Hi all!

Just a fly by post from me I'm afraid, just to say thanks to those who have PMd to say that their exchange packages have been sent.
GLT - I wouldn't have thought that a week late will be bad, just PM when you have sent out.

Thanks
Gems

Hey guys!

Quick post...DH is coming home tonight, but his flight from Atlanta is delayed and he'll probably have delays landing due to our icky weather. Hannah has a Girl Scout dance tonight, so I'll probably take Hayley and Carson out to dinner if it's not pouring too hard. Exciting evening last night - even though Carson had trouble going to sleep and I had to give him a second tiny bottle to get him calmed down, he went to sleep at around 10 and slept until....6:45!!!!!! A first!!!! I'm sure it won't be a normal every night thing yet, but it gives me hope - there is a light at the end of this sleep-depriving tunnel!

glt - I don't have one of those rain covers but I've looked at them at BabiesRUs before and maybe even Target - I'm thinking Eddie Bauer, but I'm not sure. We're getting your sleet/snow in a few hours - still rain now. Ick.

jill - have fun at the soccer tournaments - sounds like alot of running around trying to entertain John to me ;) ! I'm not looking forward to that part with Carson - I'm thinking about all the plays, concerts, ceremonies, games,etc...

tykes - have an awesome trip!!!

tasha - I hear you about the "Eating Season" - it's already started with the candy!!!

sl - sorry about the class - hope it all works out. I didn't mention the new picture - Lucas looks so grown up - such a cutie!

nucpharm - glad you're enjoying the baby! The name Cole always makes me think of Hayley's little 2-yr-old boyfriend from preschool long ago!

ginamarie - hope the closing went ok! Happy Anniversary!

BnB - congratulations on the DVC! How exciting!

zalansky - Happy Anniversary to you, too! Those brownies and cookies you're cooking are making me hungry!

fab - hope you enjoyed the beautiful day - if it's anything like ours yesterday, it was gorgeous! Watch out for what's coming, though - starting today, it's not getting out of the 40's for over a week...guess winter is here now.

bellacam - So happy that things are good for Aidan! Glad you're bp is doing ok with your rest!

Well, hello to all the wonderful mommies! Have a GREAT weekend!! I need to finish yet another load of laundry...all of the baskets are empty now - until DH gets home and the girls start flinging clothes around again anyway!

GLT and Dizagain--you are in my thoughts with your icky weather, and she says with a little chuckle under her breath--Glad I'm not there anymore! ;) But the weather sure is weird, you guys getting snow, sleet, rain, and it's 80 degrees here. Did we upset mother nature?????

Gems--my package will be going out a little late as well--I am headed to something called Holiday House here on the 17th where 100s of vendors get together to sell stuff for the holidays. So I plan on getting my buddy stuff there--I have a special ticket that gets me margaritas and snacks before shopping, so my buddy might end up with some interesting items! :rotfl:

Well, the babysitting continued to go well. matthew had a 3 hour nap which made things even easier. And then I'm supposed to have him 2 days a week, and this week and next I'll only have him one day--and she's paying me for both, like it was daycare! Kinda nice to have the extra money in my pocket, since I can't seem to make it to Walgreen's to finish my training.

I just talked to my mom and my dad decided that we should stick with tradition and have Thanksgiving at their house!! Yippee!!!!! Now I don't have to worry about cleaning the house and cooking. I'm just required to bring a side item and dessert. Easy enough--especially after getting the recipe booklet from Williams Sonoma yesterday!! Now just to head to the store! Have a great weekend all!

Hi friends~

I am so tired- I want to go lie down for a nap after I post, but I should exercise. The weather here is just so dreary, it's perfect napping weather. The rain just won't let up!

I didn't buy anything at the other mall today. Yay me. And they had stuff I wanted too, but it wasn't what I went there for, so I skipped it. :cheer2: My friend and her boys just left, Molly went down for her nap 20 minutes ago, so I have a breather.

Where to begin:

Exchange- I have a few things for my buddy; I think I should be ready to send out on the 19th- that was what I thought was the day from my PM. I went to Target yesterday to look for a few more little things, but all their Christmas stuff wasn't out yet, so I will try again next week.

Bellacam- GREAT news about Aidan not needing the surgery! :Pinkbounc I'm so glad for you, and that your BP is staying under control with the moderate bedrest.

BNB- CONGRATS on the BCV news! How thrilling that it's going ahead! I would totally be planning too, if I were you, even if it will be 08 til you can go. Wow, 40 years of trips to the Beach Club- what a treat!

GLT- I'm glad your neighbor is getting your DD for you. And that you were able to get the kids into the speech therapy. Definitely good to get them in early. Hope all is going ok with you! Oh, and try the One Step Ahead website for a stroller cover.

Jill- We have 4 soccer games left; I can't wait til it's done! I'm glad next semester won't quite be so hectic as this one was. I can't believe how Christmas is creeping up either. The mall we were at today had the wreathes and decorations hanging already, Christmas muzac in the stores- I was like, "Already?" I mean, I've got a good chunk of my shopping done, but I'm a freak- I don't expect the stores to be quite so decked out til Thanksgiving week.

Tasha- I am just now feeling 'glimmers' of libido after being off the Depo for 7 weeks now. My DH has been so bummed out the last 6 months of me either feeling sick from the Depo or having no interest in sex. Maybe an IUD or a diaphragm would work for you? I just think hormonal birth control sucks. I'm sorry your next term will be hectic....and that you are going through a touch of the baby blues in wanting another but the timing not quite being right. I'm sure the time for you and Scott to have another will be here before you know it!

SL- That classtime is a major bummer- I wouldn't be too happy about that, but on the otherhand, at least childcare would be taken care of, knowing your DH can hang with Lucas while you are at class.

Z- good for you for resisting the Gymbo. I have a hard time with the matching thing too- Gymbo makes it so easy and now I'm a little weird about it all matching. Now that I can't get the tights or socks for the one outfit I had a minute of ,"What am I going to do." And then I thought, "You stoop, Target has off white tights for 1/4 the price! It doesn't ALL need to be Gymboree!" I was excited for 2 seconds today cause the Gymbo had the cute matchy-matchy tights I wanted................but in 6-12 month size. Boo hoo.

I hope you have a good visit with your sister!

Happy Anniversary GM! :cloud9:

Tamie- I have a very hard time buying anything at Williams Sonoma. I love it though- just the whole vibe of the store is very 'me.' Or what I would like to be. I so want to go back for a package of that pumpkin bread mix, but I think that and the pumpkin butter frosting was $25! Ouch!

Hi Fab, Val, Ryan, Cabsmom, Alisa, Kim, Gems, Hillary, Justine and everyone else. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hi everyone! I only have a second to post since Aidan will only be preoccupied with Elmo's World for a few minutes. We had a great day in the City yesterday. We drove in and were very lucky to find a parking spot even though the garage said it was full. We got to ride the ferris wheel in Toys R Us. It is usually way too crowded to ride. The kids were thrilled. The day was just perfect. We are usually freezing to death when we go. We had lunch at Mars 2112. The food was pretty bad but the kids like the theming. I thought it looked run down since the last time we had been there. Then, we watched the skaters in Rockefeller Center for a while before we headed to American Girl Place. I bought Emmy a Kit doll at AG Place for her birthday. She had already brought Samantha with her so she was walking throught the City looking like a spoiled brat with 2 AG dolls. She wants the new one because her name is Emily but I already know my stepmother is supposed to buy her. Then, we stopped off for dessert and coffee and headed to the show. The show was great but I felt a little cheated. It seemed very short and they cut out at least 2 of the old dances I remember. There was one new dance that was okay. Alex was a riot. He was dancing in his chair. I never saw him so happy. I just felt like they had commercialized the show even more. They were selling popcorn and cotton candy for 7 and 10 dollars a pop respectively. I couldn't believe they were allowing cotton candy into Radio City Music Hall. It felt a little too much like one of those crappy ice skating shows for my taste. The show was nice but I'll spend my money somewhere else for a few years. IMO, the Nutcracker in Lincoln Center is a much better show and definitely worth the money. My other issue was the show ended so abruptly that everyone was checking the programs to see if that was it. No one realized it was finished!

On another note. I'm a glutton for punishment. I got the tickets for High School Musical today. Emily is just going to die when she sees them. She doesn't even know anything about the concert. I'm going to give them to her for Christmas. Between that and the puppy, she's going to have the best Christmas ever!

I have to say a big THANK YOU to Fabumouse!! I recieved my exchange package yesterday. There was an adorable soft Pooh bear pillow for Aidan as well as a Pooh Christmas shirt with Aidan's name on it (very cool :thumbsup2 ). Also, there was a beautiful Santa nightlight and a bottle of Godiva liquor! Thank you so much :thanks: !!

Good evening ladies!

Two posts from me in one day! ;) I totally forgot that we had a soccer party tonight at Chuck E Cheese or as we call it here.....the germ factory. :crazy2:  The girls had a blast and John was entertained by all the chaos that surrounded us.

dizagain - That is awesome that Carson slept through the night! I hope that the trend continues for you! :wizard: Sending warm thoughts your way that your dh is not too delayed in getting home tonight. I got a little chuckle out of your comment about your girls flinging their clothes around. I thought that my girls were the only ones who did that. ;) My laundry pile here is terrible and I can never seem to keep on top of it.

GLT - Gosh your weather sounds terrible! I'm glad that your neighbor was able to pick up your dd.

Robin - I'm glad that the Depo is wearing off for you. Speaking of libidos, I think I lost my libido when they did my hysterectomy. Either that or the stress of school has killed it. I'm hoping it is just stress b/c otherwise I'm in big trouble. Anyways, sorry if I gave out TMI. How is your eye doing?

DisKim - I'm glad that you had a wonderful time in NYC! We were there two years ago exactly and the girls drooled over everything in the AG store. What a bummer that the Spectacular was shorter too! I'm very behind the times on this, but is High School Musical going to be playing on Broadway only? Meagan is 'ga-ga' over that movie. What a great mom you are for getting Emmy the puppy and the tickets to HS Musical!

Nucpharm - That is great news about having Thanksgiving with your parents especially since you just had Matthew's birthday celebration! :thumbsup2 You should take a breather with Thanksgiving. Don't you have Emma's party coming up too?

Gems - I hope to get my exchange buddy finished up soon. Sorry that I am behind on this! BTW, how are you feeling? How's Shelby doing?

ETA: Cabmom - How was Great Wolf Lodge? Aren't you going back to work soon? Happy Birthday to Dean too! :bday: Isn't his 1st birthday on Tuesday?

Hi to everyone!! I hope that you all have a great weekend!!! :wave2:

Hi, yes Dean will be 1 on Tuesday!!! I can't believe how quick the time has gone!
I'm not returning to work until January 1st now. I've not been up to chatting much lately. I found out I have PPD, post partum depression. I'm going thru counseling now to work things out. It's been a very difficult 2 wks and I think it's been more compounded by the fact that I knew I had to return to work.
Great Wolf Lodge was awesome! The kids had a fabulous time. Here's a link to our photos. http://www.imagestation.com/album/index.html?id=2100191866
We'll be going back, I'm just not sure when. My dh gets a deal as he works for a Police Dept and they get a Corp rate. It's $200 including taxes.

My Christmas package is ready to go out to my exchange person. I finished up shopping tonight.

Marilynn

I'm cleaning off my camera and I thought I would share these pictures of the toy room I did for my mom.

the shelf had to stay, it was bolted into the wall. I think a couple of antique toys would look really cute up there.

That red blob on the right is a big bean bag thing and there is an art easel by it too.

cabmom - Hugs to you! I'm so sorry you are going through that. That's great that you are getting some help. We are all here if you need to talk. Happy early Birthday to Dean!!

glt - Yuck on the snow! What kind of stroller do you have? I just bought the generic cover and it fits our stroller fine. I need to go dig in the garage for it actually.

alice - Woo hoo for the "glimmer"!! I rarely by anything at Williams Sonoma either. Their kitchen soap/lotion combo is great though. And if you have anything stainless in your kitchen they have an inexpensive rag that works well for that stuff.

nucpharm - That's great that your mom is doing Thanksgiving! How awesome that you get paid for the extra babysitting day.

diskim - I can't wait to see Christmas pictures from your house!!! I'm glad you had fun at the show, that stinks that it was a bit more commercialized this year.

diz - Yeah for Carson!!! I hope it's a trend! I hope your DH gets home soon and safely!

jill - 6 soccer games? Oh my goodness! May the force be with you ;) Glad everyone had fun at the germ factory! LOL!

see ya!

tamie

Diz- I am SO HAPPY for you that you got a good night's sleep last night! Let's hope the trend continues for Carson! Hope your DH made it home OK.

Cabmom- I am glad you are getting help for your PPD. That has to be hard, esp with trying to take care of your children. What kind of work do you do? I'm glad you have been able to postpone it until after the 1st of the year. Please know we are here if you ever need to talk, vent, whine- :grouphug: . I enjoyed looking at your photos- it looks like a really neat place!

Tamie- the playroom is so neat! I love it and Tyler will too. :thumbsup2 That is so funny you mention the soap and lotion- that's what my mom bought for herself yesterday! She bought the tangerine scent and I was envious. I just have enough soap stuff right now, so I couldn't justify it.

Nuc- wasn't that recipe booklet from W and S neat? I want to make that apple tart. And I would like a big heaping serving of turkey, mashed potatoes and green beans please! It all looks so yummy.

Kim- sounds like you had a neato day in NYC! What fun! I can only dream- I always picture myself at Central Park if I ever go. Wow, Emmy has two AG dolls! I plan on getting Molly, "Molly" when she is 4 or 5. I was so tickled to see that AG's Molly's daddy was a soldier. My friend bought me the paperback set of Molly books when my Molly was born- it will be fun to someday start collecting. I will need Gramma's help though! It's pricey goods! Sorry the Spectacular wasn't quite as Spectacular as year's past. Still sounds like a fun day though!

And, Wow, Fab, you are on the ball for the exchange! I wrapped my stuff up tonight- I am waiting on one more thing and then I have to stop- my box is almost too small as it is. (not that it's a huge box). So, I should be able to get it out next Tuesday or Weds.

Joats- what did you think of Lost? I was disappointed more wasn't revealed to us; now we are hanging by not much info until Feb. :guilty:

We had our usual every other week take out Chinese for dinner. Molly acted like a pistol the last hour or so- she had a mega nap so I couldn't imagine she was sleepy, but she went right to bed, so I guess she was. We have a soccer game tomorrow morning (Josh) and then we need to go to Costco for some meats, milk, and a few other odds and ends. I swear though, I am taking out cash before we go so we do not overspend. We really gotta crack the whip the next few months before Disney, if I am gonna get that visa paid down before we charge it back up at the World.

Jill - I think there is going to be a HS Musical production on Broadway as well but I'm not sure. I got tickets for the HS Musical concert which (I think) is going to have all the original cast except Zach ( I think he's the blonde kid but I'm not sure. Thankfully, I don't know any of them by name). If you go to ticketmaster and do a search for "high school musical", it will come up. The tickets go on sale to the general public today (not sure of the time - check the thread on the budget board). I got tickets on presale yesterday and they weren't that great but at least I have them. Apparently, they are already selling on e-bay for more than twice the cost. People are just insane.

cabmom - I'm so sorry to hear about your depression. I hope everything gets better soon :grouphug: . I know how hard returning to work is so if you ever need to talk, feel free to pm me. I've struggled with it myself but I have no choice. At least I enjoy what I do when I get there.

Tamie - That playroom is so awesome!! Is the chalkboard done with that chalkboard paint? It is so cool!

Robin - I am totally embarassed to say that Emmy has 10 AG dolls  . The only one she needs is Addy and she will have the whole collection including an AG Today doll. I have to just say that I have only bought 3 of them. The rest were bought by my mom or stepmom. Emily bought Samantha with her birthday money 2 years ago. I joke with her and tell her I'm selling them on e-bay as soon as she leaves for college. She told me she is taking them to college with her. She is very careful with them. They are all in perfect condition. I get really embarassed when someone walks into her room and sees them all. She looks so spoiled. Of course, she has not gotten my favorite to spite me. Addy is my favorite character. I love her stories. They make me cry!

OK, I better get moving. Let's see... we have soccer, boy scouts (overlaps with soccer - must skip), ice skating and basketball (overlaps by 1/2 an hour with ice skating). Then, my mom is supposed to take Emmy to the tack shop to buy her boots because she is getting sores. Hopefully, I'll get to the mall and Home Depot to run a few errands. On top of all that, I have to calculate grades tonight. The fun never ends  . I have to admit I'm getting very stressed out about Thanksgiving. I have so much to do still.

ETA - Robin - I must respond to your post about Lost. I was SO HAPPY Kate finally slept with Sawyer. I don't know how any woman could possibly resist him for that long. I am totally frustrated that there will be no new episodes until February. I also would like to have seen what is up with Sun since she killed that woman (don't remeber he name....I want to say Colleen).

Good morning! I'm sorry I've been so absent lately. Yesterday morning we had a Veterans' Day program in the morning and then we were in lockdown for almost 20 minutes. One of our emotionally disturbed students decided he was going to walk out of the building and write profanities about our principal on one of the outside benches. My day was totally screwed up and I actually had to bring home papers to correct, which I usually try to do at school.

The house is coming along nicely. The roofer is coming today to put the shingles on. Also, a mason is coming to repair and extend our existing chimney. DH is going to be working on the heat all weekend. He's all manic about getting it done and will be a much calmer person when it's finished.

Here's the latest drama from my neighbor...She and her husband are refusing to pay the contractor for the work he did on their bathroom. She is not happy with the work he did, particularly the drywall. He told her repeatedly that she just needed to tell him what she wasn't happy with, and he would gladly fix it. Well, now they're refusing to pay him the $3000 they owe for that work and he is not doing their kitchen. He told me yesterday that he's probably going to have to take them to court, but he's going to let them stew for a while.
I have always thought she was a difficult person to please and from what our contractor says, she's impossible to please.
At least he won't have to leave our job to go to their house.

They (neighbors) were out on Thursday staring at our house and even going across the street to see what was going on.

I'll try to post some updated pics later this morning. I have to shower and give Jimmy a scrubby. I was just too tired last night to bathe him by myself. DH was prepping his stuff so he could get right to work today.

I hope you're all well and have a great weekend!

Morning! Quick post then I need to shower and prepare for the morning - two volleyball games! Drum roll please...Carson slept from 9-7!!!!!! He woke up at 5 but fell asleep as I walked downstairs so I just got on the couch with him and we both went back to sleep! WOW! I can hear DH in there with him now trying to make him laugh - so cute. He just started belly laughing in the last day or so and only Hayley and I have been able to get him to do it so far so he's determined!

jill - can't wait to see new pics. What crazy neighbors you have - glad you get some good out of it as the contractor can focus on your house!

diskim - we are AG obsessed here as well. The girls got Bitty Babies at 2 and 6 months and progressed to the historical dolls in kindergarten. They each have 3 and would gladly take more. They also have huge bins of the clothes and accessories and they play with them often - they do take very good care of them. The only ones with messed up hair are their oldest ones. I'm as obsessed as they are which doesn't help! The girls looked at the full page HS Musical ad in the paper yesterday - I thought about getting tickets but decided against it since we're not sure what's up with us. Zach Efron is the main guy, but the concert will be awesome without him...the girls say the new guy sings better as they are pumping him up on the Disney Channel with a video of one of his songs.

robin - you won't regret starting the American Girl trend with Molly - it just grows with them and it's very high quality stuff. The only items we weren't so pleased with were Bitty Baby furniture.

tykes - what a cute playroom!!

cabmom - love your pictures - looks like you guys had fun! I'm so sorry you're going through the PPD issues, that must be so difficult - we're always here to listen to you!

Well, I need to shower. We never got the snow/ice - I'll bet GLT did, though. Have a wonderful Saturday - hello to everyone!!!!!

Hi everybody :sunny: !

It feels like such a long time since I have posted. I have been keeping up with reading though. I feel a bit like a stalker these days since I don't get to post as much as I would like but I still know what's going on with all of you.

Diz,
Wow! I'm so happy that the sleep is starting to happen for you :sunny: ! And the belly laughs too :sunny: ! How wonderful.

Lissa,
Your neighbor sounds sounds like a nut. I hope your contractor gets his money.

Diskim,
It sounds like you had a wonderful day in the city :) . And I still wish I was one your kids so I could do all the fun stuff you do with them ;) . I was thinking of gettting my neice something AG for her birthday. She will be turning 6 and likes dolls and is starting to read. I'll have to take a look at the website and see if there is anything remotely in my price range.

Robin,
How is your eye? I think ds is starting with the pink eye on the other side now. Good luck with getting the credit cards back down. Mine are sky high right now thanks to our September trip  .

Tamie,
The playroom is gorgeous! Tyler must love it.

Cabmom,
Hugs to you :grouphug: . As the other moms said, we are here if you need to talk. Happy Birthday to Dean :bday: !

Jill,
I'm glad to here you are doing well :) . Have fun with all the soccer stuff. We have ds's banquet today.

Nucpharm,
That holiday thing you are going to sounds awesome. I wish they did something like that around here.

GLT,
My ds does speech therapy and it has helped him alot. He had some issues with hearing loss when he was younger so he never learned to make some of the sounds you need to speak correctly. He is much clearer now. Sorry about the car. I'm glad your neighbor was able to get Lindsay for you so you didn't have to walk in the weather.

Hi to SL, Hillbeans, Gems, GM, and everyone  !

Well, my first week slicing is over and I still have all my fingers :cheer2: . Things are turning mega hectic at work as this is the busiest time of year. I'll be in the loony bin by Christmas  ;) .

Katrina has turned into quite the monkey. She climbs all over everything including the furniture and coffe table. She also loves to throw her food everywhere like someone else mentioned their children doing. I hope it's a quick stage. She is just so sweet with her big hugs and kisses though. I'm savoring every moment I can get.

I'll be finished my exchange shopping on Monday as there are a couple of last minute things I want to pick up at work. I'm hoping my package will go out on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Ds has his soccer banquet today and I woke up with a horrible migraine. I also managed to scratch my eye somehow and it's driving me nuts. I took a bit of a nap and the migraine subsided but my eye is still bugging me. I hope it goes away on its own and I don't need to go to the eye doctor.

Tomorrow we are going to lunch to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. My grandfather is doing very well. He is scheduled to have surgery on Dec. 15th to remove the cancerous tumor on his liver.

Well, I suppose I should start getting everyone ready for the soccer banquet. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend  .

Kim, could you have a more jam packed day? Geesh! I hope you get thru it ok! And WHOA on the AG dolls! I think it's neat, esp because she takes such good care of them. She knows they are something of value & I too enjoy buying my kids things they appreciate and take care of. (which is kinda rare with the boys- they mostly just love $8 action figures, so I've been lucky I guess).

It finally clicked with me why they showed that back story of Kate and how it tied into the show- that she wasn't going to run any more from people she loves. Duh. My mom and I were trying to figure it out the other day. I too have wondered what is going on with Sun. And I still just have so many questions- like, what DID they do to Claire (the others, when she was pregnant?)- I hope we see some more of that when it comes back. I wonder if that saying "Look to the North" on Eko's stick is a clue to go to the north side of the island, and they will be able to see the other island? :confused3

Diz- YAY YAY YAY for your family and Carson sleeping so well! Maybe you have gotten over that hump, and from now on he will sleep well more often than not. It always seemed to happen around 4-6 months for us. Although totally thru the night wasn't til 8-9 months.

Alisa- unfreakingbelievable about your neighbor and the contractor! Some people just cannot be pleased and that's kind of sad. You have to wonder what made them that way. I'm glad your house is moving right along- it sounds like your DH is quite handy- does he do some of this sort of stuff for a living?

Well, I need to dry my hair and get ready for Costco. DH took Josh to the game, but then we're meeting at Costco afterwards. Oh, and I looked in the mirror this AM and thought, "I look thinner" so I grabbed the scale out of the closet, and I have lost 6 pounds since I last weighed myself about 6-7 weeks ago! I had gained 4 back over the summer with the Depo crap, but now I have lost 15 pounds since I started exercising in April! :cheer2: If I lose another 13, I will be at the size I was when I got pregnant with Joshua. Lose 23-24 pounds and I will be where I was when I got PG with Sam. Let me just say this to you ladies with only one child so far- LOSE ALL THE WEIGHT before you have another, if it's possible! It's soooooo hard to lose it after the 2nd and the 3rd one! It's been a tough lesson to learn for me.

val - That's me with the monkey and the food thrower! It's such a fun stage isn't it? I hope it goes quickly too. Tyler has gotten a bit better. When he really starts chucking stuff we take him out of the highchair. If he's hungry later he can have what he didn't finish or something healthy, no snacks, but back in the high chair. We also make him help us clean up what he throws.

alice -Woo hoo on the weight loss!! That's great.

lissawynn - What a pain in the butt your neighbor sounds like! I can't imagine dealing with people like that, the poor contractor.

diz - yeah for Carson! How cute on the laugh!!

diskim - Yes, it's chalkboard paint. It went on easily, just like regular paint. That's great that your daughter takes such good care of her dolls.

I need to run. We have a bday party to go to this afternoon and then I have to finish packing!

Bye all! See you in a week.

Tamie

ps. is there anywhere at the Beach Club or Disney property that I can hop online?

Good morning everyone!

DH is with Kailey for one of the last days of soccer season. I volunteered to bring snack this week - therefore he had to take snack this morning. :teeth:
Baby is sleeping. The sun is shining.

And I'm on my computer. What to do with me?

Dizagain - that is great both about the laughing (I love that sound) and the sleep! You must feel positively fresh and new. Maybe like a daisy. :daisy:

Re American Girl - they came out with a "Kailey" doll awhile back. So I had to get the whole set. I did not give it to her, as she is pretty rough with her stuff and doesn't care for dolls anyhow. But how could I not get it??

Jill - yes, I took a lovely walk - but forgot the binky!!!! I let her chew on my thumb but she wasn't happy about it.

GLT - that weather sounds awful! Good luck on the stroller cover - I only bought a cheapo one that I never used because Kailey hated the stroller.

Ginamarie - my old neighbor (who moved away - yay, then moved back - ugh) left so much junk in her house that the new neighbors had to rent a giant trash container to get rid of it all - clothes, dishes, all kinds of stuff. That one was a real treat, let me tell ya.

Robin - great job on your financial control! I am terrible at the holidays because I keep seeing things I like - like these adorable humidifiers at Bed Bath and Beyond (animals like frogs and cows and stuff). I always overspend at Costco, because I end up picking up clothing for the girls or something for the house. I found a great advent calendar for around $30 and later saw almost the same one in a catalog for 90!

Lissa - your neighbors sound like total nuts! That must be really rough for the contractor, especially around the holidays.

I think Halloween kind of marks the beginning of the shopping season anymore. I don't really mind because I like to do it early - but I was kind of sick of it all when we went to WDW in January and the decorations were still up.

Z - that is so funny about the matching stuff! I just had to buy the fox sweater for Kailey this time around because I had purchased the skirt and t-shirt last time around.

Diskim- I love that Ferris wheel, but it gave me the willies the last time that I rode it with Kailey because I kept having visions of her falling to the floor. You are so welcome for the gifts! I love those nightlights - they're very pretty when it's dark.

Cabmom - I'm so sorry about the PPD - but I think it's great that you are working on resolving it.

Tamie - I got the lavender soap and lotion. Yum!

FF - I love that houndstooth stuff! I almost bought the skort, but Kailey has been complaining that her knees are cold even with tights, so I passed.

Tkyes - Dh used his computer (on line) in our room at the Beach Club. Have a great time!

DH came back and Kailey was an amazing goalie today! The coach even asked if she'd been practicing being a goalie (no) because she was jumping all over those balls - came back grinning and very muddy with donut smears on her face. It was a good morning. :cool1:

Good afternoon all! Well, I'm just psyched, psyched, psyched! Not only did Luke sleep through the night last night :cheer2: :cheer2: , but he cut his first two teeth :cheer2: :cheer2: , AND I survived Christmas photos at Wal-Mart this morning!!   What a zoo, though. We just did a walk-in, but there was just the family getting their pictures done--poor mom with 5 kids, including 10mo twins (4 boys and a girl--cabmom, better get busy!). So, our wait was short, and we had to get the girls in their dresses and all. I splurged on the huge photo package, so I could get the canvas look 16X20 of all 4--heck, it took the planets aligning just to get the picture taken, what are the odds I'll get another chance in 10 years? I also got our Christmas cards and two "First Christmas" ornaments with Luke on them (one's a back-up). It's just such a relief to get that under my belt ! Now, if I could only mail out my exchange package...

Kim--Jocelyn and her friends did the ferris wheel when they were down there--she thought it was the coolest thing! They didn't do AG, though, I think as a group they're too "sophisticated" (at the ripe old age of 11), but Jocelyn has Samantha and most of the books for everyone.

GLT--My only recommendation on the stroller cover is, don't get a super el-cheapo one. We used one in WDW that was real cheap, and it ripped apart after one day. Now granted, it was a rainy, windy day, but the thing was in tatters and unusable. There's no way it would stand up to Wisconsin weather, esp. if you're thinking about waking in stuff you normally wouldn't be.

Alisa--So glad the renovations are chugging along. And the stuff on your neighbor--sheesh! At least you know that no, it wasn't just you, they are really nuts!

Val--Glad your fingers are intact. You know, I always refer to 1yo's as "chimps in a little girl (boy) suit", because it's so true! It's a precious age, though.

dizagain--There must have been something in the air last night, that we both got to sleep! :wizard: that it continues for us!

cabmom--Good to hear from you. I'm glad you're getting help for you PPD. My mom suffered from it after my sister (her fourth baby in five years), and back then, it was never treated. It's a terrible thing.

Tamie--That playroom looks really nice. Have a fabulous trip!

Hi to everyone else--time to get some work done.

SL - Check out the miniature AG dolls. I think they are around 20 bucks and they come with a little book. They are really cute. Emmy has a few of those too

Fab - Emmy has Kailey too. That was all she wanted that year so I bought the whole set. I like her story too. She tries to save her beachy town from construction/save the wildlife, etc. Emmy loves that stuff.

BNB - It sounds like you are having a great day! We have to pick up our pictures today. I need to make an appointment for all of us to get our picture taken. I have a coupon for one of those large canvas pictures for half price. I need to use it before the end of the month.

Well, I'm taking a short break from my hectic life to decompress at the moment. I have 20 minutes before I get my hair cut. Then, I have to go to Home Depot, etc. I think I might just schedule in dinner somewhere. This 4 day weekend is killing me. I need to go to work to relax. I swear I work so much harder when I'm home!
