When they showed next weeks preview at the end, if you look carefully they do show a quick clip of the Queen (Evan Rachel Wood) I hit the slo-mo button on my Tivo to see everything better and I saw her!

I think what we saw was the end of the Queen's dinner.

To hear Lafayette's comment last night: "Jesus Christ and I decided to see other people, but we still talk once in a while." made me even happier that they'd decided to keep him in as a character.

As a book reader, I'm okay with the series (moreso with Season 2 than Season 1 ...) It's just like more stories about the same characters to me.

Hopefully, they kill Maryanne this season and Sookie can start cleaning all the scrub brush and meat out of her house!

I just watched The Wrestler- anything that chick is in is top notch! You can't go wrong with an ERW movie!! I still cannot belive she dated Marilyn Manson! That makes her just a tad bit cooler in my book

The scene with Jason playing the god was hysterical. Sam: "Smite me." Jason: "What?" Very funny.

I thought the Queen's house looked just like it was supposed to from the books, from what I recall.

I haven't heard of it before now.

It seems like it is geared more towards the kids though. I am not a fan of Twilight either.

I Googled it for some info and as soon as I saw this, I was a little disappointed...........

With vampires all the rage with the kids these days, it makes sense for The CW to get into the vampire romance business.

Seems the younger generation has no idea what vamps are really about

Oh I just remembered something. So does Bill have a Wii? Since Mrs. Fortenberry was playing with it last night!

I can imagine Bill playing Wii Tennis and what his Mii would look like. LOL

I think I have seen the books for sale. I did not know it was a teen series. Probably like "Buffy" or "Angel". I will admit I did watch Buffy but not Angel.

I will give it a shot. I already watch "Supernatural" and "Smallville".

I also noticed tonight's show ended sooner than usual.

Thank GOD because that was one of the most boring shows I've ever seen. Am I the only one who thought it was truly awful? The ONLY highlight was Jason/Sam/Andy.

Someone asked if Sookie did that to Maryanne in the books. The answer is no. It was a very different story (and MUCH more interesting). Maryanne and Sam were actually lovers in the book and she just popped up here and there, but in a significant way. Her story in the book was well done, and the "climax" featured Eric in the pink spandex . Eggs didn't live with Maryanne, but she did have the pig.

Really, I'm over the show being different from the books, but if you're going to change something just for the sake of being different, at least make it better.

Oh and several weeks ago someone posted a trailer here for the end of the season. It's the same trailer that ran after a recent episode (maybe 3 weeks ago...right before the vamps took over the LOD). Anyway, there was a shot of Queen Sophie in there. It looked like she'd just fed or made a kill. She looks up from it toward the camera.
