The "Official" 2014 Stay/Play/Dine thread

Hi, I have been quoted a price for POR for Jan. 5-10th MYW plus Dining, 5 Day base tickets for 1 adult and 1 Disney Adult (10) French Q with Garden View with Visa S/P/D $1715. I guess this is a good quote but it is a small bit out of my price range. I am wondering if it would save to book value and then upgrade to dining plan. We have been to Disney twice but never experienced Character meals and would really like to this trip. Thanks in advance!

Again, I'm not sure exactly how the discount is being figured, but here is my best guess...

1/5-1/10 POP Century: $562.48
5 day base tix x2 childs price: $575.10
$34.77 ($19.02 upgrade cost + $15.75 child cost)x 5 nightsx 2 people= $347.70
=$1485.28

So at first glance it looks like you would save around $200 to stay value vs. mod. but I would definitely call to get a quote to confirm!

tip: you have to reload the special offers page a few times if it doesn't show up the first time!

2 Adults
3/1-3/6 6 Nights POFQ
5 Day MYW Base Tickets
2156.96

Rack rate was 2622.80, $465.84 in savings. More money for Disney extras! Awesome! :yay:

I am not sure how they are arriving at the total price since it is coming out much higher than I had worked it out using child's dining and ticket prices.

I priced an SPD package since RO link isn't working and it was about $100 more than my calculations using rack rate plus child's price tickets and dining. On an $8000 package, $100 is not a major percentage difference.

Very sad the RO link still is not working though...

Just tried the RO and it's loading for me, try to refresh until it shows up and works! I think the site is a little buggy atm.

I booked S/P/D for 4-nights at CBR in a standard room but only 2-day tickets since that was the minimum. We have old park hopper good-till-the-end-of-time passes so if we want to go another day, we can for nothing. They wanted $140 more for the extra day for 2 adults (my kid is considered an infant at he time)

Total was $1,267

And would have been around $775 for just RO. Basically we got 2 adults into the park for 2-days and food for 4-days for all 3 of us for $500. Sounds fair to me.

I booked just after midnight, POFQ for marathon weekend (1/11-14). It was a little splurgy since I had been debating between a value or using Wyndham points at WBC, but with the cost difference split between me and my SIL who's traveling with me (girls' weekend!), and the chance to have some nice sit-down meals without worrying about the kids' attention span - totally worth it! :woohoo:

I canceled the S/P/D ressie I booked last week because I got a FD PIN code this morning! Saved enough to book an extra night and another day of park tickets for the 3 of us and still have $16 left over after that. pixiedust:

So, has anyone figured out the math used for the S/P/D discount? I've tried figuring it out every way I can, but it all still comes back as "funny math"! :)

We saved $700 by booking spd! 5 night package with 5 adults 2 kids (in 2 rooms) at Pop Century....6 day base tickets. We took the QS dining..better deal for us since were only eating 3 Table service meals anyhow....already had it booked without dining....so the total cost for all 7 of us to eat on the QSDP is only $440! That comes out to $12.50 per person per day! Not too shabby! Thanks Disney!

Just heard from my TA and we switched from AOA cars room 5day 4 night deluxe dining for 4 adults 2 kids that was about 5500 and with the SPD now in two rooms in AS Music with everything else the same is about 4740 so I just saved 750 !!!!!!! That didn't include the 400 I saved with AAA so total savings is 1008.04 I am so happy !!!!!:cool1::cool1::dance3::cheer2:pixiedust:

Not me! I was really trying, but was still getting the "funny math" too! At least figuring child's price tickets & dining gets you *pretty close*. :rotfl:

My info:

Feb 16 - 21. 2 Adults. POFQ, Standard Room, 5 day tickets with hoppers, standard dining plan. $2144.10.

Original price was $2529.98, only difference is I added a day onto the tickets when I booked SPD.

FWIW, I just priced out the same dates/tickets/dining plan with RO at POR, and it came in at $2290.86. Better deal for me to do S/P/D ($146.76 cheaper). Plus I got the resort I wanted.

S/P/D March 4 - March 10 (6 nights) 2 adults, Pop Century standard room with 5 day park hoppers for $1921.24!! Sounds good to me!!
