maxiesmom said:How do you like the Rarotonga longhouse? I am going to the Poly for the first time this year, and I will be solo, so I wanted to be close to the Great Ceremonial House. So I requested Rarotonga, thrid floor. Is that good?

Of course it was my first visit to WDW and I was just thrilled with the Poly and the available transportation. I hope you have a FABULOUS time! We certainly did!
Watching Wishes from the beach area was very romantic (if not too many other watchers) and you will love the pathways - fun to walk and explore.
Kona was wonderful to eat at - my DH and I loved it enough to eat there twice! Ohana's had great atmosphere, good food - but I didn't like the meat. Captain Cooks was fine for counter service and snacks. We didn't go to the Luau but I bet that is great if you are planning that.
PS: Agree about Tikiman's site!![]()

We are going to WDW form 12/9-12/15 (if nothing comes up). I just booked 2 nights of our 6-night trip at the POLY. I requested Fiji, 3rd floor. Tikiman's site was very helpful in my decision. . .THANKS STEVE!!
Has anyone here ever stayed in that longhouse? Just like to get some opinions.
I am SO excited about our first POLY stay.
Happy planning, all!

Aloha
Steve
Well once every room is done and it is based on view and location I would have my list as #1 and #2 for garden views as this:aesalsa said:![]()
What would be 1st and 2nd?

I have all of our ADR's done, and I've read that it is not really "wise" to invest in concierge just for the food/drinks...which would be one of my main reasons for upgrading. We're going at a slower time of year, so the special check-in, while nice, isn't a necessity. Can anyone confirm my decisions??? If not, I guess we'll be upgrading! LOL! Thanks!
