispose of the carcass, but now that you mention it, MK2, I agree with you, it was probably Franklin who did it for his own best intentions.

Eric & Godric weren't working for the SS. They were just costumes to them. They did it to hide themselves and fit in. They had their own wolf finding agenda.

I realized that they weren't working for the SS after they began talking. But those first moments, seeing them in the uniform, were creepy as all get out before I realized what was going on.

I assumed it was Bill's house due to the fact that it seemed to be in a study or library. It didn't look like Sookie's house to me. If it were Bill's house, I don't think a vampire needs an invitation to enter another vampire's home, do they?

I also assumed that the folder was sort of a dossier on Sookie that Bill received--especially since Russell made mention of Bill returning to Bon Temps at Sophie Anne's request.

I have to say that it is a sticky subject, since the invitation is actually based on home ownership/residence of the house.

Technically if it was Bill's house and he owned it, then the invitation rule would apply.

Now the writers can throw out that rule and say that vampires are free to come and go in each other's homes.

I would say since True Blood is using "invitation rules" in their storyline, it is a sticking point if they ignore the rule and make something up. They better address it and make it good, since it will shape the story some way or another.

Maybe they referenced it somewhere? I will have to do some digging.;)

A phrase used by both the magister and Godric in the past two episodes "The blood is sacred." This makes me wonder what Godric would think of Eric selling V.

Ok, I have read all the books but the last one. Haven't had the extra cash to pay for the hard cover yet. Big fan, and I got hooked on the books because of the show. And I get how things have to change...but...
Why did they re-write the shifter mythology? According to the books, a shifter can only be born of two pure shifters...and it can only be the first born child of the two shifters. And yet Sam's real dad, not a shifter. And Sam's brother...a shifter!
Now at first glance, this may seem like small stuff...but this actually becomes important in future story lines.
