"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

For what Jessica had the poor man under her "glamor" shout out in the hotel -- I saw it on another forum (maybe the ones at HBO for True Blood) -- it wouldn't be printable here on the Disney forum. ;) Just trash talk about some girl she went to church with.

Ick I can just see him giving her the eyebrow and calling her babe. Barf.

ick...me too....I don't like The Rock...I think he's creepy...but he could work for Quinn cause that "look" that is desribed for Quinn just doesn't appeal to me at all...but as far as build, I think he could pull it off.

I agree that there is something about bad guys but I really don't see Eric as a bad guy.

Eric is much more charming in the book--dangerous and always alert as to what will benefit him and his business, but charming.

Bad, dangerous- it's all good!:thumbsup2:banana: especially when they look like Eric! Hubba- hubba!

Bill is.....sweet, Eric is just not that...he is different. Sweet is good, but dangerous is fun!:dance3:

Can you describe Quinn to me? I did not read the books, but I want to picture someone who would resemble who you are talking about.:cutie:

I think a lot of guys could pull off the look if you shave their heads. The Rock is too cheesy for that role. It has to be someone sexy and dangerous and he doesn't do that for me.

Charlaine Harris says she thought of Vin Diesel when she created this character. He's very tall (like 6' 6" I think), bald, very muscular, very sexy, strong, confident, lethal. He is special but I don't want to ruin it.

Wouldn't The Rock and Christian Kane be way too old to play Quinn and Alcide? Wasn't Alcide in his mid 20's or am I remembering wrong?

While I like him, I just don't see him as Quinn. Neither do I see the Rock, but he's closer physically to what Quinn should be in my mind. I've always pictured him as racially ambiguous (like Vin Diesel). I agree that he has to be sexy and dangerous. Vin is a little too stiff in my opinion.

I just can't think of a single person for Alcide, though I'm not too up on these new whipper snappers (do I sound 65 or what).

Your description of Bill vs. Eric made me remember a BF I had in college. He was Bill... without the fangs. He was the sweetest guy ever. I couldn't stand going out with him. He was the kind of guy who never had an opinion that wasn't mine. I had to make all the decisions about where we'd go and what we'd do. I wanted a BF with more of an edge and opinion. Eric fits that description, especially since he can be so sweet to Sookie but is a fierce and determined business man... not unlike my DH.

Funny- we should all start out with the bad boys and then we would appreciate the sweet ones that much more;)

I always got the feeling that Alcide was in his mid 30s...I don't know that she ever outwardly mentions it in the books, but I kept getting the feeling that he was older than Sookie...

Now I LOVE Timothy Olyphant...be he is way to pretty to be Quinn...lol

What gometros is talking about is some Sharp brand TVs automatically close caption just when you hit the mute button.

Actually, this is controlled by my cable company, not the TV. It's when I use the cable remote to mute the sound and is in the cable settings. Besides, I have a Toshiba.

You mean an Alpha male? ;)

Hmm, I just got my new Sharp TV a couple months ago. It automatically muted and closed captioned when I turned it on. I assumed it was the TV. It never occurred to me that my other TV was so old, (20 years,) that it wasn't capable of getting all the cable signals. Dang! I was hoping someone here would be able to tell me how to turn off the CC when when I mute the TV. I thought maybe I missed some button programing feature. :happytv:

Found this on the HBO True Blood Message Board:

Morning folks,
