"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

"True Blood" love at work! :lmao:

I was in the restroom and heard some women in there talking about how much they liked Eric -- how much they liked hearing him talk, etc. I thought it was someone at work they'd been in a meeting with ... then I heard them mention Lafayette. :lmao:

Similar thing happened to me today. I heard two co-workers talking about Lafayette and thought they were talking about True Blood, so I immediately piped up and said "I love that show! Eric is my favorite, but Lafayette is hilarious." They both just gave me a blank look like I was crazy and it turns out they were talking about the town.

For those who have read the books, did you notice they made reference to something that does happen to Jason later in the books? ... I hope that means that will be doing something with that story.

Wow - I didn't pick up on that at all! That sounds like you might be on to something...as an aside, I think the actor they have as Sheriff Dearborn would have made a perfect Calvin Norris. He already plays the quirky, kinda "off" character in many productions and I can just picture him as Calvin if they go in that direction...oh well.

I find myself rewatching many of Eric's scenes - I really hope they eventually put his and Sookie's interesting relationship into the storyline.

:sunny:

I rewatched the last episode this morning. I did notice that at the beginning of the scene in the bar with Eric & Bill, Eric said something along the lines of, "It takes a real man to admit he can't protect his human, Bill." So--now I'm wondering if Bill was asking Eric to protect Sookie.

I also missed this the first time I watched--when Sookie & Bill were checking into the hotel, they were told that their room had no bed. Bill looked at Sookie and said, "Eric." :rotfl:

That's funny. I'm from Lafayette, *Indiana* -- so my ears usually perk up when I hear "Lafayette" anyway!

I'm thinking someone younger -- and a little better looking if he's interested in Sookie. ;) I was thinking along the lines of Eric Roberts -- a little older and leathered ...

Isn't he the guy that used to say "This is ma brother Darryl and ma other brother Darryl." On the Newhart show??

Yes, that's William Sanderson. He was also the mayor on Deadwood, but as far as I'm concerned he will always be Larry to me and every time I see him on the screen my brain has trouble making the transition to the character he is supposed to be playing :lmao:

Yes he was Larry. He also showed up on LOST last season. I think he's a terrific actor!

Who was he on Lost? I don't recall that. As whom? Oh right (thank goodness for IMDB), he was Oldham, one of th Dharma Initative guys.

Right, he's the one Sawyer told Sayid "he's our you" :teeth:

I meant to ask earlier...

I couldn't understand what Jessica had Leon yell out at the hotel. If anyone understood it will you PM me please? I watched that part over and over and I never could understand him.

I need to rewatch the episode, but I think she was just testing her ability to glamour him and see how far she could take it.

Right but I'm trying to figure out what he said. My SIL and I both thought we understood 1-2 words at the end and if so it's, ummm...interesting. I can't post it here though :). I don't want to get the thread shut down.

Is MaryAnn a "demon" or something else?

BTW, I love this show. My wife, loved last season, but says she is losing her love for it this season.

PSA: Don't boil eggs when you are watching True Blood. You will NOT leave the TV in time to turn off the stove, even when you hear the buzzer go off.

I never knew how hard boiled an egg could get until now. These eggs could be thrown as weapons at someone. :scared1: :lmao:

I hate that. You know what they said is not really important, but you would have liked to hear what they said. :listen:

I think if you were looking for the signs that Eric was interested in Sookie, you'd see them. They're subtle but I've noticed them. And I'm hoping Sookie does end up ditching Bill.;)

I thought he was at times interested, but then it seemed not. I hope so, it would be really interesting. ;) If Sookie ditches Bill who would you have in mind? I might agree if someone else better comes along but I don't see that right now. I do like Sam but I don't know. I kind of like the idea of Eric wanting her but not quite getting her, he's too bad a character. It is a great show. :thumbsup2

The beauty of Eric and Sookie is that he is a different man when he's with Sookie. He can still be a butthead, but he also shows a tender side. That is what made him so absolutely hot for me in the books.

If they hold true to Sookie's love interests in the books, there is much better.. and sexier to come after/during Bill/Eric. And that's all I have to say about that... for now.:banana::banana:

For those that have read the books:

What actor do you think would make a good Alcide? Quinn?

We don't have to post spoilers about them so others don't get upset, but we can discuss who would fit the bill.

I agree about Eric and Sookie...but totally disagree about the others in between...I really dont' like Sookie and Alcide/Quinn:confused3:scared:

Alcide, I can't think of anyone ooh wait anyone know about horror movies and know the actor/makeup/effects guy Tom Savini??? He would be a the only person I can think of off hand who kind of fits the description. ...but for Quinn...considering that Charlaine Harris said she pictured Vin Diesel when writing him, he's the only actor I can think of...though he is a HORRIBLE actor and would therefore be a horrible choice for the show if they chose to bring Quinn in.
