Here's what I ended up with:

2 adults and 1 child under 2
5 nights at the Polynesian (1/5-1/10), standard view room
5 tickets with park hopper
Disney Dining Plan

Total = $2952.62 with SPD promo

A rack-rate standard view room at the Poly is $2495.27. Adding tickets with park hopper makes it $3239.36. With the DDP it's $3825.96. That's an $873.34 savings. The first quote the Disney cm gave me was for the room only offer and it was a lot higher, at around $3400, but the total we ended up with was a lot less than I calculated on my own for the SPD promo last week ($3131.68). I'm not complaining! :)

Hmmm just making sure this is correct. When I calculated your discounts... The savings for The Poly for your dates for the quoted 35% discount = 2495.27(.35) = $873.34. Just wondering if s/p/d is really what you got, or if you truly got room discount with reg priced dining and park tickets? Or maybe both somehow? Just trying to plan the numbers for our trip so far staing at deluxe seems to be better to do RO discount... Am I losing it here?:confused3

It took me a while to figure it out too. Looks like its a ro discount which is the better discount.

Would anyone be willing to run the numbers for me - I know that October 8 is only 2 days away but im going CRAZZZZZY!!!

The info is:

2 Adults, January 8 - 11, at All Star Music w/
Disney Dining Plan + 3 day tickets (no special options)

Thank you in advance :)

I called WDW and the CM I spoke with gave me a quote based on SPD when it becomes available Oct 8. I have 3 adults, 2 children, POR standard room, Feb 26- March 7 (9 nights). She quoted me $5183. No hoppers, no insurance. Does this sound correct? TIA :thumbsup2

Bummer, my S/P/D quote from Disney was more than what I had figured. Here's what I first came up with:

All Stars Music, 02/20/14 - 03/01/14, 9 nights, two adults

Hotel: 1,292.72
Two day base tickets: 366.36
Regular dining plan 20.00 x 2 (peak season?): 360.00

My estimated total: 1,959.08

Disney quoted total: 2,269.62

Was my estimate way off, like should I have added 13% to the dining cost? Either way, I went ahead and book the S/P/D, but *fingers crossed* I'm hoping a good AP discount comes out later.

Thanks in advance! :)

I ran the exact same package myself to see what would work for my family a while ago. According to my calculations for POR, 3A 2C, 9 nights, 8 day MYW no hoppers, with DDP would have been $5138. So less than $50 difference. And that was when I was doing the calcs for room at rack rate and tix and DDP at child prices for everyone. People are reporting SPD is different this year. Either way, I think your quote sounds pretty close to expected.

Your math on the DDP was wrong. At All-Stars, you'd need to pay QDSP at child's prices and then upgrade to DDP. It works out to almost $35/pp instead of $20.

But it's also hard to tell because people are saying SPD is some weird combo room/tix/dining discount this year instead of adults at kids prices like last year. I don't think anyone has cracked the math on it yet.

Thanks, nervous1sttimer, it makes me feel better knowing it was my error instead of the other way around! in that case, my S/P/D price was actually about $20.00 less than my estimate, so I'm going to count my blessings and call it a day. All this number crunching has turned my mind to mush!! ;)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

You know, you may be right. I was sure it was a SPD deal, though, but the math does come to 35% off the room. The promo code on my reservation invoice doesn't match the promo codes on the Disney Visa website, though: JHP / MAGIC YOUR WAY DINE - VISA

The Disney Visa website has code JHO for room only; JJQ for Value Resorts and code TRJ for Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts for SPD.

POFQ 10 days GV room and 2 day base ticket $2761 jan 29 - feb 8. 2 adults. We have APs, so I will save the 2 day park tickets for AP renewal.
Trying to figure out the breakdown, I took out the cost of 2 day base tickets. So I think room discount for POFQ is 25% and DDP works out to $42/day per person? Still working on the Disney math, lol

Priced out pkg with rack rate $3576.

Has anyone out there gotten a similar quote for WL/8 nights/6 day base ticket for 2 adults? We're thinking of adding the DDP and now im wondering if SPD will work out better for us than a RO.

Right now the RO will save us approx. $1250..Just trying to get my math right so I know what I want once all the discounts go public tomorrow...

DDP for 2 adults for 8 nights costs less than $950. So the RO discount is essentially FD + an extra $300 for you. There is no way SPD would be better than that. :)

Since I have some time to kill until Oct 8th.....

CSR $1234.12 Rack rate
$549.54--Child's price 2 day base tix
$283.20---Child's price DP
=$2066.86

$85.14 difference. Still can't quite crack the code:rotfl:
Hi, I have been quoted a price for POR for Jan. 5-10th MYW plus Dining, 5 Day base tickets for 1 adult and 1 Disney Adult (10) French Q with Garden View with Visa S/P/D $1715. I guess this is a good quote but it is a small bit out of my price range. I am wondering if it would save to book value and then upgrade to dining plan. We have been to Disney twice but never experienced Character meals and would really like to this trip. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know when this offer will be on the Disney Website under the special offers? I checked today and not there.
