"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I found a website that said the queen is an old french style vamp. That she is also telepathic with her "children" and that she is also Sookie's cousin Hadley's maker.....have we seen cousin Hadley? I don't remember.
All that is true for the books, did they say that about True Blood too?

You know, Evan Rachel Wood looks a bit older than I pictured Sophie Anne. Didn't the books refer to her as "the world's most dangerous teenager?"

I think most of the vampires have been cast as older. Wasn't Eric in the books turned when he was under 25? Godric/Godfrey was young teen rather than later teens, and Pam was early 20's.

They did that with Harry Potter as well. Snape in the books was 40-something rather than 60-something.

It seems they are stretching out the season. Maybe making the last two episodes into three? That was quite a short episode last night.

Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate the Mariann storyline. Enough already.

At least the previews look promising, but the next episode might be another lead-in to the season finale.

I think she was 15 and Godric was 16. She was definitely younger.

I have never seen her act in anything but I like her look for the queen.

Does anyone remember her in the TV series "Once and Again" with Sela Ward? I used to love that show.

If you like Beatles music- she is in an interesting movie/musical called Across the Universe. The music is really good.

I have seen most of her movies, some of them are not really "mainstream" but good. I guess they would be considered, Indie films.

But her mainstream movies include, of course, The Wrestler, Running with Scissors and The Upside of Anger.

...................:rolleyes1 I am just a small fan, can ya tell:laughing:

I totally remember Once and Again, loved it!. And I also watched My So Called Life which was on either at the same time or before, can't remember. Those were great shows with great tunes!!

Well I'm going to this! Oh Yeah. pixiedust::drinking1:jester:

The characters look a lot younger in that artwork. I haven't read the books yet, just bought the 1st one as an e-book about 5 minutes ago and getting ready to start on that, but for the show I like the characters not being teens.

I liked this weeks episode but got tired of all the people with the demon eyes. Hoyt's mom playing wii was too funny!

Well, if I read the books the show will be irritating. Do you find that to be the case or is it easily seperated?

I read the books this summer, only up to book 6 when I started watching this season of True Blood. At first I thought it was really irritating that they changed so much, but now I just

For those of you that have read all the books, do you have a favorite one? Which one is it?

Dead to the World... I tend to like the Eric-centric ones more.. and I've really never liked Bill that much.

Very little Eric!

Did anyone watch the short clip after the show was over?

No!! I was annoyed that the show was over so early. Apparently the 10 minute clip was available to On Demand customers and I wasn't able to see it. Anyone have a link to it from anywhere that I could see it?

I really liked this week's show. I'm in the minority, but I like the Maryann storyline (as long as it finishes this season). I love the lady who plays her (who was also in the show Homicide: Life on the Streets.. another excellent show). She's a great Big Bad for this season.

Speaking of Buffy references, when Sookie, Bill, and Jason got to Bill's house, and Hoyt and Jessica were there for a moment it reminded me alot of Buffy (I loved that show... well until the college years). It was very reminescent of the Scooby Gang. True Blood kind of reminds me of an HBO version of Buffy sometimes (and there is nothing wrong with that... a very classic TV show). Totally different in some respects, but some themes are very similar, and this season's plotlines have been very good.

The parts with Jason as the "God" were very funny. I'm very glad they kept Lafayette around, he's very good in the show. I was kind of (extra) annoyed at Bill, he seemed a bit too slow on the uptake about what Maryann was. And next week's episode looks very good! I have ideas as to why Sookie was able to shock Maryann, but it involves stuff from the books so I'll put in white below this. So if you don't want book spoilers, avoid the next part.

[ETA: Oh and I just was reading over on Entertainment Weekly (I love their show recaps/reviews) and I saw that today was Alexander Scarsgard's birthday. Link to an article thanking Sweden for that among other things.]

(Watch quoting my post because you might get spoiled by accident.. just don't want to ruin anything for anyone)
SPOILER: I think its because Sookie has fairy blood in her. Not sure how well this will go with the TV version, but I liked this in the book. It helped explain what makes supes extra attracted to her.

Jason was a riot tonight. :lmao:

Jason is my hero! I loved the Rambo bit in the bar too.

She was also in Thirteen with Holly Hunter. And I love Across The Universe. She does a nice job with some of The Beatles balads like If I Fell and Because

I just have to say that I love the band name, "Kinky Tuscaderos" :lmao: Looks like a fun time!

Sounds too much like a Happy Days reference :happytv:

You know - as crazy as this may sound, I'm upset that we'll be in Disney during this weeks episode! LOL I will have to wait until I get home to watch it on DVR!
