The *OFFICIAL* Grey's Anatomy Fan Thread!

I have to agree - this season finale was too sad. Nothing to enlighten us.

I really wish they would have put something in the episode that was a happy ending.

I'll be staying tuned for next season.

I have to agree with most everyone here. This episode was too much of a downer. There really wasn't one bright spot in any of it. I have been such a fan since the beginning and I'm not even sure if I want to know what happens. Oh well, maybe I'll feel differently once September gets here.

I was glad that Richard and Adele got back together and that the baby was apparently his. That was the only redeeming issue in the whole episode for me.

I totally agree with this. It was so nice to seem them still in love, even after everything that has happened. I'll be interested to see what happens with them if Richard keeps his job.

And why wouldn't Meredith's dad and step-mom have said "Hey! Our daughter is in med school, too! She's doing her internship this year." It was never discussed? Meredith has no idea? Does anybody know if she's ever even met her half-sister? :confused3 Throwing her in for shock value is NOT COOL.

Meredith and her dad did have a conversation about her half-sister being in med school. The episode when his wife died, one of the conversations they had was about his daughter dealing with the stress of med school and Mer looked at him and said something like, "Umm, yeah, I know all about it"

And, I think Meredith was talking about more than one relationship when she said to the wedding audience, "It's over. It's over. It's so over." Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the camera angle seemed pretty intentional with Derek in the background watching her.

Oh I definitely think that too. Especially since her speech was so bad. "It's over. Go home"?:confused3 How about "Thank you everyone for coming, but I'm sorry there won't be a wedding today"? And where did all those people come from suddenly? Since when do Burke and Christina know that many people? :rotfl:

BIG BROTHER starts in about 6 weeks!!! :cool1: :rotfl2:

Can't wait til BB!!!

Was Merideth breaking up with McDreamy at the alter? When she said it is so over? She doesn't really seem to be that into him anymore.

And why did Christina say I'm free?

Calli loved throwing it in Izzy's face about them (her) wanting a baby!

I think she knew that her half sister was in med school. The parents mentioned it more than once.

I'm sure Mer saw her at the funeral, since we got a glimpse of her with the dad last week.

Meredith didn't go to the funeral....

Please send McDreamy my way. I will take good care of him. Meredith was relying on Christina to have a "happy ending" so that she could have hope that there really could be happy endings. That is why she was so insistent Christina make it down the aisle. Mc Dreamy asked Mer to commit, and she can't because she doesn't think there will ever be a happy ending. Look at the examples she has had: her parents, her mom and the chief, her dad and her step-mom, and now Burke and Christina. There is no happily every after for her.

I think Burke was right that the best thing to do if he loves Christina is to let her go. He did and she felt the sense of freedom. It's one thing to love someone, it's another to commit to them for the rest of your life, especially when you are so career-driven that you can't go an entire day without cutting someone. Her identity is tied to her career and she can't tolerate anything that interferes with that - love, friendship, compassion for her patients.

I know a lot of people are sick of Izzy, but I feel sorry for her. She wants to love someone and have them love her back, but has had terrible luck (Denny dies, George is married, Alex is a jerk).

***? My DVR taped from 9pm-10:07pm, right when Christina was about to go thru the doors. Now I see that a lot happened after that! Why did the comcast tv guide on the television say that it was only supposed to be until 10:07? I can't pull up the episode on abc.com yet. Does anyone know where else I can find the episode?:confused3

It was quite possibly the worst season finale I've ever seen. I was just sitting there thinking, 'you have GOT to be kidding me.'

You all have summed up all of my complaints quite nicely! :teeth:

Does anyone think that Preston is gone, gone, like from the show?

CSI was sooo much better!

Hi guys!

Just popping in to say I hated last night's episode. Where was McSteamy? They have to give him more than a couple of lines. The Izzy and George storyline is so blah. Ava/Rebecca being gone before Alex got back, Meredith dumping Derek, etc...

Was Meredith's half sister the one that hit on Derek last week?

I hated it too...I felt like slapping Izzy, every time some one makes a little speech she changes her mind? I thought it was very predicitable. The only surprise was Callie beating out the nazi for head resident job.

I
[*]More Izzy whining to George. I just bet she'll end up pregnant from their one night stand.:headache:

I thought this after the last couple weeks of George telling Izzy he is sticking with Callie but now after Callie pulling the whole "we're trying to have a baby, as a matter of fact we started earlier ;) " scene, I think Callie will end up pregnant after George decides the marriage was a mistake and he is in love with Izzy/ Did you see his face when Callie was telling him "how she wants a baby - she doesn't know why, it's irrational, hormonal even" :rotfl2: George is WAYYYYY too easily manuevered by the others - it's like he is trying to fit in and seek approval from them all;
He's Burke's man, He's chiefs informer, He supported Bailey during her labor & delivery, etc. He needs to grow a back bone and be a man.

This year was NOT a year for Season Finales :sad2: I can't recall one that I watched that left me wanting more. Sure, I'll watch in the fall when they pick up but no real cliff hangers. Greys was depressing and everyones relationships fell apart.

Callie & George & Izzy - who does he pick - do we really care? Either way it will cause problems for all.

Bailey - Callie got the chief resident position so I am sure she was have some issues to deal with. BUT if George & Callie hit the rocks will Callie stay? Maybe Callie won't be able to cope and....

Izzy - gee, still whining about lost loves - get over it already - stop choosing people that are a lost cause - Denny - dying, Alex - playboy, George - married. And each one she has been wrought with sadness, guilt, etc.

Meredith - life is always tumultuous - she needs to get her head straightened out before trying to make anything work with anyone. It seems like unless her life is full of drama she's not happy. Feel bad for me, poor me, love me. Noone can love her till she learns to love herself. I like her character but I hope that the writers help her progress past her upbringing and move on. She needs to accept that her parents messed up and get over it. Maybe her family has failed her but she needs to realize that her friends have not.

Derek - So he wants Mer in Season 1, then Addison comes and he chooses to try to make that work, then he decided to Divorce Addison and try to make it with Meredith again. Then she nearly drowns and he realizes he loves her and cannot lose her. Then she's goes through losing her mother, her stepmother, and yet again being both literally and emotionally abused by her father and he runs the other way :confused3 Way to prove to Mer that all men don't leave when the going gets tough. If my husband treated me the way he is treating her, he would be the next thing to go 6 feet under  I know TV land but come on....I know your step mothers funeral was yesterday and you have been having a rough time but hey, I almost scored last night! Mer was definitely making it a point to Derek that it is "most definitely over" not just telling everyone in the lame speech that the weddig is off.

Christina - definitely glad she is "free" I think she is distraught that it is over (normal feeling) but glad to stop faking it for everyone else. It was made apparent that she has a tendency to stick by father figures to further advance her career and that is her true mate (at least for now). She is married to her career and doesn't have the time or inclination to really make it in a relationship.

www.abc.com has previous shows you can watch!

::yes:: Yep, same woman.

Oh so let me put on my psychic cap and predict that Derek is going to have a fling with the half sister early next season, thus further estranging her from Meredith and complicating Mer & Derek's relationship even further.

Izzie had better not be pregnant. Uggh. That would make things even more hokey and soap opera in the most predictable and tired manner.

Ok I need some clairification:

I did see Bailey see the sign proclaiming Callie as chief, BUT, when McDreamy goes in and talks to the chief, he tells him to stick with it, a good chief learns from his mistakes, ect. Then the way the chief looks out the window, as if he is really considering it.

I took that as in the chief may possibly stay in the position.

But did that conversation happen earlier? Before he posted the letter?

To make this show even more soap opera-ish....anyone else think it's possible George is going to hook up with Meredith's half sister? I mean, he was in "love" with Meredith, so maybe if he decides to repeat his internship, he will get close with Lexi and take the easy way out by dumping Izzie and Callie.
