I do love storybook dining, I just went there a few days ago and it was a fantastic meal. But our upcoming trip we will be at bay lake tower so I was thinking we could change it up and go there instead. Was thinking for dinner. Last time I went to chef Mickey was with my first daughter when she was a baby and it wasn’t a buffet so I know very different. Also heard it’s awful food. If we go right at 5 would it be better? It would be convenient with location and my kids love the fab 5. We currently have storybook dining booked

We have done both as well and much prefer Story Book dining. Perhaps it comes down to whether you prefer a buffet? There are probably more kid-friendly foods at Chef Mickey’s than Story Book. But the food is not great IMO and it’s so loud there. I will say that the noise level didn’t much bother me when I was younger ;) and the atrium-like environment doesn’t help with that. I think it’s a better bet at breakfast (though no quieter). The kiddos love it though….and we have some great photos to prove it. :goodvibes

I think I enjoy Story Book more because the environment is more controlled (used to be a wonderful restaurant :worried:), so it’s not quite as frenzied. I also prefer it to a buffet for this type of meal (although I have nothing against buffets). I think the food is better because the menu is a little more “ambitious”. And Dopey is one of my favorite characters!

Food is highly subjective, so don’t choose a place based solely on random people’s opinions.

My family is 100% team chef mickey. We like plain food, basically children's menu food. Chef Mickey checks all the boxes for us and we find the food good.

I’m sure the food at Storybook is great, but there’s no way my family would eat there with the menu the way it is now. Is the food at chef mickey some foodies paradise no but we find it pretty good. You don't go to a buffet looking for a life changing meal, is about basic food and choices.

Do you happen to remember what kid food they had for dinner? My kids love chicken fingers and pizza. The menu online is limited

They’re two different experiences to me. How old is your daughter and what characters does she like? Storybook definitely has better food and atmosphere. But with young kids I would probably go Chef Mickey’s. I know many people don’t like buffets, but I liked them when the kid were little because they could get a little bit of everything.
