Good morning all! Back to the daily grind!
icebrat--Tess is just adorable! Good score on the clothes and things, too--we'll have you as a "Gymbo power shopper" in no time! I can see why you're taking Tess--who could resist that little face!
nucpharm--We joked that Luke would have to come out of the womb talking, just so he could get a word in edgewise! My older three never shut up! I'm more surprised at what the word was, I was expecting "Dada" or some such. BTW, Jocelyn's first word was "Uh-oh!"
Robin--I have had shopping trips like yours--it's kind of like, just kill me now, I don't have the energy to do it myself! And my kids wonder why it's such a thrill to go to Wal-Mart all by myself, alone!
Oh, and BTW, our rec room is huge and tall. We have an oversized 2-car garage, and the rec room is over that. Most of it is vaulted ceiling, but part of it has a loft over it. You can stand in the middle of the loft, but the sides slope. DH put in things so the swings and trapeze go in there in the winter time, and for Robert's birthday one year, DH put in an indoor sandbox. The down side is, it's typically heated by electric ($$), but there's a wood stove, too, so it's where we go on snow days and the like. Anyway, it's abig room, but a ton of fun for the kids, and makes a great party spot.
J&D--What do you mean, you don't let your DD have unlimited amounts of soda and junk food all day long?!? What a mean mommy! OMG, that would just drive me nuts!
Kim--I hope Aidan is feeling better soon. It's so hard when a little one is sick--even if you go to work, your mind isn't there.
"Hi" to all the moms I missed!
